In her confusion, she just sort of stood there, and Nurse Joy took advantage of the opportunity to get behind Melissa. Nick just had to keep Melissa standing there for a little bit and Nurse Joy would be able to administer the treatment.

"Yeah...just uhh, close your eyes and it'll pop up right infront of you!" Junior added hoping that would do the trick...and of course rummaging his bag for the said surprise. Though he hoped she pick up the pace before Melissa finds out what this is really about since he's not sure if she's really scared of needles.

Melissa stood there enthralled while Nick looked through the bag for his surprise. Taking advantage of this opportunity, Nurse Joy injected the needle into Melisda, administering the treatment. If Melissa noticed though, she wasn't showing any signs of it. "Mewissa gonna get supwise..." the mentally regressed girl said, thumb in mouth.

Junior rummaged some more before seeing his Charmander plush in there which he frowned a little on giving it out as a surprise for his regressed friend, but sighs there's no other choices right now. "Here it is!" He exclaimed as he held it out to her.

"Yay!" Melissa said, grabbing the Charmander plushie eagerly. As the mentally regressed girl played with her new toy, Nurse Joy explained the treatment to Nick. "The effects of the cure won't kick in for another few hours, after which point your friend is going to fall asleep. It's up to you to keep her occupied until then. " the nurse said.

Junior looked to the nurse and felt scared on it not taking effect until a few hours. "O-Okay nurse, i'll try. Thank you." He nodded after replying to her before focusing his attention on Melissa who was busy enjoying her new surprise.

"Well then, I'll be off. Don't hesitate to call if anything comes up, " Nurse Joy said as she left the room, leaving Nick and Melissa alone. "Look!" Melissa said, running up to Nick after the Nurse left. "Gotsa Chaw-manda!" said Melissa, proudly holding up the plush.

Junior blinks a bunch and sat on the bed. "Ye-Yeah, i know Melissa." He said patting her head softly and ponders on what to do next with her at this state. He needs some way to try and pass the time.

Melissa continued playing with her Charmander, but then realized that playing by herself wasn't as fun as playing with others. So, she came up with an idea to get Nick involved. "Nicky! Wanna battew?" she held up the plushie to Nick's face, asking him to play Pokemon battle with her.
