Delilah quickly turned to face the unfamiliar voice. She looked a bit groggy, having just woken up a few minutes ago... She always did remain tired for at least an hour after she awoke. "...uh-huh..." She replied with a little yawn. "...who are you..? Where are we..?" She leaned over onto her sister, wishing she could fall asleep again... Once she was up, she was up. There was no falling back to sleep.

Cardiac chuckled a bit as he entered the room. "We're the ones who brought you here, little Delilah." He said. His voice was calm, and beautiful. Delilah looked a bit surprised that he knew her name. "My name is Cardiac... This is my mate, Tabetha. We are your guardian angels..." He smiled as he walked over to the crib. "And from this moment on, we are your new caretakers..." He smiled down at the two. "From the day we were commanded to look over you, one year ago, we have known you have always wanted to start your lives over... We would like to give you that chance."

Sam put her arm around her sister, still a little nervous of her situation. The last thing she really wanted to do was sleep. She had so many question to ask, but she wasn't so sure they could trust them... Still.. First and foremost. "To.. Start over...?" she asked. She almost thought that this must be a dream.. although it couldn't be..

Tabetha smiled and walked a little closer until she stood in front of the crib, her hand connected to her mate's. "Of course, little Samantha! From this moment on, we are your new... parents, caretakers." she said. "We'll watch over you and fill your lives with happiness. No more streets and dark alleys." she continued in a sweet voice.

Cardiac smiled, and nodded slowly. "That's right..." He said in a gentle tone of voice. "We have been waiting for just the right time to take you in... That time came last night... You two were almost about to die in that alley." He frowned for a moment... In his eyes, you could see deep sorrow, if only for a split second. His face quickly reverted back to a smile. "But we made sure you didn't..."

Delilah rubbed her eyes a bit. She was just barely making out the words that these two were speaking... "So... you pretty much cured us..." She said groggily. "...but... why are we in nothing but diapers? They're kinda comfy, but..." She yawned, and wiped the rest of the sleep out of her eyes.

Tabetha held her mate's hand and explained. "You two get to start over, from the beginning." she stated in a sweet voice to both the girls and continued. "That means back to diapers!" she said, and smiled at the two.

Sam wasn't sure what to think. On the one hand, these were pretty comfortable.. but on the other hand.. she hadn't gone in her underpants since she was 2 years old!! "S-so we're.... going to be treated like.. babies?" she asked in a curious yet nervous tone. To be honest.. It was a lot better than staying on the street.

Cardiac nodded with a pleasant chuckle. "That's right... You're going to be raised from scratch with us as your parents this time." He said, his voice calm. "But of course, if you wish to live a normal life and start where you left off, that can also be arranged." He nodded.

Delilah looked over at her sister. "...What do you think, Sam?" She asked... She thought it was a good deal, but she wanted Samantha's opinion first. She always wanted her sister's opinion before going through with something.

Sam pondered this for about less than 10 seconds. She shivered at the thought of resuming their current life... "O-okay. Deal!" she said, rather quickly.

Tabetha smiled at the two. "If this is what you want, then from this point on, we will be your new parents." she stated. Sam seemed almost excited about the change. Yes.. They'd be treated like babies.. but at least they'd have a place to live.. And most of all - parents that actually care..

Delilah smiled, and hugged her sister. She was probably more excited than her... No more cold streets, no more living in a cardboard box, no more starvation... She had a good feeling about the way the rest of their lives would be going about now...

Cardiac smiled, and patted the heads of the two girls. "I can see you're both very excited about this... why don't we get you both dressed?" He smiled. "And then we can show you around your new home."

Sam smiled, giving her sister a quick hug back. She nodded at Cardiac.. She wasn't really too cold seeing as the room was at the perfect temperature... but she would like to be clothed.. It was kind of embarrassing...

Delilah nodded as well as she released her sister. She smiled, giggling a bit. She hadn't been this excited in years!

Cardiac smiled, reached into the crib, and lifted Samantha into his arms. "Well then, let's go pick something out for you to wear!" He said as he brought her over to the dresser. Holding her in one arm, he pulled out one of the drawers of the dresser. "What would you like to wear today, hm?"

Samantha looked through the selection until she found a cute dress! She never got to wear them while her and her sister were living on the street. She pointed at the pink party dress. "That! Can I wear that?" she asked.

Tabetha smiled, also lifting Delilah out of the crib and carrying her to one of the other dressers and pulled out one of the drawers. "So what would you like to wear then, little Delilah?" She asked, and tickled her tummy a little bit with her free hand.
