"Come on, big baby! I told you if you want your candy back, you have to go to the haunted house and asks the ghosts and witches for your candy back!"A very tall boy was looming over a small girl, a girl who wasn't a baby at all but her unicorn costume didn't help her case.

"But we're not suppose to go there! It's dangerous!" The girl had spent most of the night with some of the other kids from the orphanage trick or treating and got lots and lots of candy! While some of the other went back home, the little girl, Poppy, only wanted to take a break and set her bag of candy down her a moment and then next, it was gone. She scrambled around looking for it, on the ground, in bushes, and behind trees but it was no where to be found!

A couple of older kids were laughing and pointing at her calling her a baby which made her feel even worse about losing her candy. The older kids said that because she wasn't watch her candy, the ghost took so they could enjoy it themselves. And the only way for Poppy to get her candy back was to venture out to the woods and to a very old house that everyone said was haunted and get it back. Ask the ghost for her candy back.

Poppy stood in front the very dark woods. The poor girl was trembling but she really wanted her goodies back, she worked really hard to get them! So she very slowly made her way into the woods to find this mystery haunted house and once she was out of sight, the older kids , the actual thieves, we enjoying her candy!

"I'm not scared...I'm not scared..."The girl didnt walk for very long and soon, in front of her, was the big scary house. It looked old and windows were broken and floor board were missing. She gulped and slowly turned the door knob the house and walked right in.

"H-Hello...?"

The house was once owned by Annemarie, a young woman long since gone away but it’s said her spirit still inhabits the home waiting for any and all that may make an appearance, when the right person comes by the legend goes that she will make herself known in the strangest of ways. So of course when a little girl came sneaking in appearing absolutely terrified she couldn’t help herself, she was just too cute! Before she knew what was happening Annemarie had transported her somewhere, she was no longer in her world but rather a mirror of it. In this world Annemarie has taken a physical form, her home had been returned to its once great glory and Poppy would wake up in a small room with the lights off, unaware how babyish everything around her was. The truth is Annemarie always wanted a baby of her own, so finally when the time came and she found a girl with no ties to the world she once knew the woman simply knew it was her time.

It was now October 28th Poppy would relive the days leading up to Halloween where she would be given the choice, stay with her or go home to the life she once knew. Morning came and sun began peeking through the curtains to the nursery where the little girl now slept in a crib(complete with a kid preventing her from trying to climb over) wearing a blue babydoll nightie that didn’t quite cover all of her diaper. Annemarie was doing the dishes listening to the baby monitor for any source of movement.

One moment, Poppy was looking inside a creepy old house, the next it was dark. Completely dark. Poppy wasn't scared, just confused. Her eyes were closed and they were heavy. She forced her eyes and she looked around.'I'm...home...? But this isnt my room...?'She though to herself before slowly sitting up, looking around the room in a daze.'Where am I...? Whose room is this...?...What am I wearing...?!'She looked down at her outfit and poked at the diaper. 'No...I'm not a baby...this is a prank the older kids played on me! And it isnt funny!' Poppy eyes filled with tears and soon she began to cry."I'm not a babyyy!"She wailed.

Annemarie finished with the dishes and made her way upstairs, suddenly the lights turned on, She moved to unlock the crib “Awe sweetgirl are you okay? Wet yourself?” She asked mostly to herself as she stuck a hand down to check her diaper before she lifted her up and held her close in a comforting embrace.

The poor girl continued to cry, the words she was trying to say came out sounds and slurred words rather than a clear sentence. She didnt even realize but her diaper was wet but that was currently on her mind. After crying for a short while, her thought were a bit clearer and her ne t thought was, 'Who's holding me...? I dont know this lady..."She hiccuped and stared up at women, trying to figure out her own question. She didnt work at the orphanage so who was she?

She laid her down on a changing table silently singing to herself as she began to undo the tapes to her diaper, she would take baby wipes and begin to clean her up, soon she was powdered and in a dry diaper, next she began to pull her nightie off replacing it with a T-shirt leaving her diaper exposed “I bet you’re confused aren’t you?” She asked curiously noting how frightened she seemed.

Poppy was a bit in shock. She didn't know if this was a dream or if this was all in her head. She let out a small sniffle as she nodded. She let out a small whine as the was taped onto her."I'm not a baby...this joke isn't funny..."She whimpered.

“Would you like to be?” She asked curiously taking a seat she sat the girl up on her lap “Listen little Poppy. This isn’t a joke rather consider it a trial. Right now it’s October 28th we’ll spend the next 3 days as mother and daughter like this, if you don’t like it I’ll take you back to the moment you entered my home. If you love it like I predict you will we can stay like this permanently. Deal?” She asked curiously giving a sweetness filled smile “Oh come on now, give a smile and dry your tears truly it isn’t that bad.” She commented with a sigh.

Poppy just stared up at the woman, trying to process everything that was happening."What about those boys that were making fun of me? What about the candy they said the ghosts took? They said the ghost took it to this house." She looked around the unfamiliar room."This is...my room?"She looked back at the woman."You'll be...my mother?"That's something every orphan dreams of!

She smiled slightly “If you stay and decide to go home, those boys will be leaving you alone and I’ll see to it your candy is returned. But yes, this is your room and I would be your mother. Pretty good deal huh? Only catch is these, and the whole set up.” She commented patting her diaper gently.
