How to train your trainer

James woke up, with a jump and quickly got dressed. He was excited because today, was the day he was finally getting a pokemon. Quickly brushing his teeth, he ran to his room, to pack his bags. Blushing, due to being reminded of his "little problem," James quickly shoved a bag of teenage diapers into his bag.

He had always had bed wetting issues, and never seemed to grow out of them. And now he was 15, and it didn't look like he ever would. That was one of the reasons it took him so long to become a trainer.

Anyway, he soon finished packing, and after saying bye to his mom, he ran to Professor Oak's lab, eager to start his Pokemon Journey.

[Rye]

Professor Oak was waiting in his lab a he always was with the three rare starter pokemon. He was expecting James in a few minutes. Although he had no idea why he would want to be a trainer now , usually they come in a lot younger to ask for pokemon but people were strange like that.

James smiled as he came in, and said, "I'm ready for my pokemon." He saw the three pokeballs, and was really excited about the adventure he would be in store for.

[Rye]

"just pick your pokemon and off you go" he said sliding 6 other pokeballs and a pokedex over to the lad. "now don't go attacking everything in sight , you'll wear your pokemon out instantly and make it very unhappy" he warned

"Don't worry," James said laughing letting the pokemon out to take a look. One was a turtle-like pokemon, one looked kinda like a dinosaur with a bulb on its back, and one was a awesome orangey red, dragon like one. He smiled, and got down on his knees to take a closer look. "Hey little guy," He cooed, talking to the charmander.

(This won't end well, him talking to Charmander like a baby. )

[Rye]

It just stared back and squinted with hatred at James. But this was a strange new place , it wasn't going to do anything yet until it worked somethings out. Professer Oak showed them both to the door "Just check back every so often and you'll be fine" he said half throwing them out.

James laughed, and said, "I chose Charmander." He then got his free pokeballs, and a pokedex and said, "Come on Charmander, lets go." He then left the lab, "forgetting" to get Charmander's pokeball.
(You can decide if Charmander can talk or not)

Charmander didn't care. He just followed the human talking to him. Charmander didn't like this trainer he was forgetful and doubtful of his power over fire. But he followed him for now. Once they were outside Charmander stretched , it was nice to be out of the pokeball for now , no way was he going back into that cramped space, good thing the trainer forgot it.

James gave off, a happy laughed, and skipped out of the town of Pallet, like a 5 year-old, happy to finally be starting his journey, if not five years late. "You ready to start our adventure, Charmander," His asked his partner, not expecting a answer.

[Rye]

Charmander growled storming ahead. This trainer was much too happy. Carmander decided to make life for this trainer as hard as possible. Once he was ahead he whipped his tail back and tripped James up , making his fall flat on the front. Carmander smiling a little at the view.
