A Second Opinion (Private for livingbylies)
Dr. Bradock was standing in the hall of St. Anthony Institute, waiting patiently. The nurse at the reception already had a blank file opened on her computer, and 2 other nurses, taller and tougher ones, waited beside the Doctor.
It was pretty damn obvious: A new patient was coming, and what he read from the file CPS sent over, she might prove troublesome.
A room was already prepared for her in the high security wing, along with clothes of her size, and other... well, "accessories" a mental ward would have.
But, she deserved one chance, to cooperate. One.
That's why Dr. Bradock himself was down there, waiting for the car to arrive. He wanted to see for himself. How she looks like, how she behaves, how she feels. First meeting is always the most important part of doctor-patient relationships, and if he wanted to establish a good second opinion - in case the first psychiatrist examining her rushed the diagnosis - he needed to thoroughly observe her.
He wore his usual white coat, but this time, not a single pen on the pocket, not even his name tag on the chest pocket, no sharp or pointy things to grab. He even considered taking his wristwatch off, but in the end, considered that overcautious.
After all, she 's just a 10-year-old. How bad could it be?
