(So far we've got a new rp ready to go with a few different sections in mind. One with the competing rivalry aspect. One with a daycare aspect. And one with a Tails taking his new charges home to enact some new rules. Any sections after that will most likely be made up as we go along but for now, we've got a solid foundation and who could ask for more?)

It was a bright and early morning at Tails' workshop. The fox boy was yawning and stretching his limbs out as he laid back in the bed. He took off the blue night cap he wore with the bright yellow stars on it while smacking his lips and trying to see through the hazy, teary eyes associated with the not so morning bliss.

Putting his feet down the side of the bed, he stood up and looked around. He was only in a t-shirt with a picture of a telescope pointed at the moon on it, a pair of tighty whities with a blue elastic and some pictures of rockets, and on his feet, were little socks. As a nerd he of course wore his socks to bed. The reason he was looking around though was of a matter of discomfort.

Usually his alarm would have woken him up correctly but he didn't seem to see it. It wasn't until he spotted it on the floor did he reach down and pick it up and set it back onto the night stand. With a raised eyebrow he also noticed a small mud print on the floor as well.

"... Sonic..." Tails grimmaced. Something told him that Sonic had horsed around in his room and knocked the clock over. But why? Was he preparing for something?

Tails walked out of his room only to immediately spot Sonic doing some stretches in the hallway.

"Uh... what are you doing?" Tails asked. His shirt was pretty long so it covered his underwear just fine preventing any embarrassment of being seen wearing them.

"Hey Tails! Sorry if I woke you up! I'm just getting ready for a bout with that knucklehead today. I wanted to see how fast I could retreat into a room if the bout ended up in the house and I think I might have knocked something over." Sonic said.

"Yeah, that was my alarm clock. Look Sonic, you've been going at it with knuckles a lot more often then you used to recently. It's honestly starting to get a little annoying how much more consistent it's been." Tails said.

"Don't worry. We won't be in your way." Sonic said as he stood in his jeans shorts and white t-shirt with SPEED written on it. He was certain he could make this work without annoying the fox boy but...

Knuckles had woken up early this day, pumped and ready from the get go because he had his heart and mind set on beating his speedy blue rival in a competition. His motivation to win was to earn more bragging rights and a chance to humiliate Sonic after beating him, a prize that he even had dreams about as he slept through the night.

First off the echidna got out of bed and pulled a ready pair of beige cargo pants on over his green boxers which were printed with images of variously colored chaos emeralds, then came his shirt that was dark blue with a print of boxing gloves on the front. He didn't even contemplate taking a shower and just grabbed an apple from the fridge for his breakfast before stepping into his shoes and then walked out his front door, a pep in his step as he started off heading for Sonic and Tails's place. "Oh I hope you're ready, Sonic." He chuckled to himself "You're gonna get beaten so bad today your head will spin"

"What's the competition for today?" Tails took some milk out of the fridge and drank from the carton. He seemed like the kind of person who would chastize Sonic for doing that but who was he kidding? He was the only one who drank the milk in this place anyway.

"I dunno. Knux mentioned something about trees. I had an idea about simulating a boxing match." Sonic said as he jogged in place in the kitchen. "That idiot is gonna taste pavement either way."

"I wonder what the score between you two is... pretty sure one of you is way ahead in the winning column... can't remember which one though." Tails petered off a bit. Could you tell how much he didn't care? It was honestly a little annoying to Sonic.

"Alright your highness. I can see that we hold you up whenever we do this. I'll finish this EXTRA quick today then." Sonic said as he headed for the door.

Tails sighed and went to go put on some pants. Much as he would like to leave Sonic be, he lived in this neck of the woods and had to watch over it...

Once Sonic would exit the building the hedgehog would feel something thump right off the top of his head, followed by the sound of a familiar snickering coming from up above the door way. That snickering came from Knuckles who was hanging half way off the roof, the echidna having just dropped what was the core of his recently eaten apple on the hedgehog's head. "Heh, you should really be more vigilant, Sonic." He began to tease "Looks like you're losing edge. That could have been Eggman dropping a bomb on you"

Sonic rubbed his head and looked up, spotting Knuckles and instantly getting irritated. That didn't take long at all. Still, he couldn't help but indulge the echidna in a bit of verbal abuse.

"Ha. Egghead doesn't wish to be as simple-minded as you though. I assume the encore you have in mind to that brilliant move is to fall off the roof and then surrender before me like a big red baby?" Sonic smiled, tapping his foot with his hands at his sides. He couldn't wait to beat in Knuckles' ass today.

Tails stood by the doorway. He couldn't wait for one of them to get their ass handed to them so the rest of the day could go by smoothly.

Knuckles' smug little smirk faded fast after hearing the remark from Sonic and his expression snapped into serious mode bordering anger in a moment that was quick as lightning "Oh bite me, Sonic!" He growled and flipped down from the roof, landing in front of his rival. "You're the one who's going to be sniveling and curled up by the end of this!" The red mobian taunted, poking Sonic harshly in the chest with his hackles raised.

Sonic winced and groaned a bit. He often didn't like it when Knuckles got so touchy feely. Sonic lightly slapped Knuckles' hand away. "Yeah right. Whatever Knucklehead. Just call the competition for today and we'll do it. Or should I call it? Either way, you're gonna go home crying."

Tails yawned. He was really having a hard time remembering which one of them was ahead.

"Real big talk for someone who's losing" Snorted the echidna as he reached into his pocket and produced a digital stop watch from it, presenting it to the other standing in front of him. "Today we see how many trees we can take down in the time span of one minute." Knuckles informed, cutting the crap to get right down to it. "And I'm going first"

Tails smiled. Ah. Yes that's right. Knuckles was the one who was ahead.

Sonic just made an angered face. It was quite the opposite expression from the one he wore when he just got up. Perhaps that's just the effect Knuckles had on him. It wasn't a pleasant one at all.

"If that's all we're doing then I'm disappointed. Then again, that headspace isn't for brain matter. Probably took you a week to come up with this." Sonic said with a forced sigh. "Sure. Go first."

"Keep talking shit, Sonic. You're just going to make the humiliation after your defeat a thousand times worse" Knuckles growled, holding himself back from just straight up attacking the hedgehog.

He then spotted Tails in the window and yelled out to the fox while waving the stop watch at him "Hey Tails! Get out here and be the moderator! Chaos knows I can't trust Sonic to keep the time legit on this thing."
