They soon fell asleep through the rest of the night. Fortunately, Howl had placed something under Sophie to catch any accidents she might have, and it worked. After having breakfast and dressing for the day, they made their way into town. Sophie felt butterflies in her stomach, naturally, at the prospect of seeing her mother and Lettie again, even though she knew all would be well. She rang the doorbell.

"Nervous?" Howl asked, placing a comforting hand on Sophie's shoulder. "I am here for you. Just squeeze my hand if you need to." He said, wanting to do anything he could to help.

"Oh there is someone at the door!" A woman's voice said from behind the door, soon being revealed as the door opened. "Sophie! My baby girl has returned!" The woman said, pulling Sophie into a hug and kissing her all over her cheeks. It was revealed that it was Sophie's mom who was both hugging and showering Sophie in kisses.

"Mother, it's so good to see you again," Sophie said, smiling widely and returning the affection. "How have you been? How is Lettie? Anything new to report on your end?" She smiled and followed her mother inside, taking a seat on a cushy chair.

"I have missed you so much. And well things have been well. Your sister is doing good except for one little problem." Sophie's mother said, sitting next to her before smiling some. "What about you? What have you been up to? And who is this with you?" She asked, wondering if this man was some kinda boyfriend or something like that.

"Mother, this is Howl." She explained it all to her, and how he was nothing like his reputation. She then went over to her mother. "I have a little problem that needs to be addressing. I've...I've been wetting the bed again."

"Oh? The same Howl everyone has heard about?" Sophie's mom asked, listening as her daughter explained everything that had happened while she was gone. "You have been through a lot it sounds like. And that is what has been happening with your sister." She said, looking around some. "Did it just start again? Or has it been happening for awhile now?"

"It just started," Sophie said. "And Howl and I are heading out to get some protection." She smiled a little as she was hugged and comforted by her mother. Of course, she felt that her daughter needed her at this moment.

"I see. Well I am glad to see that you have someone to help you during this." Sophie's mom said, smiling as she rubbed at her daughter's back. "I could go with you two if that is ok. I need to do some shopping anyways." She said, having to buy a few things anyways for Lettie.

"I would appreciate that very much." At that moment, Lettie sleepily emerged from her room. She was so out of it, she didn't think anything of walking out, her very soaked diaper visible. "Mommy?"

"Then it is settled!" Sophie's mom said, smiling as she looked over to see Lettie walking into the room. "I am right here sweetie." She said, standing up and walking over to Lettir before picking her up. "Come on lets get you changed." She said, walking off to Lettie's room so she could change her.
