Wesley stopped shaking Aria long enough to see a single, glistening tear roll down her rosy cheek. As if the calm before the storm, that one tear led into a full-fledged tantrum, Aria crying and sputtering. Wes backed up, holding his hands in the air when she screamed in a choked breath "I...I...I sowwy!"
"I sowwy? I SOWWY? What is she, three?" Like a sign from god, Aria's wetness indicator on her diaper slowly faded from its normal blue, only causing her to cry harder. "Okay, it hasn't been that long since she last wet, so she must have lost all control completely. Maybe she is three...could this be the effect of my magic? Damnit, this isn't good. I have to snap her out of this, she can't go to classes as a three-year-old!"
Wide eyed, Wes crept back to Aria and sat down next to her on the couch, rubbing her back and consoling her. All the while he frantically thought of a plan to break Aria of her sudden youthfulness.
--------------------------------
Wesley continued to rub Aria's back in a futile attempt to calm her down. Although she wasn't crying as hard as she was before, she still had very emotional bursts of tears. "Think, Wesley, think! How can you make Aria her proper age again? What is there to do? Maybe get inside her head, figure it out. If you can...wait!" Wesley jumped up in epiphany, smiling triumphantly. The sudden excitement proved to be too much for Aria, though, as the movement caused her to spray him with a fresh batch of tears.
"Okay, you have to calm her down if this is going to work," Wes recited to himself. Turning to Aria, he braced himself and went into the fray, sitting down once again on the couch...
-------------------------------
...but to no avail, it would seem. "I've tried everything!" he exclaimed in frustration, "I've done everything I possibly can to cheer you up, and you still won't stop crying!" Aria's wails rang sharply in his ears after the bereavement, and he looked down in dissatisfaction. That, though, was when he noticed the soggy diaper fitted softly between her legs. Palming himself in the head for his stupidity, he knelt down beside Aria and asked enthusiastically "Aria? Honey? Do you want your diaper changed?"

Aria, looked over at Wes from the now tear drenched pillow that she had been crying into. Her eyes were still tearing slightly and she was sniffling with a runny nose. Her eyes widened at the question, she didn't fully recognize who Wes was, and that caused her trust in him to waver. However she was starting to become slightly itchy and uncomfortable in the wet diaper so she nodded in compliance.
Aria in the mindset of a toddler at oldest thought that Wes was going to change her manually with the care of a parent. She rolled onto her back and held the tear soaked pillow like a teddy bear across her chest. At the same time placing her thumb in her mouth and sucking on it lightly. Unfortunately after a short moment of sucking her thumb caught on one of her fangs which caused a small cut. Almost immediately Aria pulled her thumb from her mouth exposing the bleeding cut. Her eyes welled up to the size of saucers and she began to cry heavily again, this time because of the pain more than anything that Wes had done.

Wes smiled as Aria stifled her tears and rolled on to her back. When she started to suck her thumb, he thought "Huh. That's actually kind of cute..." Catching himself going down a dangerous road, though, he forcefully halted his train of thought and focused instead on the task at hand. But he didn't have long to think, as Aria began bawling once again.
"God!" he said exasperatedly, "what is it this time?" Scanning her up and down he noticed a small cut on the end of her thumb, and he rolled his eyes in annoyance. "For such a powerful magical creature, you don't have much pain tolerance," he said jokingly to her. Wes took the crying girl's hand in his. Grabbing the thumb, he waved his hand over it and recited a simple incantation. The effects were immediate; the minute amount of blood that dripped down her finger rolled itself back into her thumb, as if time were in reverse. As soon as all of it made it back to the cut, the wound closed itself and healed magically.
"There, all better!" cooed Wes with a grin. "Now to get you out of that messy diaper!" Wes thrust out his palm at the diaper and stood expectantly, having had much practice magically changing his own. The diaper, however, did not react. It showed no signs of change whatsoever, and the soppy wetness was still easily visible. "Weird," he breathed as a puzzled look washed over his face. Sticking out his palm once again, he performed the spell and watched the diaper intently. Once again, nothing happened.
Wes was at a loss for words. Was she impervious to magic, now? In futile disbelief, he tried the spell again and again, and even cast other spells that might have had a similar effect. All of his efforts, however, met with the same result. He scratched his head and marveled at the strange phenomenon, wondering what exactly was going on. His mouth fell open as a sudden flash of insight occurred to him. Blushing, he stuttered hesitantly "Well...um...I guess I'll just have to, uh, change you m-manually." Wes' eyes flitted over the wet spot between her legs, and he tried his hardest not to picture what lay waiting beneath.

Aria gave Wes a pouty look when he joked about her pain tolerance. She knew that he was making fun of her when she had gotten hurt. When the blood seemed to crawl back into the cut however, she stared at it intrigued by the effects of the magic. When Wes cooed at her a large smile grew across her face and her eyes lit up happily, looking deeply into his with a very youthful aura emanating from her body.
As Wes continuously tried to cast a spell to change her diaper and repeatedly failed Aria smiled, giggling and cooing happily as if he were trying to entertain her. It was when he said that he would have to change her manually that her bodies natural reaction kicked in. Her cheeks turned bright red, but being in a childish mindset she did not understand why she was blushing about a diaper change that would only be natural for a girl of her age.
It was now, when her body was reacting nervously that there was a rumble in her lower gut. A moment later Aria instinctively rolled onto her tummy and laid still for a moment. It was then that a slight crackling sound could be heard coming from Aria's direction. As the crackling continued the back of Aria's diaper was physically beginning to bulge, causing the plastic cover to join the continuous lighter crackling, with a louder more distinct crinkling sound. Aria gave a certain face, one similar to a toddler who was purposely pushing a load into their pants, a "poopy face" per say. Aria continued to push for about tree minutes before the crackling stopped and a loud hissing could be heard. The back of her diaper now extended close to two and a half inches from where it had once pressed against her bottom firmly, slight stench emanating from her general area.
Aria gave a deep sigh before turning back onto her back and laying, making sure not to squish her new mess. The slight yellowing that had once been on the front of her diaper, between her legs was now replaced by a much deeper yellowing.
Aria had always had trouble with her bowels activating and speeding up when she was stressed or nervous. This had led to many an incident in the past, even at the college level. Aria had been forced to throw out countless pairs of underwear due to accidents, of course she would never allow anyone to know about it. A little magic here, a spell or two there was always enough to fix the problem of her nervous bowels when she would have an accident.

Wes noticed as Aria's pale face lighted up with tints of red, an obvious blush. The fact that she was blushing made it even more awkward, like she could understand what was going to happen. As Aria rolled on to her stomach, Wes thought it was his cue to start changing, but he stopped suddenly when her faced screwed up.
Thinking she was about to cry again, Wes' eyes opened very wide and he knelt down quickly in front of her, quickly saying "No no no no no!" in a hushed but excited tone. It was a few seconds later that the actual reason became apparent, however, as Aria clenched her eyes shut and tightened her mouth. A slight crackling noise came from the end of the couch, and at first, it didn't quite click in Wesley's head. "Is she getting up? he thought, eyebrows arching and furrowing. "Can she walk in this state?"
He stood up to help Aria for when he expected she would be rolling out of the couch, but he was met with a surprise. A noticeable bulge was protruding from the bottom of her diaper, steadily growing larger and larger, and a faint hissing was soon accompanying it. The diaper turned into a mix of dingy brown and heavy yellow, and Wes sighed in disdain as Aria sighed in relief. "You are quite the little trouble-maker, aren't you?" he asked her with a small chuckle. "Well, it looks like you need that change even more now, so how about we get to it?" Wes helped Aria off of the couch and led her to her bedroom.
------------------------------------
Aria lay expectantly on an adult sized changing table in the middle of her bedroom. "All right, we have the equipment," Wes said to Aria, "but now we just need the diapers." With a snap of his fingers, a package of diapers zapped onto the bed in a flashy show of light. Grabbing the package, Wes removed one of the diapers and unfolded it, feeling the soft inside of the garment with his fingers while he laid it onto the table. Looking back at Aria, and then to her diaper, Wes frowned and tried once again to use the diaper changing spell, and for the final time, he failed.
"It's so weird how that's the only spell that doesn't work in here..." "Oh well," he said airily, "Let's get this show on the road." Tentatively, Wes walked to the side of the changing table. He cautiously reached for the tape, as if he were committing some sort of crime, and he pulled it off slowly and gently. The side of the diaper plopped down to the table, exposing her right hamstring. Cringing, Wes reached over to the other side of the diaper, grabbing the pull tab on the other piece of tape. Hesitating for a moment, he weighed the options in his head and thought about things like whether Aria would be mad at him, or if she would even remember him doing this to her when she returned to normal capacity. But at that moment he caught a whiff of the mixture of odors wafting from Aria's diaper. "Whooh!" he exclaimed, "Aria, we've got to get you off that college diet!" Abandoning his caution, he quickly ripped the other piece of tape off and closed his eyes.
Wes peeked one eyelid open and saw a blurry mass of exposed flesh. Blinking his eyes open more fully, he looked Aria straight in her womanhood. A wash of shock swept over Wes' mind over what he saw. Instead of what he expected to see, a mass of slick, red feathers sprouted from all around her bikini line, covering her more private parts in a teasing display. Wesley's face went blank; he wasn't exactly sure if he was relieved or disappointed. Shaking his head over the strange turn of events, he went about his work.
--------------------------------
"Alright!" Wes shouted triumphantly. His face and his clothes were caked with white baby powder, as if the bottle had exploded in his face. "It took a little while, but I finally did it! Good as new!" Wes stepped back to view his handiwork, the pinkish diaper fitting snugly around Aria's crotch. Giving a beaming smile, he helped the phoenix-girl sit up on the changing table. "How does that feel, Aria? Did I do a good job?"

Aria sat there on the changing table for a moment, shifting around on her bottom to test out his work. After a minute or two of wiggling about she gave him a goofy smile like that of what toddler would give. This was her way of saying that indeed he had done his job well.
Aria hopped down from the table lightly, as she did so the table vanished along with her dirty diaper. She was a bit wobbly on her feet, but managed to balance herself to a decent degree. She outreached her arms and began to take little steps toward Wes. Each step was fairly wobbly, making it seem like she may fall. Despite this, about two minutes later she had reached Wes. When she reached him she wrapped her arms around him in a hug, holding her head against his chest.
She could hear his steadily beating heart, like a mezmerizing metronome. She held onto him for a moment before letting out a yawn, midway through saying a single word, "daddy." She tiredly clung to him, listening to his heart and closing her eyes sleepily. All of the excitement had exhausted her completely.
There was a problem though, the sun was going to rise any moment now. The entire night had flown by with all of the events that had taken place. Aria in her current state, being in her true form would not survive even the smallest amount of sunlight. As soon as it would touch her skin she would be burned through, as her vampire blood dictates. The other problem was that both of them had class tomorrow, both having to take a test for their history class.

Wesley giggled with the infantile woman as her smile lit up the room. Her laughter is just infectious!" he thought to himself in a daze. Aria slipped herself off of the table, and it disappeared with her. Wes' eyes slitted in concentration and deep thought upon witnessing the odd happenstance. "Is it possible that she's still using magic despite her mental state? It would explain why none of my changing spells worked...but maybe there's a larger force at play here; it could be dangero-" Wesley's train of thought was cut short as Aria gripped him in an unexpected hug. Resting her head softly against his chest, she yawned and whispered the word "daddy."
Time slowed to a crawling pace. Aria seemed suspended in her hug, drifting off as she listened to Wesley's steadily increasing heart beat. Wesley himself was in utter shock, literally left speechless in awe. In his mind he pictured swinging around a sweet baby girl, laughing and having fun, all the while filled with a sense of pride and worry. The delusion was interrupted, however, when he looked down and saw not his own baby girl, but a magical creature with brilliant red feathers and pale skin. "Pale skin..." he mouthed. He was staring out of a window at the moment, the starry wash of sky being eclipsed by a grey horizon. And then it clicked.
Wes jerked his head to the right, looking at the clock silently ticking on the mantle. Squinting his eyes in focus, he read upon the face 3:47. "THREE FORTY-SEVEN?!" he shouted within his head. "She's a vampire, she can't be exposed to sunlight!" Wesley quickly made a round of the room, counting two windows. Closing his eyes, he set his arm out in front of him and spun around the room. The moment he stopped, the windows faded darker and darker until at last there was no light able to be seen from them. Replacing the light they would have provided was an untraceable glow that emanated from nowhere, similar to the one in his private study. Damnit, we have a test in nearly five hours, too! God, I don't know if I can snap her out of this in that time, it usually takes around eight or nine hours!" Wes flipped through calculations furiously in his mind, testing and failing countless other plans. Finally concluding there was no other safe option, he swept Aria up and laid her on the bed.
Standing over her, Wes put on a happy face and acted his best to be completely serene. "Aria, honey, I'm going to do a little something now...something with you! But if you want to do it, you have to be really still, alright?" Not bothering to wait for a response, he sat down on the other side of the bed, facing Aria, and crossed his legs into a meditation pose. He meditated for a little while, hoping Aria's sleepiness would take hold of her, and cleared his mind of all the stress and worry he was feeling. Once his mind was tranquil and blank, he droned out ancient words that echoed and pulsed through the room. "Animadverto demens mei incedo vestra." Wesley's vision went blank as he fell over onto the bed.
-------------------------------
Blinking his eyes open, the first thing Wesley saw was a blank white permeating every surrounding. In fact, it reminded him exactly of the room Aria had produced in the bathroom earlier that day. Pushing himself off of what seemed to be the ground, he stood up, weary and heavy, and gazed at his surroundings. "So this," he said with latent curiosity seeping through his words, "is Aria's mind?"

Aria was spun about as Wes cast the darkening spell. She watched the spell take effect, darkening the windows and casting the light from nowhere. She looked at the light with curiosity for a moment before she once again was entranced by Wes' heart beat. It's tempo had risen but it was still calming, causing her to go deeper into her tired trance.
As Aria was laid on the soft bed her eyes closed and everything had faded into black. She had already been asleep by the time she was laid on the bed, merely an eye closing away from completely out of it.
A few minutes after her eyes closed her mind went from black to extremely bright white. It was a room that she seemed to recognize despite the fact that she had never seen it. In the center of this room her daddy had appeared, standing up wearily, as if there were weights connected to his limbs binding him to the floor. As he uttered his question Aria's conscience kicked into effect.
The room suddenly filled with images, covering all of the walls, the ceiling, and the floor completely, overlapping variously. Each and every image was like it's own movie, playing the events of her past, each one a different memory. Oddly enough however not a single one showed anything beyond the age of three. Everything from the moment that she was brought into the world to the last day of her third day of existence but nothing beyond that point.
In the center of the room A child appeared, upon a second look she appeared to be a toddler version of Aria's human form. As the child stood there in the middle of the ocean of memories, at least ten layers of protective spells surrounded the child, creating a spherical barrier about it.
It was then that the child's eyes met Wes and an innocent and childish grin appeared on her face. "Daddy", the word echoed throughout the space of Aria's mind and in a flash the child had entered Wes' mind. His mind was a copy of the study that Aria had only seen earlier that day. The childish Aria looked about, seeing that in place of the books that were there originally there were volumes of memories up to the non existent ceiling.
Things had just gotten weird, Aria had reversed Wes' spell in her sleep. There was now one of the children within her mind and one within his mind. The one within Wes' mind spoke first "So this is daddy's mind?" The girl spoke, echoing through his mind now.

Wesley had just gotten up when he saw a little girl before him who faintly looked like the Aria he knew. Figuring it was Aria's representation of her three-year-old self, he tried to walk forward to get her but ran into a solid force. "There must be protective spells," he thought. At least, he thought he thought until he heard his 'thought' echoing around the space. "What?" he 'thought' again. It appeared that one's thoughts, in a mind, were projected outwards and audible. "Very peculiar indeed," he thought again.
In a flash the previous blankness of the space lit up with vivid images, all flashing at incredibly high speeds. Although Wesley's eyes couldn't make sense of any of it, his brain processed all of the information perfectly and stored it into his own memory, a perfect copy of everything he saw.
Near the end of the montage, a strange voice filled his head and the space around him, a resounding "Daddy" pushing itself onto him from every boundary. In the intensity his eyes caught the eyes of the little Aria standing in front of him, and for a moment, she flickered.
Wesley experienced a crippling nausea, the room spinning while a duality took hold of him. Once everything had settled, he felt as though his sense of self was missing. It was difficult to explain; he could recognize the sensory input of his surroundings, but he didn't feel as though he should be having them. Sort of like his physical presence had ceased to exist and only his mental state had remained.
In his confusion his sight gravitated once again to the girl, scrutinizing every detail of her very existence. "So this is daddy's mind?" spoke the voice of the little Aria. The voice rang loudly in his ears, but it was muffled, like it had come from a far away place. The strangest thing, though, was that the little Aria standing before him hadn't moved her mouth. "What's going on...
-------------------------------------
...here?" Wesley stumbled backwards as the scenery changed from white blankness to his private study. "WHAT THE HELL?" he 'thought.' His head jerked from side to side, trying to make sense of his surroundings and what had just happened. Standing on the table in front of him was the little Aria, smiling and giggling at Wes' confusion. He stood up, and in his frustration he asked the little Aria "What's going on here? Where have you taken us?"

"Daddy, you shouldn't use bad words!" the voices of both Aria's rang through the space of the study, colliding into Wes'. One voice was again muffled while the other was as clear as day. Then the Aria in front of him turned his way and looked innocently into his eyes. "Daddy, can't you tell this is your mind?" she asked playfully.
The little girl raised one hand and in a flurry all of the memories that had been sitting on the shelves filled the air, reaching to the infinite ceiling of the study down to the stone floor and covering every inch of the shelving with Wes' memories.
Aria giggled happily as every one of his memories from birth until now were copied and stored in her own mind. "Daddy has some pretty funny memories, like in third grade when the teacher had to put you in a girls pull up because you had an accident..."
The protective spells were still surrounding both Arias, she was easily in two places at once without any disruptions other than the slight flicker of splitting that Wes' had noticed. "If you promise to be my daddy forever I will keep all of your secrets for you." Aria said giving a wicked yet innocent smile.
