Of Rainbows and Dreams, and Some Apples it Seems (Private with livingbylies)

"Don't worry, ya can count on me!" Applejack replied with a wink. With that, she was out through the barn door. Applejack cantered across the dirt path created over time between the barn and her farmhouse. Upon reaching the front porch, she noticed Granny Smith sitting in her rocking chair, sleeping soundly. Smiling, she continued her way through the door and into the house.

Applejack knew exactly which sheets to grab, and where to find them. She made her way upstairs to a closet near their rooms, and opened it up. She pulled out a white sheet and another blanket, keeping them folded and laying them on her back. Closing the closet once again, she nonchalantly made her way back downstairs. To her surprise, Apple Bloom was waiting for her at the bottom.

"Hiya Applejack!" the little filly squealed. "Watcha doin'?"

Aw, horseapples. Element of Honesty. "Oh, hey there, Apple Bloom! Ah'm just, um . . . takin' these sheets elsewhere," she said truthfully.

"Elsewhere? Where else would these sheets need ta be?" Apple Bloom questioned.

"Look, Ah don't really have time to talk right now, Apple Bloom," Applejack dismissed, walking passed her sister and toward the front door. "Don'tcha have yer friends or something who needja?"

Apple Bloom looked to the ground. "Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle are busy today . . ." she told her. "Ah was wondering if you'd like t-"

"Ah just can't right now, Apple Bloom. Tell ya what: you stay here in the house, and Ah'll come fetch fer ya in an hour or so, after Ah'm done with what Ah need to do, capeesh?" she reasoned.

Apple Bloom perked up. "Alright big sis!" she replied, happy with her sister's response. With a sigh, Applejack continued out the door and passed the sleeping Granny Smith. As she made her way to the barn, a suspicious blank flank was staring out the window at her.

"Rainbow, Ah'm here with the sheets!" Applejack called, walking through the open barn door and making her way to the still-wet Rainbow.

"Nobody noticed, did they?" Rainbow asked, sitting up in bed, wincing, and lying back down. "Thank you, I knew I could count on you Applejack," she said. Dashie had to admit, dry sheets seemed very welcoming at the moment. "I promises that won't happened again, I really just don't know what went wrong," she added, to emphasize that it was a one time thing. No question about it.

"Don't worry 'bout it, Rainbow Dash! Apple Bloom was quite an obstacle, but Ah was able ta keep her in the house. Ah don't blame ya for anythin' though!" she assured her friend. Applejack got to work preparing the bed for new sheets. "Ah'm gonna hafta lift ya off'a here, if'n ya can't do it yerself," Applejack warned, needing to be able to actually access the sheets beneath the pegasus.

"Are you sure Applebloom didn't suspects anything?" Rainbow asked, letting Applejack lift her out of bed and set her down on the ground while the sheets were changed. "I mean, she's a nice girl, but I don't exactly trust her to keep a secret whether or not its on purpose."

Applejack frowned. "Ah left her in the house, making sure she didn' come out. Ah doubt she even knows where Ah am right now," she reasoned, but with herself as well. The orange earth pony went about changing the sheets on Rainbow's temporary bed, bundling up the wet ones and laying out the new ones snugly over the top. She placed the dry blanket over the sheet and fluffed the pillow. "There we are," she said with a nod, "all done." Applejack picked up her pegasus friend and laid her back atop the bed, being sure to pull the sheets and blanket over her. "Comfy?"

Rainbow nodded, curling up underneath the warm, dry blankets and giving a small smile. "Thanks again for your help," she said. "I'll try and get out of your mane as soon as possible, but until then I appreciative the assistance. Did the harvest at least go well?" She asked, hoping her crash hadn't been a complete burden to the apple family.

"Ah think we got enough apples," Applejack replied, still somewhat concerned. "Are you sure ya'll gonna be alright this time?" she asked her friend. "If ya didn't know you were gonna make a mess, how can ya expect to know fer the next time?" she continued.

"I'm fine, Applejack! Really!" Rainbow Dash protested. "It was a one time thing, because I was really tired and couldn't even stand up if I had to go. I'm not tired anymore," she said, filling in the end of that sentencing in her head. She still couldn't exactly stand if she had too go, could she? (Even if she noticed, which was something she wouldn't.)

"Ah just had to lift you in and out of bed, missy," Applejack said flatly. "Now as much as Ah'd love ta trust ya, Ah simply can't trust that bladder of yours," she said. "Ah don't mind cleaning sheets too much, but even Ah would get bored of it. Do you have any recommendations as to how we c'n prevent it for the next time?" she asked her bedridden friend.

"I'm going to be fine, AJ. Seriously. Give me a couple hours, I'll be zipping around good as new. Besides, even if I wanted too or needed to its not like we could install a toilet in the bed, or anything. Nobody really has that kind of problem except like babies and stuff," she said. "But it really won't be a problem."
