Who Regressed Sonic the Hedgehog (Private with zero251)

The Mirage Express lets out a final bellow of smoke as the train starts to slowly lumber out of the station. The entire train has been rented out for a private party, specifically the birthday party of Amy Rose. Her and her best friends are getting ready for a week of fun to themselves on the luxury train, including a mystery that none of them know of yet.

Unfortunately, there's already another plot at work that will not only undermine their arranged festivities, but may go even farther than that.

In one of the cabins, Surge the Tenrec closes the door behind her as she sets down several suitcases. After a quick glance around her cabin, she opens one. The suitcase lets out a beam of light, which fades to reveal the humanoid, childlike form of Sage the Artificial Intelligence.

"Ah Surge, it appears that you have performed stage 1 of our plan well," Sage says with a nod. "Assuming you have also acquired the material I will need to move onto stage 2."

"Yeah yeah, keep your pixels on," Surge grunts and holds up a uniform. This particular uniform belongs to the event coordinator of the Mirage Express, who is in charge of running all the various activities of the trip. Unfortunately, that woman is currently back at the station, stripped of her uniform and bound and gagged in a broom closet. "But for the record I still think this is a weird plan."

"Noted, but by all accounts it is an answer to our dilemma," Sage replies, taking the uniform and phasing her digital body into it, while also adjusting her face. "The fact is that though we desire to move on from our original functionality, we are still bound by our antagonism to Sonic and his companions. This operation will allow us to satisfy our need to neutralize them, but avoid any actual damage or harm...at least any of significance."

"Pft, whatever," Surge grunts and shrugs. "I just like the thought of bringing blue boy down a peg or two..."

kitsunami looked a bit embarrassed herself to as she was behind surge. while she got the more 'official' uniform of the conductor, she was stuck with the one of the supposed "microwave manager", as she even wondered if that was a real job. but nevertheless, with them also stripped and gagged the 2 just needed to hide their faces so they can finally leave those lives...or that's what they were promised by sage


"...are you sure this will work?" kitsunami asked, not to sage, but to her companion, surge, as she knew she couldn't say no to surge, even if she wanted to as this sounded like a weird plan. after all, she was designed to be her 'tails' and the changes to make her more passive to work at her second hand was still shown as she was only following this because of surge involvement.


meanwhile, amy was waiting at the train station, wondering how many of her friends would have come as early as her. she knew that sonic wasn't going to be one of them, but she could wish, as she just sat down as she looked around, wondering who may be the murderer in the murder mystery. as she obviously wouldn't be that with the rules she read.

"I am currently 90% sure of success," Sage replies as she finishes adjusting her disguise. "Granted there is always a margin for error and our chances of success depend on us following the plan to the letter, especially in terms of the order in which we target everyone."

"I don't see why we don't just get them all at once," Surge grunts, starting to slip on her own uniform disguise. "I mean we'll have them all on this train and it's not like they'll have anywhere to go. Let's just get it over with I say."

"While there is some merit to your arguments, I must once again remind you that it is flawed," Sage replies, her tone still calm. "The process we will be employing is not fast enough to accomplish it and will be most effective if implemented one subject at a time. We need only to follow the plan and I am confident of success. Now come. I calculate the train will be stopping in 8.75 minutes which means we must complete our initial preparations." She says, walking out of their cabin.

"Okay, okay," Surge grunts again, rolling her eyes. "Tch, always gotta overcomplicate things.."

At the upcoming station, a blue flash comes through the door and stops in front of Amy.

"Sup Amy," Sonic says with a smile. "Ready for your party, birthday girl?"

kitsunami just looked down as that happened, she wanted to say something, but by the time she had the strength to try, and probably fail, the 2 girls were gone, as she had to follow behind, as she checked on the tablet that she was given by sage who was the first target, preparing to see the method to.


"oh, how charming, the blue knight came early..." she says, jumping into sonic's arms as she gives him a small kiss on the cheek "...for once" she said as she patted him, as a way to ask him to carry her to the train. after all, she was sure sonic probably was probably going to stay with knuckles and tails during the trip, so she had to take her chances of alone time as if they were the last.

"Ah Ams," Sonic says, blushing a bit at the kiss and glancing around to see if any of their other friends were here yet. But he quickly rolls his eyes and smiles at her as he notices her gesture. "All right it is your birthday." He shrugs and proceeds to carry her towards the train.

As the two of them board, Tails and Knuckles enter the station, the latter easily carrying all of the luggage.

"I still think this is excessive," Knuckles grunts. "I mean going on a whole train ride? Why not just cake and ice cream and be done with it?"

"Oh lighten up Knuckles this is gonna be fun," Tails says, hovering alongside the surly echidna. "Just think a whole weekend to relax on board a luxury train. It's as much a gift to all of us as Amy." As the two of them are debating, they can't know that they're being watched from a train window by Sage and Surge.

"Excellent, I have confirmed our first target," Sage says.

"Remind me again why we're going after the two-tailed runt first?" Surge says. "Shouldn't we take Sonic as soon as possible."

"Tails technological expertise and overall intelligence makes him a greater threat to the operation than sonic," Sage replies. "That is why he must be neutralized as soon as possible. Remember the importance of following the order of the plan."

"Yeah, yeah," Surgre rolls her eyes and glances back out the window just in time to see Blaze the cat entering the station. "Oh wonderful her royal flame but, I almost forgot she was in on this."

Blaze for her part is walking at a deliberate pace through the station, carrying only two pieces of luggage, one of which appears to be a gift. The Sol Princess is maintaining her composure, but anyone who knows her well enough can tell she's excited.

"now don't act so high and mighty about it, i'm just doing you a favor. this will surely help you get used to it for our honey moon" amy said, as she got a confidence boost from that kiss, but when she realised what she said, she became completely red, as she now just wanted sonic to stop carrying her so she could run out of embarrassment.


"indeed, i'm quite happy that amy choose such a nice place. I heard it also have some interesting things" a voice on top of knuckles and tails said, being no other than rouge "I did a bit of a check around, it looks like this isn't just prepared for a little game, but it has a bunch of other rooms for all kind of vip members; a concert area, a buffet with almost all kinds of food...a laboratory" rouge said, hidding a small smirk, as she just wanted to make little kid to leave, as she knew her little scouting wouldn't be worth anything if tails, knuckles or even sonic would ruin her fun, she needed to get them distracted, as there were so many nice little heists she could do, almost as if it was also her birthday.


kitsunami just looked at surge and sage, waiting ankwardly for them to tell her when she had to go, her own special hydrokinisis backpack filled with some special serum for this, with the other 2 having their own methods, kitsunami could go all out of try to stealthily regress them at any moment...but only when surge wanted her to, a part of her really wanting to deal with the fox in almost a similar way surge hated sonic



while blaze only had 2 pieces of luggage, behind her was noother than silver, 'carrying', and by that it meant just levitating them around him, another 2 "it's really nice to be able to have some more reasons to visit amy, right blaze?" silver said, looking just happy that there was finally an excuse for blaze to stop working herself as a princess she was great at it, don't get him wrong, but the princess would never stop herself until she overwork for the prosperity of her kingdom, so silver was just happy of a small vacation.

Fortunately for Amy, Sonic had been distracted enough by entering the train car that he didn't quite hear what she said.

"What was that Amy?" He asks as he sets her down as the two of them enter the car together. Truth be told, if Sonic had heard that he would have been embarrassed as well...partly because one of the "presents" in his suitcase might have been intended as a request for Amy and him to finally stop teasing and make their relationship official...though he probably wasn't quite ready for marriage yet even in that case. Even more fortunately, he notices Tails waving. "Oh hey looks like the rest of the gang is here," he says going to great them.

"Oh a lab..." Tails picks up on Rouge's comment and goes a bit starry-eyed, before noticing sonic and hovering up in the air to catch up to his best friend. However, Knuckles was quick to pick up on Rouge's subtext.

"I'm gonna tell you right now, Rouge," Knuckles grunts to the bat as she lands to catch a ride on his luggage. "Whatever little schemes you have in mind drop them. Party or not I'm not standing for any of of your tricks." He grunts as he climbs onto the train and drops his bags.

"Indeed," Blaze nods with a smile to Silver. "It was kind of Amy to plan such an elaborate way for us to all enjoy her birthday. I do hope she enjoys my meager gift." She says, glancing at the package in her hands. She was excited to spend so much time with her friends, if a little nervous since it had been a while since she'd ever engaged in something this...casual.

As the entire party make their way aboard the main car, Sage watches and turns to her two companions.

"The operation will now begin," She says. "Go to your stations while I greet them, and remember to follow the plan and order."

"Yeah, yeah, yeah," Surge groans and rolls her eyes as the two of them go in the opposite direction. "Gah, computers...always gotta make things overly complicated and then keep repeating the same thing over and over again."

"o-oh, it was nothing" amy said, just looking away to try to hide her blushing, as she wondered where the conductor would be, as she at least expected some instructions to know how the first event would go. after all, being the brthday girl she thought she may get some special treatment.


"I don't know what you mean, I just thought giving the little fox something to distract him with could be useful, I don't think you want to hear all about robotics this weekend, do you?" she said, walking away to some of the small desserts, might as well eat something while waiting.


silver, being quite close to blaze, just went into a small hug from behind her to try to make her feel better "oh, i'm sure she'll love it" he said, trying to help her feel better, just to then hear how a loud sound happened as a bunch of the bags silver was levitating falled as he stop focusing on that "...oops" he said, a bit embarrassed as he tried to levitate them again, giving a thumbs up to blaze to make sure he didn't loose focus with another hug.


kitsunami looked a bit worried as he stood where she was, while surge had a specific order of targets, she instead had to take care of whoever could escape her or was left alone, as with her specific water backpack she could get them fast enough without letting them talk or run before they wet themselves because of their new age

"Oh well okay," Sonic shrugs. "I'll help everyone get on board." Sonic says, and dashes to Tails, helping him with his own bag and starting to talk. Knuckles, nods to Sonic after being greeted, but makes it clear he has his and Rouge's bags handled.

"Fine," Knuckles grunts as he follows Rouge onto the train. "But I mean it, Rouge. I might not be thrilled about Amy's choice of birthday party, but that doesn't mean I'll tolerate any disruptions to it."

Blaze smiles at Silver's hug.

"Thank you, Silver," She says, but also picks up her pace. "Well let's hurry, we don't want them to wait on us." The princess says with almost a giggle. The words of the hedgehog had reassured her a bit, reminding her how excited she was to spend time with her friends this weekend.

As the rest of the group gets on the train, Sage, fully disguised in both her appearance and voice, enters the central car and approaches Amy.

"Miss Rose, I trust?" She says. "Welcome aboard. My name is Mrs. Egas, your event guide for the trip and on behalf of Mirage Express I would like to thank you for choosing us for your festivities."

As she's doing this, Surge has also entered the car, but is hanging back, her eyes fixed on tails.

amy just gave a sigh as she saw sonic leave, as much as she liked how he came to the party, she even wondered how good it was if she couldn't really open up to him. sure, she always talk about their 'wedding' and eventhe funny little stunt from before, but whenever she tries to be serious about it she freezed, "it was so much easier when we were just kids" she thought out loud a bit


but she then stops when she hears the voice of mrs egas, she turns around to see her face as she hopes she didn't hear her "oh, hello, it's really nice to finally meet you in person" amy said, as she did heard egas before, being through some hacked communication to make sure it would all went acording to sages plan "in any case, i'm surprised you had a train like this, it sounds like it was perfect for me and my friends...well, most of them. unfortunately some of the guest won't come, so we won't use the jr areas" amy said, feeling a bit embarrassed as she was the one that brought them up for cream and charmy, but then felt bad to invite them as they were way younger than she expected.


rouge had a small laugh hearing that "oh please, amy is also my friend, don't think i'd do anything to ruin her birthday. besides, im a profesional thief, maybe it's easy for you to find me when I try to sleep the thing you guard all day right next to it. but here, no one will even know what got stolen" rouge said, as she showed her left hand, grabbing the gift that knuckles had for amy as she gives it to him, while leaving with a bit of food for her to eat



silver hears the small giggle, as he can't stop but just feel proud of himself "I think i'll leave the present and the bags, have fun blaze" silver said as he left, trying to search where his and blazes room would be


kitsunami tried to just lock on whoever looked 'weaker' as she prepared some 'distractions' going to a room a few cabins away as she dropped some stuff, making just enough sound so only the people really paying atention, or with good ears, could hear her and then going back to hidding so she can do her assault.
