Undertale: The Regression Spell

Frisk smiled, happy that her distraction was working. She didn't want Asriel to be upset. She kept playing with him while Chara changed and cleaned him, eventually putting him in a new diaper.

Frisk handed Asriel the butterfly so he could play with it and looked at Chara, impressed at her skills. "Great job, Chara. You did it. You changed his diaper" she clapped softly. "How and where did you learn to do that?" she asked her again, wondering where the heck Chara could have learned such a skill.

"Well, thank you. Now I know how to change a diaper" she said, blushing somewhat at seeing her brother's prince parts. Boys sure did look different than girls in that regard.

"What should we do now? Asriel seems bored of blocks. Should we take him outside to play on the playground in the yard?" There were swings, a seesaw, a slide, a cubby house, and stuff like that. Asgore had built it for the kids to play on.

Toriel then appeared in the room. She knocked on the open door lightly "How are you all doing? Is everything all right?" she asked "Do you want me to play with you while lunch is cooking? I have good news. I made a butterscotch cinnamon pie for dessert" she smiled. She even planned to feed some to Asriel, but she would cut it into tiny portions and feed it to him, she didn't want him to choke.

"Well I actually learned it from mom because one time me and Asriel decided to play a week long game of house with him as the baby and me as the mommy so I learned out to change a diaper from that and it came in handy" Chara explained to her sister and nodded at the idea of the mini playground in the yard

Frisk listened to Chara's explanation. "Oh. Wow. That's dedicated" she giggled. "Mommy taught you parenting skills. I can't believe Azzy let you baby him that long, though. Did you guys make some kind of deal?"

She looked over when Toriel arrived and waved at her "We're good. Chara changed Asriel's diaper!" she told her excitedly, "It was amazing. I watched so now I know how to do it too!" she said, getting up and helping Asriel to sit up on the changing mat. "Upsy Daisy, baby bro" she cooed.

She looked at Toriel again "We're going to take Azzy outside to play for a while, while lunch is cooking. On the playground Daddy made for us" she smiled, she loved her Mommy and Daddy so much. "Yes please. I love it when you play with me. Come outside with us. And yay! I love butterscotch cinnamon pie!" she clapped her hands together in joy.

Toriel laughed softly "Oh yes, I remember that. Chara was a very good mother to Asriel" she said, remembering them playing house for a whole week. "Thank you, Chara, that was very helpful of you. I'm sure Asriel appreciates his clean diaper"

She looked at Frisk with another chuckle at her enthusiasm. "All right, all right. I'll come outside. Just remember that Asriel's very little now. He can't do as many things as before. You have to be gentle with him and watch him very carefully on the playground so he doesn't get hurt" she reminded them.

Toriel walked over and picked up her son, cuddling him close to her soft bosom. "Let's go play, Asriel" she said, taking him to the yard.

Frisk tailed along, grabbing Chara's hand and pulling her with her. She looked at the playground and frowned in thought "What should we do first? Swings? Seesaw?"

Asgore looked up from watering the new plants, waving at the small party. "Oh, hello there. It's a lovely day to be outside. Just be careful of the hose, don't trip over it" he warned.

Chara smiled glad st how much she could tell Frisk as she followed her outside

"I think we should figure out what's safe for little Azzy first" Chara said as she looked around and Asriel giggled as his mother picked him up and brought him out

Toriel nodded at Chara's words.

"You're right, Dear. Let's see...he could go on the baby swing for a bit" she said, taking him over to the swing and placing him into it, strapping him in. It came with the playset Asgore bought and put together and it was good for kids who were scared of heights or not good at holding the swing chains yet. The chains on all these swings were covered in protective rubber so little fingers couldn't get pinched.

Toriel looked at the girls "Do you want to push him?" she asked them.

Frisk shook her head, getting onto the swing beside Asriel and holding on. "I want you to push me first" she said.

Toriel smiled and began to push Frisk on the swing "Of course, my child. Here you go...whee...whee!" she said softly, pushing Frisk's back to make her swing back and forth. She gently pushed Asriel's baby swing at the same time, standing behind the swing set. "Do you want to push Azzy, or do you want me to push you as well?" she asked Chara.

Meanwhile, Asgore tripped over the hose and landed in the wheelbarrow where all the pulled weeds were. "Oof!" he cried out, then started to laugh "Oh dear, how did that happen?" he began to try to get out of the barrow but was stuck.

Frisk saw her dad's antics and started laughing "Ha ha, you told us not to trip over the hose!" she giggled.

Asriel giggled and clapped as he was swung and seeing his dad's antics he laughed harder as Chara ran to help out Asgore

Toriel loved her son's happy laughter and clapping. At least he still had some hand-eye coordination left. She continued to push him, the swaying motion of the swing gently moving him to and fro with a little jaunty swooping to it. The garden tilted up and down as Asriel saw the sky, then the garden, then the sky again. The garden was bursting with colourful flowers of many kinds thanks to Asgore's efforts, making it nice and bright to look at for a baby.

Frisk kicked her legs back and forth, moving the swing a little on her own to go higher. Her dress and brown hair blew about in the wind. She loved the feeling of her mom's soft paw pressing her back over and over, sending her swooping through the air. She looked across at her brother and grinned at his laughter. "Daddy's being silly, isn't he?" she asked him.

"Hey Mommy? Asriel said 'tree', 'bird' and 'dog' earlier on the bus today. Do you think he can still talk a bit?" she asked.

Agore took Chara's hand and made a loud, playful groan as he hauled himself out of the barrow, pretending it was very hard and that Chara was really strong. He chuckled and patted her head "Oh, thank you, Chara! I don't know what I would have done without you. I could have been stuck there all day" he joked.

"Do you want me to push you on the swings? Or I can show you the flowers I planted" he said, proud of the garden. He picked Chara up and spun her around "Wheee!" he laughed, playing with her.

Chara giggled and laughed as she was spun around by her father and was glad Asriel was happy as well

Asgore spun her around a few times just for fun, the wind swirling her hair and clothes around. He then tossed her in the air and caught her, bringing her into his arms afterwards. "So, would you like a swing? Or should we play something else?" he asked, booping Chara's nose.

"What do you think of the new flowers I planted? I had to learn all the human names for them since it's been such a long time since I was on the surface. Gardening is so much more fun up here, mainly because there are more flowers and plants"

Toriel considered Frisk's question "I don't know, Sweetheart. I think the regression spell has affected him more since this morning on the bus. But maybe if we talk to him and teach him words, he'll learn how to speak again" she said, pushing Asriel's swing some more.

"Just be patient and understanding. He cannot help the way he is now. Even though I know you miss talking with him" she said gently.

Frisk kept kicking her legs around, giggling on the swing. She quieted as her Mommy told her what she thought about Asriel. "Oh. Well, even if he can't talk, I'll still talk to him. Maybe he can re-learn words!" she said hopefully.

Frisk started to swing higher, pumping her legs to get up some speed. "I'm going to do a big jump, Mommy! Azzy - watch this!" she said, touching her brother's arm to get his attention "Watch me...here I go....hyah!" she leaped off the swing as hard as she could and landed a good distance away, falling over. Frisk stood up and spread her arms out "Ta-daaa!"

She looked over and saw Asgore playing with Chara. "Careful Daddy, don't drop her!" she said as she watched him toss the girl in the air and catch her like she was a toddler.

Chara did in fact enjoy the flowers and agreed at what her father did was impressive

Asriel babbled as he was swung around and giggled a lot when Frisk did her trick and he laughed a lot and wiggled around making plenty of adorable crinkles
