[Diapee Girl]

Michelle didn't know what to do exactly at this point. All of the sudden, the little redhead was now sobbing into her chest! Obviously, the older girl was never quite the 'comforting' type before. Still, she couldn't bare seeing Brooke in tears; and her onesie was already starting to feel a little damp under her playmate's face. So, she thought on it. What would her Mommy do?...

The brunette, after another few moments, leaned her head up and gently kissed the top of Brooke's head before snuggling her closer and beginning to gently run her fingers through her maroon hair. "It's otay Bwookie..." She assured warmly, trying to sound as loving and comforting as she could. "Don' cwy....I'm wight here..."

Having a kiss planted on her head and having her hair gently stroked calmed the girl down a considerable amount. Her tears eventually faded, no longer staining the older girl's onesie. After being reduced to simple sniffles, the girl finally sat up and rubbed her runny nose with her arm. "Fank you... I'm just... so happy wight now..." Brooke replied, saying this with a smile even with the weird outpouring of emotion.

Ending their hug so her cuddle-buddy could sit up, Shelly lifted herself up as well. "It's otay." She replied again, giving Brooke a warm smile. "I undastwand." If anything, she was incredibly flattered at how much this girl seemed to like her. It was nice finally having someone to open up to...

As a matter of fact, even though the two had opened themselves up to share so many emotions, she actually knew very little about the adorable little maroon-haired girl sitting in front of her.
"Well, if we gonna be fwiends, we should wearn about eachother." Shelly babytalked. "So...um...What's your favowite cowor?" The brunette asked, wanting to start somewhere.

The girl's eyes finally dried, and eventually the sniffles were gone, as well. This just left the girl smiling softly and looking into the eyes of her first genuine friend. Not just in here, but anywhere else.

Hearing Michelle ask the first question, Brooke pondered for a moment. Soon, she answered with an emphatic "pink!".
Then she followed up:
"It's a nice cowor...mommy finks I wook coot in pink... so dat's da bestest fow me... and der's dese big birdies dat awe pink and de're supah pwetty!"

Shelly smiled to herself a little. Did she really expect anything different? The tomboy honestly would have been suprised if it was something other than pink!
"Weally? Dat sounds silly..." She giggled, trying to imagine a giant, pink bird. "Yeah, I guess pink is pwetty cute..." She added, looking down at her own pastel-pink onesie. She had certainly gotten a good taste for the color ever since she was admitted to this institution. Most of her baby items were pink in some way. Michelle hated the color at first, but it had really grown on her. Shelly had to admit, she loved the way it looked on her. Still, she still had a fondness for her favorite color before she was admitted here. "Mine is...green. Good, now, oo ask me sometin'." The slightly older girl offered.

"Oh, weawwy! I wike gween, too... but I wike pink jus' a widdle bit mowe..." Brooke replied, honestly surprised by the girl's answer. She just figured that since she was a girl wearing pink, her favorite color was pink.
"Ums... what's youw fave'wit food?"

Shelly didn't have to think long for this one. "Ooh! Stwawbewwys!" She replied enthusiastically. She was about to say 'breastmilk' at first, but was still a little shy about admitting her love for the drink. Still, she figured Brooke had meant solid food anyway. "I wove how dey taste. Anything dat tastes wike a stwawbewwy is yummy to me. What about oo?" She asked.

"Oh, stwawbewwies awe yummy..." Brooke smiled. Apparently, she was so content with the girl's speaking and so happy that the big girl tone she had spoken to her before had entirely faded. Chances are that because Michelle talked much like a toddler, her own "normal" pattern of speaking wouldn't return soon, unless under very certain circumstances.

"Hm... I wike mommy miwky... appwe juice... appwesauce... macawoni... hm..." The girl tried to think, resting her index finger on her chin and puffing out her lips as she thought long and hard about the question. Figuring she wouldn't think of anything else, she focused back on Michelle:
"...can't fink of anyfing ewse. Oh, I gotta good one! What's da bestest pawt about being hewe fow you?"

The babyfied brunette giggled at both Brooke's adorable mannerisms, as well as the fact that they shared so many favorite things! What else did they have in common?
A little unprepared for this question, Shelly sat back for a bit and unconsciously looked Aorunf the nursery. She had decided that she loved it here, but what exactly did she like the most? Her diapers and baby clothes were comfy; the facility was nice and well taken-care of...

"I gwess it's just...just dat I finawwy feew safe hewe...I finawwy feew woved hewe..." She admitted with another soft blush.

Brooked beamed at the response. She could sense that much had changed about the girl over the last few days. A girl she was a unsure and a little scared of (like many others before her) had turned into her only friend. They were cut from the same cloth. "Hehe! Aw... Shewwy's bwushy... but I know whatchu mean... I feel da same way... I've got wots of people hewe dat I weawwy wike... I wove my mommy... I wike Ms. Patwicia... I wike Ms. Marfa... and I weawwy wike you, Shewwy." Upon admitting that again, the girl suddenly crawled up to Michelle and eased her lips against her cheek. After planting a small, audible baby kiss, Brooke went back and giddily wiggled with a crinkle while still beaming toward Michelle.
