Thankfully for her, Fluttershy, though means she refuses to divulge, got Smarty Pants back from Big Mac. "So how's the Empire been? I assume the crystal ponies have taken well to your rule?"

Cadence nodded as they trotted along, occasionally greeting ponies in the street. "Well, there are no pitchforks or torches being waved so I assume so." She said a smile. "They're all wonderful ponies and the only problem is bringing them up to speed on the rest of the world. They do have some...outdated ideas on how to raise children." She said the last part quietly. "Nothing bad, just...odd. 'Treat like the age they act' is the general idea to put it simply."

Twilight thought her comment was weird but assumed their customs were really just that strange. "So do you have anything planned or are we just going to do whatever for today?" Twilight was a stickler for a schedule, though Celestia would punish her if she even thought more than a few days ahead on vacation.

"Well, today let's just relax, okay?" Cadence wanted to start it off with getting Twilight into the mood for relaxing, which was going to be hard. "They've got a lovely meal ready for us back at the castle and it will be dark soon, so there's not much we can start and finish today anyway."

"Well I guess that's kinda what I expected to happen on the first day. I trust you have a room for me?" Twilight didn't expect much but she did love her privacy, the only one generally accepted in her little 'bubble' was Spike. She was looking forward to getting some much needed sleep.

Cadence nodded as they reached the entrance to the palace. "Just down the hall from my room, well mine and Shining." She blushed slightly. "The Crystal Ponies aren't very subtle. They added a nursery in an attached room. I think they're hoping for an heir soon."

"Are they already thinking that far ahead? I mean, you've only been married for eight months. I wouldn't be comfortable trying to produce an heir for a few years if I was in your position." Twilight commented. "But I do assume they built it quite well. They always were good at building things." Twilight commented. "Though I wouldn't mind seeing the entire castle honestly. I didn't exactly get to tour it when I was here the last few times."

"They're just very family oriented." Cadence explained as they approached the entrance, the door swinging for them. "In that case why don't we take a tour after dinner? It's a very beautiful building although I'm sure you know that already."
