Jack frowned that she seemed so destressed. He gathered up her sheets and headed donw to the kitchen. He popped them in the washing masheen and smiled sadly at his wife. "She is feeling a little shy she will be down in a momment"He said . "Now you go sit I will make brekfast"He siad and ksised her heek.

"Butter "Lily mumbeled. She saw him coming down with her sheets. She was suprised Lucy let him do that. She really wished her sister would come down soon she needed her just now she wanted a hug

"Thanks." Violet answered as she gladly let him take over responsibilty of kitchen duties, then went and settled herself in a lounge chair and opened a magazine she had been browsing through yesterday before they left to pick up the girls.

Lucy came down 15 minitues later in her faded jeans and angel top. She looked brighter and refreshed now that she had had a shower and a chance to relax.
She glanced into the kitchen and saw Jack making toast but she was looking for Lily. She found her in the living room, all bundled up in a blanket. Had she slept down here?

"Do I snore or something?" she teased as she greeted her twin sister with a smile. "Good morning."

Lily blushed and shoke her head "I woke up early and came down to watch tv"She said quietly. She then shyly pulled her into her arms on the sofa. She buried her head in her sisters neck and clinged onto her for a moment.

At that point Jack cme in with her brekfast. Jack and Violet hadn't seen Lily been that affectonet yet and Lucy hadn't seen it in a while.

Jack set the food down and said "what would you like Lucy"

'Wow, where did that come from?' Lucy wondered as Lily tugged her into a hug, even Violet had looked up from her magazine with a supprised expression.
Lucy didn't actually say anything though, she just wrapped her arms around Lily and gave a reassuring squeese, wondering why Lily was clinging to her like a baby animal which doesn't want to be abandoned by it's mother. She decided she had better keep a close eye on her sister today.

Jack came in with a platter of toast and provided a welcome intruption. No matter how much you loved someone a hug could only last so long before it started to feel akward and forced.

"Strawberry jam please?" she asked quietly, wondering if Jack was intending to tell Violet she had woken up with wet sheets.

Lily blushed a little as she let go of her sister. She didn't really know why she needed that so much she just wanted comfort. She nibbeled on the toast happily the warm food heating her up.

Jack nodded and smiled. He came back with what she asked and then sat down on the arm of the chair iolet was in and stroked her hair as he gave her a coffee. "So girls what do you wanna do today? We were thinking we could take you shopping" He said

"I would love to go shopping!" Lily exclaimed excitedly, had it not been exactly what she had been hoping for in a new family only yesterday? But then her expression dampened as she realised she had much money saved up. Also there was Lily's stubborness to contend with. She was bound to say she didn't want to go and Lucy would have to listen to another sermon about how just because the foster parents were trying to be nice it didn't mean they were ever going to replace Mum and Dad.

Lily would normaly say she didn't want to but she knew her sister did and she really wanted to stay close to her so she siad. "Fine"and sighed.

"Great we can get you girls some new cloths"Jack said smiling. Had had to admit he loved to spoil his girls.

"We don't have any money and we don't acepte charatity"Lily said blutly

"That's fine with us, you can do chores to pay us back for whatever you buy." Violet quickly retorted with wicked glint in her eye. "That's fair isn't it Jack? Unless I suppose your both super well behaved and we might let you have something as a treat."

Lily sighed she knew her sister wanted to buy stuff so noccded. "Fine she said"

"Ok great why don't you go and get dressed Lily"Jack said and Lily nodded shyly and headed up stairs

She came back down dressed in lose fitting blue jeans and a long sleved guys black top. Her hair was still messy but she had made it that was as that was how she liked it. She didnt own shocks so she sta down and put her shoes on without shocks even though it hurt her feet

After having gone to fecth her coat Violet noticed Lily's bare feet as she tried to stuff them into her shoes.

"Lily go and find some socks please. You'll get blisters if you go out like that."

It was pretty common for girls to murder their feet my going out in too small heels or sandles which weren't usually worn with socks since it was all about showing off your feet but Lily wore trainers, she had never heard of a girl who went bare footed in trainers.
