As the setting sun was turning the autumn sky a rich shade of pink, a young woman, looking maybe in her mid-twenties, walked up to the door of her apartment. Brushing a strand of her auburn brown hair out of her face, she proceeded to rub her somewhat sleepy eyes with one hand and fish for her keys in her purse with the other. She definitely wasn't too happy whenever Patricia needed her to work late, but sometimes it couldn't really be helped. The last thing she wanted to do was get that woman cross with her, even after how long they knew each other.

"I'm hoooooome!" Michelle Jordan called in as she opened the door, hanging up her jacket in the closet by the entrance. Her 'roommate' should be home by now...The woman had seen her car outside. Seeing her was always the highlight of her day.

Maybe she was napping, or really lost in her train of thought doing something. She had really grown fond to video games over the last few years, so maybe her undivided attention was on that until Michelle got back home. But there weren't any sounds of analog sticks moving and a voice being cutely frustrated. What was up?
