Tsunade adopts a Nine-tailed Kit - (Private with Ruby)

In her office in the Hokage Residence, Fifth Hokage Lady Tsunade was quietly grumbling to herself. She had just concluded a diplomatic meeting with the Mitzukage, Mei Terumi, as part of an ongoing effort to strengthen ties between their two villages. Diplomatically, the meeting had gone more or less perfectly, with both her and Mei agreeing to pretty much every proposal. However, when the diplomacy had ended and the two Kages had been left alone to have tea, things had gotten a little....tense.

Following the destruction of the sound village Mei had actually tracked down one of the sound village five, the demonic flute player Tayuya, and had decided to adopt her as a daughter and personally rehabilitate her. Naturally Tsunade, and many others in the hidden leaf village had been more than a little reluctant to allow such leniency for one of Orochimaru's top disciples, especially one that had played a direct role in the death of the Third Hokage, but Mei had managed to make her case in a convincing manner so eventually all parties had gone along with it. Tsunade had been starting to regret that decision. Not because Tayuya had done anything wrong or relapsed into her old chaotic self, but rather because now it seemed that Mei couldn't stop talking about her apparently perfect daughter.

"I didn't think it was possible but her flute playing has gotten better...She's taken to water jutsu so fast you'd think she was born here....ugh," Tsunade groans and rolls her eyes as she repeats the latest barrage of boasting, but the part that had really gotten under Tsunade's skin was the last part. "It's just so fulfilling being a mother you know? Well I guess you wouldn't...sorry...I mean granted as Kage's we're essentially the mother of our villages, but to have a child of your own that depends on you. It's such a warm and gratifying feeling.....I hope someday fate allows you to experience it.......Yeah, and I hope someday I can smack your face without causing a diplomatic incident. Ugh, that insufferable brat!" Tsunade grumbles sitting at her desk with a huff. She was quite aware of all the teasing and references to her age that were sprinkled in between the lines of Mei's flowery language. The worst part is that next week she'll have to go to the water village herself to finalize their agreements, and she can only imagine how much more the woman is going to lay on her when the two of them are on her turf. "God I would love if I had something to take her down a few pegs..." Tsunade grumbles before sighing and looking out the window, having forgotten she had one more appointment today with someone walking down the hall to her.

Ino let out a frustrated sigh as she was walking to the hokage office with her fellow blonde teammate Naruto. *Jeez Naruto you're fifteen now it's kinda embarrassing to help you use the bathroom just because you are afraid of the toilet" soon they arrived at the hokage's office.

Naruto knocked on the door and opened it and walked in his attention still on ino. "Look I'm sorry ok I just think that thing is to terrifying every time I'm in front of the toilet it looks gigantic and I think I'll fall in" he pouted.

Ino closed the door behind them and looked around the office and was relieved that shizune was honest the moment. "Sorry lady Tsunade I came with Naruto because he needed help going to the bathroom... again" she rolled her eyes and patted the boys head.

She and Tsunade are the only ones who knew about Naruto's toilet troubles which is why they became duo team."Anyways it's your turn to babysit ma'am" she bowed and headed out the office.


Naruto watched ino leave. "I'm not a baby" he mumbled and turned attention to Tsunade " hey Grandma Tsunade how was the meeting with the mizukage?"

"Hm?" Tsunade, still distracted by her brooding, looks up just in time to see Ino leave. Her eyes then turn to Naruto and she quickly remembers what's going on. "Oh Naruto, hey kiddo. Go ahead and take a seat," she says, mustering a smile. The kid could certainly be a pain at times, but she did really care about him. Hell, she'd probably still be going around losing money in cut rate gambling houses if it wasn't for him and Jiraiya. She was also far more understanding of his phobia given her own experience dealing with her own fear of blood.

"Oh the meeting went just fine," she replies with a shrug, though thinking about it is quickly bringing back her grumbling. "Had a lot agreements, and I'll be heading to the land of water next weekend to finalize them...you know same old same old...." She says, unable to groan as she once again imagines how much more insufferable Mei will be in her home village.

Naruto grinned as he took a seat "you get to go the land of water next weekend" he started squirming in all excitement. "Can I go with you grandma Tsunade please? I'm tired of doing dum D rank missions plus ino thinks I'm a freaking baby all the time" he pouted.

"I want to go away from her constant teasing heck she even calls herself my big sister " he blushed a bit but quickly shook it off. "She says that I should be wearing diapers I'm fifteen years old not a baby I'll show her he chuckled

Soon the office door opened and shizune came in carrying a stack of papers and set them on Tsunade's desk "here some paperwork for you lady Tsunade" she looked at Naruto and smiled. "Naruto I bumped into ino while I was out and she said that you are staying with her because you're apartment is a wreck is that right?

"Yeah he nodded and frowned. "There is some civilian who still don't except me for containing the kyuubi so they broke into my apartment and trashed it pretty badly"

Shizune locked at Tsunade. "Lady Tsunade why don't you have Naruto live with you I mean you two are close almost like a mother and son"

Shizune stop it don't say such embarrassing things plus..I don't want to get in Grandma Tsunade's way every night" he mumbled and looked at floor.

Naruto Lady Tsunade are both aware of your bed wetting problem which is why I bought you pull-ups and changing supplies " she pulled out a scroll and put it on the desk and unsealed it revealing all the items

Naruto looked up and frowned as he saw a blue package of pull-ups that had teddy bear designs "I think you should start wearing pull-ups 24/7 or diapers which I had Tsunade buy"

"Shizune that's enough!" Tsunade says, bring her hand down hard on her desk. She wasn't one to coddle someone when they needed help or guidance, but she also knew how embarrassing it could be when someone made a big deal about your phobia. Also the suggestion about him having Naruto as a son had brought a pink tint to her cheeks "Yes I'm well aware of Naruto's issue, but there's no need to pile it on like that. It certainly isn't going to improve it don't you think?" She says, raising an eyebrow at her assistant.

"Oh I...I'm sorry, Lady Tsunade," Shizune replies bowing her head slightly.

"I don't think I'm the one who needs an apology," Tsunade replies, tilting her head towards Naruto.

"Right," Shizune turns to Naruto. "I'm sorry, Naruto. There was no need for me to lay into you so much about such a sensitive topic. If there's nothing else I'll leave you two to discuss things." After she leaves, Tsunade sighs and turns to Naruto.

"I know it's embarrassing to hear her talk so casually about your problem, but it's really nothing to be ashamed about," Tsunade says walking over and laying her hand on his shoulder. "Now what's this about someone wrecking your home?" She asks, her voice a mixture of concern and anger.

Naruto jumped out of his seat as he wasn't expecting Tsunade to get angry despite the situation was about him. "He turned to face Shizune and smiled. "It's ok Don't worry Shizune I know you are just looking out for me like always" he smiled and watched the woman leave the office closing the door behind her.

He looked at Tsunade and let out a sigh of relief. "Thank you grandma Tsunade please don't be mad at Shizune she is just being overprotective of me like always" he couldn't help but blush remembering at the time Shizune watched over him at a hospital.

Due training exhaustion she was freaking out making sure he was completely OK. The boy chuckled at the fond memory. "Yeah it's embarrassing to talk about my accidents since I'm fifteen now but...you, Shizune and ino are like family to me so it's ok I'm not upset I've gotten used to it

Naruto frowned at the mention of his apartment and put t his handing Tsunades "it's like I said earlier some civillians still don't except me being the kyuubi container despite everything I've done...I mean you know the old saying which is you can't please everyone so...they trashed my place abd I've been staying with ino since which has been a full week now...I'm sorry I didn't tell you sooner it's just you've been busy and stuff" he hugged Tsunade tightly.

Tsunade frowns and quickly wraps her arms around Naruto. On the one hand, she understood that there were still many in the village who were afraid of the threat of the tailed beasts, but that was no excuse to do something like that.

"Well maybe those people can learn to accept you being the Kyuubi after they've spent a couple months in lock up," Tsunade says firmly. "I'll send some of the Military Police Force to round them up once we're done here." She says, reaching one hand over to start writing the official order.

However, doing so allows her to get another good look at the package of pull-ups that Shizune had left, which reminds her that she does have a package of diapers under her desk that she bought at Shizune's suggestion. While she certainly didn't want to make Naruto feel embarrassed or uncomfortable, from her personal experiences as both a doctor and otherwise she knew that nothing good ever came from ignoring a problem.

"Naruto," Tsunade says gently as she turns to look him in the eye. "About the...protection. I understand that it's difficult and kind of embarrassing for Shizune, Ino, or me to ask you to wear this stuff, but really you have nothing to be ashamed about. I know all too well how difficult it can be to overcome a deep-seated phobia, but you need to understand that sometimes when you're struggling with something you need a little extra help. You wearing one of these di...er pieces of protection is no different than someone with a broken leg wearing a cast. So would you be willing to let me help you work on your...issue while you're here?" Tsunade says gesturing to the pull ups. Honestly, she seriously doubts that he's ready for those and thinks she really should just go straight to the diapers, but figures that it might be better to try and ease Naruto into this.

Naruto released the hug and stepped back and rolled his eyes playfully knowing Tsunade can be quite overprotective sometimes. "Relax grandma Tsunade I know I can't please everyone...no matter what I do unfortunately but that's ok" he nodded. But still he wasn't going to stop her as those people deserve a punishment for destroying his home.

Naruto blushed and looked at the floor as Tsunade mentioned his problem and the pull-ups. He knew his issue would cause problems but..he hated the toilet because everytime he's in front of it. His imagination takes over making the toilet bigger than him not only that but it turns into a monster.

With red eyes and green goo coming out of the bowl wanting to eat him plus the fact he had a horrible childhood didn't help either. He shivered as bad memories came up he shook his head and took a deep breath and looked at Tsunade and smiled.

Umm...do you think Hinata would make fun of me? And you never answered if I can go with to the land of water so..if I can go with you I'll wear the pull-ups deal?"

"Oh come on Naruto," Tsunade smiles and chuckles, patting his head. "If there's anyone in the village who wouldn't judge you for something like this it's Hinata," she chuckles again, amused by the underlying feelings of his question. Honestly a part of her is pleased that he might finally be moving on from his crush on Sakura. She loved both those kids, but even she could tell they were better off as friends. Upon hearing Naruto's question, Tsunade sits back down and rests her chin in her hand to think. She'd figured that having some sort of incentive to get Naruto to wear the protection willingly would help. Also, it would honestly be nice to go with someone on this trip, especially because then there would be someone to vent to over Me's inevitable ranging about her daughter...wait.

Tsunade pauses as an idea hits her, she glances over at Naruto while also remembering Shizune's comments. Maybe Mei wasn't the only Kage who could adopt a troubled youth...

"Well Naruto," Tsunade says, standing up, an amused smile now on her face. "That is a fair deal, but I just thought of a way we could...sweeten it a bit....if you're interested?" She asks, starting to sound a bit like her old gambler persona.

Naruto mumbled a few incoherent words as Tsunade patted his head as he was embarrassed. "Still it's humiliating but I accepted my issue and so have a few others" he smiled glad he has wonderful friends despite his past and everything.

He watched a Tsunade sat back in her chair and he knew she was thinking of something as she got silent for a while. Naruto first pump the air as Tsunade was letting him go with her. "( One on one time with Grandma Tsunade awesome") He thought.

But he raised an eyebrow wondering what was Tsunade offering. "What do you want hmm I hope it's not something embarrassing it's bad enough I have to wear those grandma'" he pointed at the package of pull-ups that was on Tsunade's desk.
