Jack nodded but when she turned her back he put both the white and the babyish ones in the basket hidden so she wouldnt see.

Lily smiled a bit when she said she could have one of each. "Ok"She said happily and started to look around more holding what she had got

"So what next sweetie?" Jack asked

Violet thought Lily might look good if she found some coloured trousers rather than just plain old denim jeans, so she took the girl to look at the rainbow of colours that was avalible in other materials.
"Well Lily, what do you think? See any of these you like?"

Not far away Lucy was deciding what she look for next, basically anything cheap she supposed now that she was sure she was getting the beautiful dress. She browsed the bragin section for price mark downs.
"Oh this is cute!" she exclaimed pulling out a pink camisole top with a darker toned lacey trim to it. She could wear it under something or as pajamas, just a shame they didn't have in purple, she had always seen that as a more mature colour choice.
"Can I have this aswell?" she asked Jack.

"Um yeah"Lily said and picked out a red pair and a black and grey pair.

Jack smiled. He ruffled her hair"Pick out what you like and just run it past me before we go to bye it "He said smiling it was nice she was being so considerit

"I'm just going to find you some socks Lily, why don't you keep having a look around for anything else you like." Violet informed her and went to look for the underwear section.

Lucy screwed up her face in annoyance as Jack ruffled her hair, didn't he realise how long she spent styling it just right in the mornings? She went to a mirror to fix it and kind of fell out with Jack for the moment.
"What you're getting me already is fine." she answered, having lost some enthusiam for shopping now and aware she was liable to clear out his wallet if he allowed her to get carried away.

Jack chukeled and rolled his eyes at the little girl going in a huff over her hair. "You look perfect sweetie you dont need to fix your hair"He said

"Ok"Lily siad with a nod. She then wnet and picked out some fitted guys t shirts which she liked and some sumpers and a couple of shirts. Most of hr stuff was pretty cheep

"Whatever" Lucy responded flatly and went off on her own to look for Lily.

"Hey. Did you get some stuff?" she asked her sister, hoping she had taken the oppertunity to get some nice clothes rather than taking her stubborn 'I don't accept charity' stance and making Violet's life difficult.

Violet returned shortly. She had found some cute socks and childish panties for both girls, hidden from veiw under the pile of Lily's clothes in her arms.
"Well I think we're ready to pay. Did you girls leave anything in the changing rooms?" she asked just to be sure they hadn't forgotten anything and then went to find Jack so they could take both sets of clothes of the girls to the cash desk together.

"Yeah" Lily said smiling at her sister and moved clsoer again. Lily siad she didnt leave anything and wnet to pay

Jack caught up frowning "I think Lucy is in a little huff with me for messing up her hair"He whispere dto his wife

Violet frowned with dissapointment, Lucy had seemed like such a well behaved girl, perhaps she had thought to highly of her.
"Well she shouldn't have been rude to you darling but it probably was a mistake on your part. Looks are important for us girls. Even Lily... though she has slightly different ideas about looks than I do, maybe next time we do this you can look for clothes with Lily and I'll go with Lucy."

After all the clothes were paid for and bagged Violet sent Jack back to the car with them while she spoke to the girls about what they wanted to do next.
"While we're here would you girls like to go somewhere to eat? Or have you had any ideas about what you would like to do today?"

Lisa was holding the shy Lily's hand again, and waited for her sister to a reply both adding her own opinion.

Jack nodded "Yeah I guess I need to get use to having girls in house again"He chukled

Lily was blushing holding her ahnd in public which was why she was hiding there hands in her poket and just set it was cold. "Um food sounds good"She siad

"Cheese burgers!" Lucy added enthusiastically, fuelled by her hunger and a typical teenage craving for junk food. Her cheeks took on a slight rosy colour as she felt some embrassment at her excited outburst but overall Lucy was a lot more confident than her sister.

Violet nodded in agreement after some consideration. She didn't want the twins to have a diet of entirely junk food but as a treat everyone once in a while it was fine. Once Jack had met back up with them after depositing the clothes bags in the car, Violet took his hand and they lead the way together to a family resturant they had in mind.

The resturant was one of those places where it was really more for the children than the adults, each table had a pot of colourful wax crayons on the middle because the table clothes were just big sheets of disposiable paper which the patrons were encouraged to doodle on while they waited for their food.
Despite being kid friendly it wasn't a nosy place though, the tables were all well spaced so each family had some peace and privacy.

As they sat down a waiter came to offer them drinks and passed out menus.
Lucy studied her menu studiously, reading everything just incase she had missed the cheeseburgers which maybe had a different name. Dissapoint was clear upon her face, it looked like the Pond's had changed their mind about letting her have a cheeseburger. She accepted she shouldn't complain but she did feel upset about it because Violet had nodded when she had asked.

Violet had noticed the girl's glum expression and reached over to turn the girl's menu to the 'kiddies meals' upon which 'cheeseburger' was the first heading.
"There you go sweetie. That's what you wanted isn't it?"

Lucy sat bewildered for a moment. She was a teenager, she couldn't order from the kids menu... could she? She did really want a cheese burger. Meekly she nodded.
Violet smiled plesantly and asked Lily if she saw anything she liked.
