An Unexpected Encounter- a Tiffany sidestory

"Okay kiddo, up we go" Steven said as he lifted her into the safety seat, getting her settled in. Her legs hung down through the holes in the seat, dangling a good foot off the ground as she sat suspended in mid-air, the front of the seat coming up nearly to her chest.

"Here we go!" as he began to push her, swinging her up in the air, back and fourth.

She soon found herself in the air as an exilirating experience weeee higher higher she said

Steven was happy enough to oblige her, pushing her higher into the air, watching her little blonde locks flutter in the wind as she laughed.

'maybe one day, I'll be able to push Tiffany on a swing like this and hear her laughing' Steven thought to himself as he pushed the little girl on her swing as the fading afternoon sun was slowly moving towards twilight.

The day wore on, swinging lasted for more then an hour, before more pressing interests took over, games of ball and tag, sand castles and bubbles filled their day, until the sun began to set and it was time to go in. As 6pm rolled around, the sound of the garage door opening could be heard as Charley's parents had finally come home. As they came into the living room, they found Charley and Steven on the sofa watching a cartoon movie.

"Hi Charley, did you have fun today" her mom said, putting her purse down.

"Mommmmy!" Charley squealed, running towards her mother and jumping into her waiting arms as she gave her daughter a kiss.

"I missed you so much, were you a good girl today?" she asked.

She then stopped for a moment thinking about that moment in the bathroom

"Charley?" her mother inquired

"She was a good girl, no trouble at all" Steven chimed in, coming over to greet her parents.

"Well that's a surprise" her dad said, setting down a grocery bag, "normally she can be quite a handful"

"Thanks again Steven for babysitting today" her mom said. "Were there any problems?"

"A few dirty diapers and a lot of running, but other then that, no" Steven replied.

Charly then hugged her mother with a happy face on her can he babysit me again she said

"Seems our little girl has taken quite a liking to you, young man" her Dad chuckled, ruffling her hair.

"I bet if you ask him nicely and promise to be good, he'll come back and see you" Mom said.

By now, it was getting on to dinner time and bedtime wouldn't be far behind for the little tot, their long day had come to an end, one that Steven wouldn't soon forget. They paid him for his time and thanked him again before seeing him to the door.

"Bye bye Charley" he waved to her. Charley reached her arms out towards Steven wanting to give him a hug, her Mom obligingly passed the girl over to him, which she immediately clung to him, wrapping her little legs around his waist. It was a warming moment for Steven to get such affection from a child as she hugged him, "There there sweetie, I'll come back and see you again", he patted her back.
