Katie smiled and got as comfortable as she could in her current position and waited to return back to the house where Nick and the new hero were waiting for them.

One in the house she locked eyes with Nick'' If you make Katie extremely scared or upset or crying I will make you regret it '' Maria told him as she set Katie down'' now tell mama what your favorite food is so I can made you din-din '' Maria told Katie in a motherly way glad the other hero isn't in the room currently as she is sure a fight will happen

Nick was confused, but didn't want to be on the bad side of the killer vampire. Instead, he walked into the other room and waited for Maria. After Katie told Maria what she wanted to eat, she sat down at the table in the kitchen.

After abit Maria came in cleaning a knife one used for dinner prep but the fact remains its being done in a way to remind Nick if he isn't careful and upsets Katie on matters when not needed he will feel pain'' You really need a butcher knife so I can properly prepare meat .. '' Maria said as she sat down waiting for Nick to start talking on matters as its rather obvious he properly took issue with her not telling him of a lesser issue in the background

Nick was going to ask Maria to put the knife down, but he decided he wanted to keep both of his hands tonight. He recapped what Richard had told him what he knew about the gemstones and the demons associated with them.

''Yeah? So thats old news and not the more pressing .. its who you know as the Centurion kid and his forces '' Maria spoke as if the fact Nazi remnants trying to bring Lovecraftian beings to this plain is fairly old and normal'' So I expected you angered and to kick me out of the group for not speaking on that so to focus on one thing at a time namely the at the moment more pressing thing and then the next and so on '' Maria added sounding like stuff like that tended to happen for withholding things to keep everything on track and not run everyone into worry and stress filled panic

Despite what Maria was thinking, Nick thought otherwise. "No, I don't want to do that." He said. "We're up against a lot of evil right now, and I need all the help I can get. All i want to know is why you hid this information from me and Katie." He added, genuinely curious to hear Maria's explanation.

Maria eyes shown like embers to Nick at him acting like he might be the better one or the one in charge '' I am only letting you have a leader role for I can't be in the sun without proper arrangements made . So it is I who needs your help not you who needs mine '' Maria stated to Nick before getting out a stone for sharping blades and starting to sharping this kitchen knife '' As for why I withhold information like that well too much to handle at one time and a being will break in body or mind if not both .. Thus best to reveal information that just the most pressing at the moment and do the same later on down the line '' Maria offered her reasoning there

Nick sighed in frustration. "I'm not saying I want to be the leader." He replied. "The whole reason I asked you this in the first place is because I was genuinely curious as to why you kept this from me." He added. "Didn't Katie said bottling up feelings isn't a good thing? Why can't we apply that to secrets?"

''I am not holding secrets in the case of foes and threats its just that too much said at once or looked for from revealed can and has break several humans in the past .. I do not wish to ever cause that again'' Maria stated not getting how Nick doesn't understand too much information is just as bad if not worse then too little information '' Look if I told you ever group and every sort of bad thing that is threating humanity thats huge in and of itself .. Then we have the groups threatening the whole world .. then you have the groups threatening this reality .. and so on .. its a ever growing stress and maddening situation that most can't handle in a natural life time '' Maria is trying to get this clear she is just holding information and such to protect the heroes sanity and physical bodies
