"Hey, hey. Calm down and enjoy the ride." He said.

"Sorry. We can't allow them to see the entrance to the base. It'd be better to say, enjoy the nap." The second one said whacking them both across their heads. Tails' head swung back a bit before his eyes rolled up and he fell unconscious into Joey's stomach.

"L-Let me go! P-Please! Let me go!" Tails shouted in fear. It was hitting Joey's ears and shaking him from his slumber.

"Mmnnn...huh? Tails?" Joey's eyes slowly opened and he lifted his head groggily before his eyes snapped open, realizing tails was screaming for help. "T-Tails!? TAILS!!"

Joey couldn't move though. His body was strapped to a chair. The room they were in had the ground literally littered with severed heads!

Tails was being strapped to a table by the henchmen nearby.

"Haha. All too easy. I should totally get a cat and spin around to meet you in a recliner but... oh well. It just came to me now so I suppose asking you to wait a bit longer while I go get that stuff would be kinda stupid. I'll just tell you my name." The man spoke and stepped from the shadows. "It's Greed. How's it hangin'?"

"H-Holy Shhhh..." he trailed off as he stared at all of the heads on the floor before looking back up to Tails and then to Greed.

"Tails!" Joey struggled against the restraints, but once more found he couldn't muster the strength to even struggle effectively. "W-What are you doing to him!?"

"He's gonna be our guinea pig. Just watch. You're not alone as a hostage buddy. Take a good look at that girl struggling in the seat next to you." Greed said and pointed beside him with his thumb.

The girl in question was indeed there, struggling and with tape covering her mouth. She had tears flowing down her face as well.

"We had to tape her mouth shut because she wouldn't stop screaming, just like all the other douche bags whose heads we made roll..." Greed sighed as if annoyed more than anything.

Joey's eyes widened before glaring death at Greed. "YOU BASTARD! DON'T YOU TOUCH EITHER OF THEM!" He began to pull tight against the restraints, thrashing about in the chair. Unfortunately that didn't do the roo any favors as he froze and began to cough violently. When he lifted his head up, he had a trickle of blood on the side of his mouth.

"You look rather sick? Something happen? Oh yeah! That's right. The boss used you to extract the first batch of energy. Well, I'm happy to say that you don't have to worry about that any longer." Greed smiled and pulled out a syringe filled with green liquid.

Tails saw him come closer with it and watched him prick his stomach with it.

"Watch as it injects into his system. You'll love this." Greed smirked.
