And I can't ask friends I haven't even known a year for something this big! It's not fair to them. I get by well enough.... till all this crap started recently."

Rainbow Dash stared at Scootaloo, shocked. "You've been on your own for six years?" She looked at the filly, unsure how to react other than shock. "What crap do you mean? Explain it to me squirt, everything." her expression turned determined.

She had only really gotten to know her fan recently yet despite putting more interest into her since the camping trip she had never realised anything like this about Scootaloo and it turned out to be so important. Now she wanted to know everything.

Scootaloo nodded, "It's been a rough past few days. Ever since the camping trip I kept having nightmares and I'd wake up, unable to go back to sleep. Then after a few weeks, the nightmares started well, what you saw with the cloud. And now the nightmares are pretty much gone but I'm stuck with the stupid accidents! And then the doctor said it might even spread to while I was awake. And it was an expensive doctor's visit which pretty much used the last of my bits. I was just gonna go back to the tree house but it got hit by lightning and burned down pretty much." Scootaloo was trying to hold back her tears again, reliving all of this was quite painful.

Seeing how close to crying the filly was Rainbow Dash pulled her in. "It'll be okay squirt, don't worry." She made a point to talk to Applejack about not noticing a filly living in her own orchard and that next time the Crusaders have a tree house to get Twilight to do whatever stopped her house-tree from being a lightning rod. "Its okay, I'm here now."

Scootaloo started to cry once more, but it wasn't an all out sob-fest, it was more of a small quiet crying similar to that of a foal being comforted after something scary had happened. She didn't want to let go of Rainbow Dash, it felt nice, almost like having a mother again, which brought a slight smile to the filly's face as she continued to hold onto the cyan pony.

Rainbow Dash wasn't that used to comforting upset ponies but she did her best with Scootaloo. When the filly started to hold onto her tighter and stopped crying she assumed she had done something right. She decided to do something nice for Rarity and Applejack, since most of what she knew to do was based on watching them looking after their sisters.

She stroked the filly's mane. "I promise, it'll be okay. You need somewhere to stay? I got a big place just for myself, think you could do me a favour and fill some of it?"

"You mean s-stay here? With you?" Scootaloo asked, astounded that she was even considered for something like this. "Are you sure? I mean it is your house, I don't want to intrude...." Scootaloo was trying to be a polite as she could, trying not to mess what could potentially be the best thing ever in her life. A safe place to stay, probably decent food, not to mention it was Rainbow Dash's house. This was more than she could ever ask for.

"Intrude?" Rainbow scoffed. "Kid you couldn't intrude if you tried. Stop fighting it and agree so we can go find your scooter." After that, of course, Rainbow Dash intended to find out which doctor Scootaloo had gone to and what the filly would need. She had an idea for what she would need to sleep without ruining every bed she used.

Scootaloo hugged Rainbow Dash tightly and nodded her head. "Oh thank you so much Rainbow Dash!" Scootaloo needed this dose of happiness after these past few weeks, and especially after yesterday. "And my scooter is probably gone, it was in the tree house when it went up in flames, only reason I had my pillow and blanket is because I had just taken it out of the closet and put my scooter up." She admitted, as much as she loved that scooter, it probably didn't survive the fire, being made mostly out of wood.

"Hey, don't worry. I'm sure we can find you another one. Think of it as 'welcome home' present, heh?" Rainbow Dash hugged her again. "Now, was it Doctor Stable you talked to?"
