Surprise new baby brother? (private for me and Rye only)

Vanitas sighed as he walked around the castle, a sad look on his face as he tried to look for something to do. He was tired of how he was being treated by Xehanort all the time, treated more so as a person of war then how he felt he wanted to be treated. He never really had the kind of childhood he wanted, having to grow up far too quickly so he could learn how to fight with a Keyblade. He really wished in a way he could get the childhood he wanted to have back, figuring he would never be able to as he sighed and looked around. Perhaps he could find a way of doing what he wanted but how would that go over when it came to Xehanort finding out about this? He knew he would be in for quite the deal of yelling and scolding because of it.

Ventus whistled to himself as he wandered around, he was feeling a little peckish , maybe he could go and get a sandwich or something. He passed a window , rain, well he wouldn't be going outside for now , not in this weather. Otherise he was pretty happy with himself today , nothing had made him particularly upset , although he was left here all alone for now as far as he knew but he didn't care. He stared into space thinking about what do do to entertain himself when he walked into Vanitas, falling back after making contact with him "oh sorry , my bad , not watching where I was going" he said rubbing the back of his head and giving him a sunny smile.

Vanitas let out a surprised sound when Ventus bumped into him, soon seeing Ventus as he saw that smile he always had on. "N-No it was my fault. I didn't even see you coming this way. My mind was kinda elsewhere. I should be the one who is sorry." He said, still having the sad look on his face as he reached out a hand twords Ventus. "I will try to look where I am going next time. Please forgive me." He said, seeming quite unlike him in some ways. Normally he would have yelled at Ventus for bumping into him. Now he was just so sad it was like he wasn't normal in some peoples eyes. One might notice Vanitas had the look on his face like he wanted to cry or something.

Ventus got up onto his feet and helped Vanitus up by taking his hand. He did see the signs , he was rather gloomy , not really his normal self , not angry or short tempered. He watched him turn a corner and thought about what to do about it. He jogged after him and caught up "hey , you look a little down" he stated "wanna get something to eat , I'll make you something nice?" he offered wanting him to take the offer so he could have the opertunity to probe into what was getting him down.

Vanitas started walking away after he was helped up by Ventus, figuring he could find something to do to try and make himself feel better. Though when he heard Ventus he looked away some, soon turning back to look at Ventus as he heard what he had asked him. "Food does sound kinda nice right now. Just hope I can eat is all. I haven't been able to eat for awhile now." He said, taking Ventus up on his offer as his stomach growled some. Seems he was not lying when he had said he hadn't been able to eat. His stomach sounded like it was craving anything to eat at the moment.

Ventus chuckled "well sounds like you need food , how come you can't eat? It's easy , just stick it in your mouth and chew and swallow. Maybe that's why you've been feeling down silly" he as said he walked with him to the kitchen "you sit down and I'll fix us something nice to eat. After some time of moving around the kitchen he returned with a plate with a grilled cheese tostie and put it down in front of him and sat opposite so he could chat.

"I know how to eat. Its just I haven't been able to in awhile now." Vanitas said, sitting down where he was told to as he watched Ventus cook some food for them. Once he saw the food placed in front of him he quickly picked it up, not caring if it was still too hot or not before quickly starting to eat it. Of course any knowledge of manners went out the door as he ate, eating rather rudely and quickly as he seemed too focused on eating right now. It was almost as if it was eating his first meal in awhile. One would have to hope he did not choke or anything while he ate.

Ventus raised a eyebrow , certainly some odd behavior. He ate his own at a slowed more controlled pace "you want another?" he asked once he had gone though his one "I can get you a drink as well if you want?" he offered as he got about half way through his. "So what's going on with you , people don't just starve for no reason. What's going on in your head?" he asked , starting to make headway into what was wrong with the boy.

Vanitas nodded at Ventus' question about wanting another one, soon hearing if he wanted a drink as he nodded again before wiping at his mouth. When he was asked what was wrong he cleared his throat some, letting out a bit of a sigh. "I-I am just tired of how I have been being treated by Xehanort is all. I am basically being treated like some kinda weapon. A monster or something who is like some tool of war. I just don't like being thought of that way. I want to have something I never once had in my life. I want a childhood. I wanna know what its like to be a kid again. I never got to experience that since I had to grow up so quickly." He said, lowering his head as he was sure Ventus thought that was a stupid reason to feel the way he did.

"A childhood huh?" he replied as he made him another tostie and a glass of milk and brought it over and put it down in front of him. He thought about what he had said and pondered what he could do "I could help you out with that if you let me" he said having an idea "but I'll need to get some things organized first...." he said , part to himself. He thought about it some more , leting the topic hang there for a bit longer "okay , I've got a solution, wanna hear it?" he said with a smile.
