Transformers Boring?

I don't find the movies boring, but I have one major complaint.

The romance feels highly unnecessary and forced, especially in number 3. The fact that it is worse in number 3 is kind of ironic, because his new love interest is a better actress. Which has another level of irony, because she was a model before this and this is her first movie.

But other than that...robots fighting. I couldn't dislike it if I tried.

I don't know, I've only ever seen the first Michael Bay live-action film. But judging by the Nostalgia Critic review of the '80s cartoon show the whole thing was targetted at very young kids and the Michael Bay movies at pre-teens and that it was never meant to be anything spectacularry complex or intelligent as entertainment...So, I'd suppose most adult people who didn't grow up with it and thus aren't watching it through nostalgic glasses might find it more or less borng. Of course, depending on what kind of entertainment one is looking for also affects the matter.

Thing it has had afew other cartoon incarnations so its not just 80 kids who would be going for it
