Toph Trapped in the Daycare Domain: An Avatar TLA RP (private with

It was safe to say that Toph didn't like the rain. Wading through murky, loose earth, as the droplets assaulted her skin like a volley of tiny, wet arrows. It was, by all means, not her favorite. So, when she finally came across something of note, after searching through this desolate, overgrown forest, she felt relieved. From the way that dirt had gathered on the old house, she could "see" wood-grain patterns, and a roof, meaning shelter from the rain, and maybe even the cold. She decided to open the strangely unlocked door, and make her way inside.

She hadn't been on an adventure like this in quite some time, as a matter of fact, since she'd been a child. The now-22 year old woman tried to "see" the inside of the house, but found the place invisible. It was almost impossibly spotless.

As the house was entered, a lost spirit felt her domain intruded. She was once a caretaker, watching over children who would wander close. But very few came here any more, leaving a restless and desperate spirit.

But she sensed the intruder, there was no malice here. Just someone looking for shejter. A young woman without shoes and dripping with rainwater.

The spirit moved through the house, ready to investigate further.
(Heads up, I may be going quiet soon, just a few things to take care of.)

"Hello!" Toph called out, trying to walk through the house, and crashing into a few walls along the way, "Is anybody here!? I just wanna stay for the night!"

Toph grew increasingly concerned. Houses weren't just naturally spotless. All she could "see" were some metal forks, spoons, pots, and pans. She could see windows, glass came from sand, afterall, jars, and oddly-shaped cylindrical bottles, but there wasn't a speck of dust. She had to use the mud that she tracked in to trace her steps.

The spirit got a good look at the woman who entered. Barefoot and caged in mud. Green and light white clothing. The most pressing thing were her eyes. Glassy and blind.

The spirit’s apprehension became concern. Such a frail person, wandering the rainy night without the comfort of sight. She must care for her, as was her sole desire. Her voice, ethereal whispered into the woman’s ear.

“What is your name young one?”

"I'm not young, I'm twenty-two," Toph said.

She blushed at the comment toward her stature. She hadn't grown in years, staying around only two-thirds the size of most of her friends.

"But, my name is Toph..." She said, continuing to walk around aimlessly, "Who are you... your house doesn't even have a single speck of dust. For the first time in a while, I really can't" she uses her fingers to imitate quotation marks "'see'."

“Toph. A sweet name. I am a spirit, Nami the wandering caretaker. This place was once a nursery, where I would care for the children of nobles. But with the war, very few come here anymore.”

The spirit hummed. That confirmed it, Toph was blind.
“I keep this place clean, out of the hope that one will visit. I cannot have my place of residence left untidy, can I?”

She looked to Toph.
“You may stay here until it is safe. Come. There is a spare room for you.”

"I dunno where to follow, though," Toph said, "I'm blind."

The spirit didn't phase her much. She had never actually seen one, after all. Considering everything she had fought against and dealt with before, this wasn't too strange to her.

The spirit took Toph’s hand and led her to her new quarters like a mother with her child. The only room she had was a nursery, fitting for a caretaker.

Given Toph’s blindness, it would be import to inform her of such things before entering.

“I warn you, the room may not be what you are accustomed to.”

"Look, lady, I can't see a thing, do you really expect me to care?" Toph asked, not very keen on being lead around, a fact indicated by her tone, "Look, I'm cold, wet, and covered in mud. You're a spirit, aren't you? Can't you use your powers to coat everything in just a little bit of dust? Just enough so I can see? C'mon, it's the least you can do!"

The woman had an attitude. Alright, Nami may need to adjust her approach. Nami Turned to look, her voice calm yet a tad stern.

“I merely thought to let you know. And I will not sully my house just for your convenience, Toph.”

With a tad more force, Nami opened the door and pulled Toph through.
