Specialised Adjustments to Bad Attitudes

Alison showed up to the party about an hour late. It was almost a custom for her at this point: never showing up when anyone expected, never apologising, and never bringing her own booze.

She was dressed about the same as she always was: heavy black combat boots on her feet, along with intentionally shredded black leggings and a gauzy black skirt. A tight-fitting black t-shirt reading 'Bad Religion: The Empire Strikes First" covered her torso...barely. With her face in the state it was, she couldn't walk through a security checkpoint anywhere in the world: 1/2" gauges and multiple rings in both ears, snakebites below her lips, a stud in the right side of her nose and a barbell through her left eyebrow. Her hair was a little longer than she usually kept it, she had been meaning to get it cut. It fell right around her shoulders, the last few inches still an acid green from her last dye job that slowly faded into her natural blonde.

A few greetings were called out to her, "Hey, Ali!" "S'up?" and the like, as she reached the porch of the host's house. She bobbed her head in response before heading inside to grab a beer out of the fridge. She didn't know who it belonged to, and maybe she was underage, but whatever. Calling for a bottle opener, it wasn't hard to find one. She popped the cap from her bottle, tossing the opener back and took a long swig.

James had shown up to the party about a good thirty minutes before Alison, he had dressed in a pair of jeans, some sneakers, a long sleeve shirt and a jacket over them, it was always simple with him not very complicated. He stood at six feet and four inches tall, his hair cut to that like a soldiers, short and buzzed, avoiding bed head mainly. His eyes were a deep cobalt that scanned the room of all the people, some he knew and some he didn't.

He was standing around with a few of his friends from the college, having a good conversation when the howling of a few of the younger people there caught his attention. "Hey whats all the noise about?" he asked. "Just some of those weird girls," one of the guys responded. The girl in question soon showed up, although her appearance seemed a bit dark, in all honesty he found her rather cute, and somehow recognized her from somewhere, but he wasn't sure where.

On her way in, Alison was pretty sure she had spotted the guy she sat two rows behind in her Chemistry lecture. Of course, she wouldn't approach him, but heading back the way she came with her newfound beer in hand, she found a conveniently open spot not too far from him and his friends to sip her beer and look too cool for this party. She cast the occasional subtle glance in his direction, trying to see if he was looking at her at all.

James caught the girl sit down across the room, he smirked and kept the conversation with his friends and caught her staring at him, although it was only glances to see if he himself was staring. Awfully smug that girl is, but she seems to be acting to lure me in, so let's test this theory he thought as he exited the conversation and began to walk to a different room, seeing if she would follow him.

Alison had nearly finished her beer by the time she saw the guy she was watching move to another room. She quickly downed the rest, passed back by the fridge for another, and then headed into the room she had seen him go into. Once again, she took a similar position: close, but not too close. She sipped some beer, casting a glance his way to see if he had noticed her.

Just as I thought James thought as he spotted the girl entering the room, Not an instant follow, but she came. he rendered in his mind, hm and with a new drink too, this might be a perfect opportunity for me.. He smiled and told his friends he'd catch them later before turning his stare right on her. He smiled as he walked up to her, letting her think she had snagged him, "Well aren't you the looker." he said as he walked up to her.

She raises an eyebrow at him but bobs her head in agreement. "Hey, guy." She says slyly. "Likin' the party?" She asks before taking another long sip of her beer.

"Oh I'm having a good time, you look like your killing it though." he said raising his drink and drinking it. Hm a little shy, too proud to show that though. he thought to himself as he smiled at her, "I see you have a lot of piercings though, does't that hurt?" he asked her.

Alison smirks and shrugs. "Eh, it wasn't too bad. I've certainly been through worse. Got the scars to prove it." She says, sounding a bit boastful. She then wraps her lips around her beer bottle suggestively before upturning and draining it.

And a heavy drinker, perfect he though as he looked over her, "nice choice of hair color," he said running his finger through the girl's short bangs, "what made you decide on that?" he asked as he smirked at the girl.
