But contrariwise, if you're using a diaper that has super absorbent polymers, then drinking more could actually mean LESS leaks, because those polymers don't absorb salt water very well (this is why if you wear a diaper in the pool it'll swell up like a balloon).
PS - the diaper rash wouldn't be worth it.
Plus, I actually find it really uncomfortable to wear multiple diapers for long periods...at least while sitting, they start to itch/sting/irritate along the elastic leg bands. At night it's not too bad. Personally I think it'd suck pretty bad to be stuck in diapers 24/7. I'm already stuck wearing Depends Guards throughout the day and pullups at night (sometimes also during the day) due to light bladder leakage from nerve damage and it's honestly not that much fun...although better than soggy underpants.

well, the organic polymers used to make diapers absorbent are designed to bond with water, so you are right to an extent, but you would still pee out the same amount of salt either way, its just more water would accompany it.

There's a word for it, it's called um...well it's the property where something of high concentration will seek to level out with something of low concentration. Like how you marinate meat, the meat is low concentration and the marinate is really high, so the meat then absorbs the marinate in order to equal out the concentration...I believe it's called diffusion.
So as such the salt content in your urine isn't actually separate from the water and the more water you drink the less concentrated your urine is with salt and, thus, the easier/faster it can be absorbed (by the super absorbent polymers).
This how they do fake tests on diaper commercials, with the mysterious "blue liquid" where they take like a test tube and turn it upside down to show you how "superior" their diaper is at absorbing quickly...but the one they use on their diaper is usually just straight water with food coloring where as the competitor's product is done by adding a bunch of salt into the mix (which makes it more like urine) and as such it absorbs much slower.
The diaper will still absorb it, just not as well and not as fast. But, on the flip side, if you drink more water, then you're going to wet more, and you may wet more than what the diaper is capable of handling. So on the one hand you could leak by peeing too fast or in the wrong position, not giving it time enough to absorb concentrated urine, but then on the other side you may just flood it completely by having too much urine. So you kind of have to find a balance.
How you wet, your gender, body shape and what position you're in also plays a big part. Like if you started out the day sitting and you're a guy, then you'll be more wet up front and mostly dry in the back. So later in the day when you wet you might want to lay down on your back, which would then use up the back part of the diaper.
This is why I usually don't wear a diaper during the day for when I leak, because it's mostly all in the front, because I'm a guy (guys wet in front, girls in the middle), so if I wear a regular diaper then the whole back half of the diaper usually winds up wasted unless I swap it around and put it on backwards...although that's not really very comfortable, especially if the front is already really wet. At night, because I'm laying down at can move from my stomach to my back I can wear a regular diaper or pull-up and make use of the whole thing, so it's not really wasted at all.

that would be osmosis. =p
its where water moves through a semipermeable membrane to an area with a lower concentration.
or when you arent talking about water, it would be called diffusion.

Well, I have tried. It never works out though. I plan on wearing all day but several things tend to happen.
1. I have to go number 2, with the diaper already on, I am very likely to use it and end up having to change, or I will take the diaper off and use the toilet. Depending on the diaper, taking it off could mean the end of it.
2. Taking a shower means taking the diaper off, so again depending on the diaper ... you may not be able to get it back on properly due to the tapes.
3. Taking off a diaper at all just plain kills it for me. It doesn't feel the same once you put it back on.
4. The smell eventually builds up, I myself can't deal with it once it gets to a certain point.
5. Unexpected surprises, such as visits from friends or family. Unexpected errands such as going to the store.
6. I wet to much and it eventually leaks. Once a diaper leaks, it's all over and again it kills it for me. No sense in wearing the diaper in the first place if you plan on wetting your pants.
7. It begins to become uncomfortable. Like being in water for an extended amount of time. Constantly checking to make sure you are not leaking. Sweating to much. Itchy. Possible rash if not careful.
Anyway, the longest I had a wet diaper on was probably about 4 or 5 hours. After that, I couldn't stand it any longer. It could actually make me hate wearing diapers if it was required.

I've done it, very fun. Just stay at home for a day/only go out early in the day so you won't leak in public, if you do leak at all.
