A Replacement Child

The year is 2073 and the amount of teens who are wards of the state and private orphanages has skyrocketed in the past few years. In an attempt to try and purge their numbers and make a little money on the side a unique solution was created: make the teens like babies and charge 'adoption fees'. Soon juvenile detention facilities were doing the same thing.

One of the couples that were about to adopt one of these children were the Steeles, Mary and Jack had lost their only child, William to a freak accident almost a year ago and they had decided to try and get a new son to fill the gap left by William

Danny was the poor boy chosen , a red head with a fiery temper when riled up. He was strapped into a crib , propped up on a pillow he wore a blue tee and on full display was his light blue diaper , a little wet. He was a little out of it from the sedatives they had been feeding him. His arms and legs were cuffed and bolted to the side and his mouth currently filled by a blue pacifier , held there by a gag reaching around the back of his head , keeping it in place. He lazily looked around with his flint grey eyes. In jail for rioting and public disorder , sentenced for 25 years , he was only 14 , but harsher sentences had been on the up for a while now and it looked like someone was solving the problem which was good enough for some.

A nurse was showing the couple the differant children that they could adopt. Mary stopped her when they reached Danny, "T tell me about this one here." Mary wiped a tear away from her full Doreen eyes

"Let's see." The nurse tapped on a tablet, "Danny is about 14 and has been with us for a little bit."

"Jack, he looks just like." Mary started to cry a bit

"I know dear." Jackson hugged his wife, "we will take him."

The nurse smiled, "excellent, just wait in reception and he'll be out shortly"

Danny was soon changed into a thicker diaper , and packed up into a carry case , really a oversized travel holder with anti gravity tech to make it lighter for those carrying it. Danny was wrapped up rightly in a blue blanket with a teddy bare in with him. The forms were signed and he was handed over to them , there would be a few hours before he would be fully awake and aware of his surroundings.

Mary smiled and set the carrier on the ground of their anti grav SUV, "He is so cute, don't you agree dear?"

"Yes dear, I know he looks cute. The staff are already aware that he is coming."

Mary giggled and got into the passenger seat before the SUV starts to float towards the richer part of town

Danny mumbled and moved a little in his sleep , or as much as he could being bound into his seat. The gentle rocking put him at ease , the training he had been receiving at the centre not having been completely wasted on him.

Mary smiled and tickled Danny's feet a bit, "hey baby. You are gonna like your new home and your new friends!" She smiled and started to tear up a bit.

"Honey, calm down please." Jackson smiled

Danny mumbled and opened his eye , it was a bit of a effort and he mumbled something before going back to sleep as his body broke down the chemicals inside him , slowly waking him up as he was driven on towards his new home.

Mary giggled happily as they arrived at their gated community: Grovely Estates. The car hovered along the road until they came to a large three story mansion that was painted white, "here we are Danny, your new home!"

Jackson nodded as he parked the car in the driveway and deactivated the anti grav spheres

Danny was waking up now , and looking around , panicking since he was somewhere else but couldn't do anything other than moan though the gag and move a little bit due to the restraints.
