(I thought she just plays insane, and acting as an animal was just fake.)

He looks at the doctor with sad eyes.
“Please.”, he said with whiny voice.
“I am sorry, now come with me, Alexander.” he said. “Or would you prefer to stay here?”
“No.” Only one word was his whole answer, but it sounded terribly sad. He needed help getting up, but the doctor pulled him up by grabbing some of the buckles of the straitjacket.
“Good, boy, and now say hello to Noraa.” said the doctor.
“Hello.” This time it sounded monotone and unhappy rather than sad.

(Noraa acts insane whenever a doctor is present in the immediate area. You'd need to watch security footage of her cell when there are no doctors to see her acting normal.)
Noraa merely mewled nervously, as she dutifully followed the doctor, her tail straying a little too close to the cell of a humanoid Scorpion, who actually grabbed her tail. She let out a loud yowl and shot onto Doctor Rodman's back, hanging on by her claws, while shaking like a leaf.

(Okay, will she show Alex that she isn’t insane?)

The doctor looked to the scorpion.
“Charlie! Please behave!” he said with an angry tone to it.
“Sorry, Doc.” mumbled it.
Then they finally arrived at the cell again.
“So, kids. I will leave you alone for the next two hours, so you can get to know each other. Please behave well!” he said in a strict tone.
“Alex?”
“Yeah... I will behave!” he answered monotone.
“And what is with Xander?” Rodman added.
“Who is Xander?” Alex asked.
That was enough of an answer for Rodman.
“Bye, Noraa, don’t be scare. At least Alex is quite a good boy. Bye kids.” he said and waved as he left the room.

(Noraa is normal with no doctors around, so, yes, she will show Alex that she is normal, but that doesn't mean that her mother didn't leave some damage to her,mostly a childish lisp)
Noraa waited until Doctor rodman had left the area, then she turned to Alex. "Sow, wha they bwing you hewe fow?" She asked, in perfect, well, near perfect english. It turns out that Noraa only acted insane to stay at the facility, mostly to get away from her les than enjoyable family.

The boy starred at her with open mouth.
“Haven’t you been insane just a moment ago?” he asked, but then answered her questions: “I don’t know, they say that I did some bad stuff, but it always was guy named Xander, don’t know who that is and now they did lock me up here.”
He tried to find a comfortable position, but it wasn’t easy while wearing a straight jacket.
“That thing sucks!” he stated.

Noraa shrugged, and waddled over to Alex. "Dat whowle insanity act, dat's onwy so dey don't send me bawck home. I weawly don't wanna go bawck to dat pwace." She said as she sat down in front of Alex. She then started grooming her tail, via tongue bath, the one quirk that carried over from her insanity act.

He looked at her with disbelief.
“No home? I would give everything for going home!” he said.
“I bet my mom is very sad. What about your mom? She must be sad, too!”

Noraa looked at Alex like he had grown a second head. "Wha awe you, cwazy?! My mom neber stowpped tweating me wike a baby. I may wook wike one, but dat doesn't meawn I wanna act wike one. And my dad is abusibe, he'd beawt me ebery time i wet myselb, or messed myselb. My famiwy was cwaziewr dan most peopwle in dis pwace." She said as her tail went stiff as a pole.

Alex felt quite uncomfortable under her look.
“Don’t stare at me like this!” he said.
As he heard her question about his mental state, he answered: “Well, I am in a madhouse, wearing a straitjacket and a diaper... is that an answer for you? You may like it here, but I don’t! I want out of here and back home!”

Noraa shook her head. "Wewll, I douwbt dat's gonna happen anytiwme soown. So youw miwght as wewll get comfowtable." She said as she started to wet her diaper, the front of it turning yellow.
