Trevor grimaced as the harsh sunlight hit his shuttered eyes. Slowly fading back into conscious existence, he blinked a few times to adjust to the light. Trevor sluggishly extended his arms and legs in a wake-up stretch, all the while yawning with morning exhaustion. As soon as he sat up, though, and all of his mental faculties whirred back to life, all of the hospital equipment in the sterilized room revealed the situation he had so recently encountered. The effect of this realization hit him like a brick wall, and his heart rate spiked once again. Flinging around in a panic, he searched for the girl he had scared in the clearing.
His panic was in vain, however, as he saw that same girl lying next to him, a soft blush creeping into her face. "Hey," Trevor gasped, still breathing somewhat heavily, "Uh...how are you doing?" The stupidity of his question dawned on him instantly, and he tried to redeem himself by quickly adding "Apart from being in a hospital, that is!" His cheeks burned red, matching that of the girl beside him, and in nervousness he started rubbing the nape of his neck.
