The Secrets of the Lamp (Private)

The night was warm and sticky, very few people had been around that day, staying inside to keep the heat from getting to them. From the few people walking around the city, there was two men, arguing over a piece of gold. As the fight continued to go on, a thief popped in secretly and took a golden lamp from one of the men's bag. As he walked down the street, one of the men had noticed the lamp was gone. He ran after the thief and ripped it from him, alerting police to come to the scene. The lamp was taken and brought to the palace with the thief for further punishment.


Princess Jasmine emerged from the gardens, having spent the day with her tiger Rajah. She loved just spending time with him, being able to tell him anything. As she began to walk up to her room, she spotted something at the door. Being the curious one she walked over and picked it up, admiring the beauty of the details and the intricate designs. Since no one had claimed it, Jasmine had decided to bring it to her room to put on her dressing table. She made her way through the winding halls until she came to her room, setting the golden lamp on the table and sat down, pulling her hair from the long pony tail and began to brush it. The lamp on her table intrigued her enoughx having heard an old legend that if you run one, a genie will come. She put her brush down and picked the lamp up, rubbing it gently.

As the lamp was rubbed, being centuries since it had been, it began to shake and a blue smoke emitted from the mouth of the lamp and surrounded the bed. A few moments later a floating 6 foot large figure emerged. It had an upper body of a regular human, but the lower half was a floating see through blue tail. The blue thing had a black pony tail, golden bracelets that looked like shackles, and an orange sash like belt at his waist.

"Ahhhhhhhhhhh it's been sooooooooooooo long" the creature moaned then rubbed his eyes as he noticed the female in the large room. "Hmm large, nice, must be royalty" he says looking around the room.

As the lamp began to shake, Jasmine tossed it away from her quickly, unsure of what was happening. As what appeared to be a man emitted from the mouth of the lamp, she quickly moved back again. "W-Who or What are you?" She stuttered out, looking at him with widened eyes.

"I'm a genie, and assuming you don't know what that is, it means I can grant magical wishes" he explains quickly and floats down to the edge of her large bed. "Now I've had many masters before who got to the point, so master, do you want your wishes now? Or may I explain myself to you?" he asks.

"I thought genies were just..um, imaginary.." She said looking at him in shock. "Well..Um, explain yourself.." She said, sitting on her chair to her dressing table, watching him.

"No, we're just......rare. Not many people talk about us, nor can prove us when they claim we exist. Now like I said I grant wishes but you only get three. You're the first female master I've had so I'll be nice and give you one freebie, which means you technically get four. I can't grant more wishes, I can't kill, revive, nor cause someone to fall in love with another. Now some genies are devious and if their master wishes for riches, they might give them money and the master ends up a thief with all the gold from the sultan" he explains. "However I am one of the few good genies and will not do such a thing. The trick with evil genies is to get the master to wish their three wishes quickly so they can leave. I enjoy being out with my master, and don't mind the time we will spend together. It's been a long time since I've been out anyway. But none the less, if you have any questions or concerns about a wish just let me know and we'll work things out for the best" he explains as he poofs away and ends up in the mirror being silly.

"Oh and one more thing, I'm kinda trapped in my lamp, so once your wishes are up, I'll return to the lamp waiting for someone else to rub it. Now from what I can see in here you must be the princess? Or a queen?" he guesses.

"Wow..That's really cool..I'm sorry you were trapped for so long. I'm glad I found you though." She smiled gently and got up from her chair. "Princess. Please, don't call me Master, just Jasmine.." She said and went to her closet. "Since I'll be spending alot of time with you, I should know your name.." She said, turning her head to look at him.

He popped out of the window and floated over. "Okay Jasmine...pretty name by the way. My name is well Genie, unless you wish to give me a name" he explains while staying by the mirror, feeling no need to stay close to Jasmine at the moment.
