Violet then read a statement about the incident, stating how Misty had been hospitalized and that new untested chemicals undetectable by the gym's cleaning protocols were to blame, though she did apologize about the affair, and that the gym would be closed for a while. When she finished, she opened for questions.

"Violet is it true that your sister has regressed?" A reporter asked

Violet bit her lip, and thought for a moment. "Yes, it is true. However, let it be known that nothing unsavory or bizarre is happening in our house. Misty is being well cared for, and we wish to make it as normal as possible for her, thus we would like our privacy respected from now on. Daisy will take the next one."

"Any questions that will not cause me to kill you?"

"Daisy, what do you have to say about the eggs incident? Will this affect your gym's reputation? Some have asked that the Indigo League decommission it because of this."

"The incident with the eggs was related to the Cerulean city Gym's pokemon rescue efforts, and all blame for the rash should be placed on Shino Petroleum Inc. As they were using intested chemicals in their oil refinery at the time of the spill. As for the people who call for the gym to be decommissioned, i say Fuck you."

"OK. Can we at least expect stricter cleaning protocols at the gym to ensure this doesn't happen again?"

At that moment, another reporter asked something that wasn't expected. "What about Ash Ketchum and Molly Hale? Are they regressed too?"
