Lily folowed them to the resdrant. She blushed seeing how childish the place was. She sat down next to Jack and couldn't reisit the urge to disccreetly picj up a cron and doddel a bit. She drew a very good eye. She loved to draw.

"Oh um just some chips. "She said putting the crayon down blushing shyly and looking away shyly.

"Is that all you want Lily. Don't feel like you have to get something inexpensive, you can have whatever you like." Violet coaxed reassuringly. If the girl really did just want some chips then that was absoultly fine but the trouble with Lily was that there was always another layer of thoughts going on inside her head that she was unwilling to share. All Violet could do was try to always be encouraging and hopefully the girl would come out of her shell bit by bit.

Lucy had been watching her sister drawing, Lily was good at drawing she had always thought so. Lucy fancied a go herself and eyed the pot wishfully but she couldn't think of anything to draw. It was true she could have just scribbled or drawn anything but she felt like she ought to be able to produce something that looked clever and mature.

"I just want chips"She said and looked down shyly and drew more.

Jack smiled at Lucy and offered her a crayon and said. "Want to draw something with me hunny?" With a smile seeing she wnated to draw.

When Lily's chipes came she smiled nad put tons of vinger in them and dug in cleaely vey hunggry and smiled.

Violet started on her own meal, pleased that the plate of chips seemed to be making Lily happy. Without getting involved directly, because she knew she tended to make Lily shy, she watched with intrest as the girls decorated the table cloth.

"You're good at drawing Lily. Do you think you'll become an artist?" she asked after having followed the girl's careful crayon marks arcoss the page.

Lucy was quite supprised when Jack offered her a crayon to draw with, she was also quite embrassed it had been so obvious she wanted to join in. She shrunk back in her chair a little but nodded shyly.
Since she had a pink crayon the natural thing to draw in her eyes was a love heart. She dragged the crayon over the paper but crayon didn't really draw the same way that pencils did, so she held in vertically in her first using her whole hand like she remembered to do from when she was a child. Her line was much stronger now and a clear, slightly mis-shapen love heart ornamented her corner of the table. She wasn't great at drawing like Lily was but she was pleased her picture looked like what she had been aiming for and smiled at the sense of satisfaction it gave her. Whimsically she swung her legs a little under the table.

"So what did you want to draw?" she asked Jack, feeling ready to progress onto joining him with his joint project now she had completely a trial version of her own.

"How about we draw Lily and Violet." Jack said smiling and started to draw with her. "i like you drawing sweetie" He cooded.

Lily shugged shyly. "Art's a hard feeled to get into and I'm not very good at it. "I said and finshed my food sitting back and rubbed my very full tummy

Lucy was sure about that idea, she didn't really know how to draw people, Lily and Violet might not like her drawing of them but then again who really expected fine art to be drawn in crayon? Lucy gave it a go, her drawing cartoonish because she wasn't confident at realistic drawings.

Violet shook her in disagreement, "Oh Lily you are good at it. I work with illustrators all the time on my childrens books, so I know a thing or two about what sells. People would find your style delightful I promise you, you just need more practice and training with your technique."

Violet didn't like to see Lily withdrawing like this, people shouldn'y feel embrassed by compliments, it was a sign of poor convidence.

"I'll tell what Lily, how about I let you have some my dummy books so you can practise your drawing in them. The publishers have to send me mock up books with no pictures in them to test the print in all in right places, but they would nice if you illustrated them for me."

Lucy shook her head, cartoons were for little kids. She liked Tom and Jerry but she didn't want to admit that.
"No. I just can't draw things properly."

Lily smiled slightly and nodded "Ok that sounds fun." She said wanting a new art project.She giggled a bit at her sister and said coughed " Lyier" and coughed again.

Jack chukeled and said "Come on sweetie what cartoons do you like?"

"Lily!" Lucy exclaimed in outrage as her eyes widened with shock. She would have thumped her twin but she was sitting across the table and Lucy couldn't reach.
Why did she have to embrass her like that? It was't fair, Lucy hadn't done anything to her and besides Lily watched cartoons sometimes too.

"I like Tom and Jerry." Lucy mummbled in akward response, "and I like looney toons aswell."

A hand shot to Lucy's mouth. She could believe she had just told Jack that, it was exactly like earlier when she had admited wetting the bed. She blushed deeply, turning her head away.
