"thank-you miss. you'll need these before you go tho." she handed Julie the little onesies and footie pj's they had set aside for Katie, along with a baby safety car seat to put her in during transit.

Julie took both girls to the lady's lounge to change her new little girl and dress her in something warmer than she had.

"well Kirstie, looks like you're going to have a new little sister to care for and love!" Julie said, as she removed Katie's disposable and prepared her to be pinned in two diaper service quality prefolds. she had an extra pair of baby panties she included in her tote bag. she'd purchase quite a few more when she took them to the shopping mall.

after securing Katie's new cloth diaper prefolds and pinning them securely, she slipped a pair of little baby panties on Katie then held her up to admire the little girl.

"oh sweetie, you look so cute! your little panties have pretty flowers and happy little bunny rabbits. now let's get you all snuggly warm in the pj's the care giver lady gave us for you." she said, as she slipped the little girl in a soft pair of cotton footie pj's. they had crotch snaps in the event Julie needed to change the little girl's diapers during their trip to the shopping mall.

"ok, let's go girls!" Julie said, carrying little Katie protectively in her left arm and holding Kirstie's hand with her right.

as they approached their car, Julie asked the care giver to be kind enough to mount Katie's safety baby car seat next to Kirstie's so the two girls could sit next to each other and begin forming a common bond of sisterhood while in transit.

as she drove out of the parking lot, Julie was suddenly inclined to start singing a little a song about shopping at the mall, borrowing the melody from The Farmer in the Dell, a well known traditional nursery song.

"oh a shopping we shall go,
a shopping we shall go,

a shopping we shall go.

the mall is a place,
a very friendly place,
so much fun and much to do
in a very lovely space!"

she sang, giggling to herself about what a positive effect Katie had begun to have on her. Julie felt so uplifted and surely she would include a trip to the toy store for both her girls along with a visit to the baby shop to get Katie properly dressed for various occasions, both formal and informal.

"Katie, what nursery rhymes and activity songs do you really enjoy?" Julie asked, to see if Katie enjoyed those the same as Julie would have enacting the two girls in them, after all the two little girl were both musically inclined and perhaps would enjoy if Julie played along with the two.

"besides, when we get to the shopping mall, mommy's going to get a stroller for two, for her two girls to sit in together as sisters; then we three can all enjoy our day together quite safely!" Julie responded in an air of comfort.
