That's odd. I haven't installed any third party add-ons since Firefox Quantum was released. Before that, I used to install third party add-ons like
DownThemAll! but since DownThemAll! isn't supported in Firefox Quantum (The new version of Mozilla's browser), I just use the standard add-ons that are included with any fresh install of Firefox Quantum. I saw your reply message to my previously sent test PM and can see that you are not experiencing the problem (Your reply PM quoted my original message). Thank You for investigating the situation.
Well, for those peeps out there that are also experiencing this problem, there is a work-around that you can perform which will mimic the functionality that is probably coded in the click() method of that "Reply" button in the PM system:
1) Open the PM to which you want to reply and position your mouse cursor at the beginning of the message text.
2) Hold down your [left] mouse button, drag the mouse downwards and highlight all of the message text.
3) Within the text highlighted, click on the right mouse button. A shortcut menu will appear.
4) In the shortcut menu, click on "
Copy" to copy all of the highlighted text into the Windows Clipboard.
5) Click on the "Reply" button in the PM to start your reply message.
6) In the empty Message editbox (Assuming that you are experiencing the problem described in this thread), type the QUOTE
tags (Note - Do not type the quotation marks in this example. They are just present to prevent the tags from being acted upon by the system): '['quote']''['/quote']'
7) In the first QUOTE tag, type the equal sign and the original PM sender's username. For example: [quote=Tammy_the_Test_User].
8) Position your mouse cursor in between the QUOTE tags and click on the right mouse button. A shortcut menu will appear.
9) Click on "
Paste" to copy all of the message text that was previously saved into the Windows Clipboard, directly in between the quote tags.
Afterwards, you can write your reply message with the original sender's quoted message included, preview and then send it.
Here's a bonus for all you fellow "
Rick and Morty" fans:
