"The number of where we'll be is by the phone in the kitchen, as well as emergency numbers, there's food in the fridge, bandaids in the medicine cabinet, and extra diapers in her closet..........Oh, and make sure she takes her nap today, she gets fussy otherwise, we'll be back around six, thanks again Steven" Mrs. Blake rattled off instructions like a broken answering machine, before bidding her last goodbyes and she and her husband were out the door, as the house fell silent.

"Moms are like that" Tiffany casually said, tossing the tiara off her head "So now what?"

'Well, we've already played princesses, let's play doctor!" Tiffany beamed, as an idea was forming in the space between her pigtails.

Yay who should be the patient gasp let’s do the babysitter

"Great!.......Okay Steven, you be the patient, Charley can be the doctor, and I'll be her beautiful lovable secretary" Steven's stomach sank as he listened to Tiffany explain the game, normally he didn't mind playing along with the kids he babysat and being part of their games, but he had a sneaking suspicion that he was going to regret it this time.

(How so) don’t you want to be a nurse Charly asked Tiffany

(he thinks Tiffany is going to play a trick on him)

'Nope, I think I'd look cuter as a secretary, besides, someone has to write down everything the doctor says, and make a bill, plus check to see if the patient's insurance is covered by the AMA" Tiffany explained, twirling her finger around the end of her pigtail.

"That's oddly specific" Steven chimed in

"I read a lot of pamphlets when I'm at the pediatrician's office" she said, picking up a notepad off the floor that was covered in crayon scribbles.

"You go to a pediatrician? why don't you go to a regular doctor?" Steven inquired

"He gives out lollipops" she quipped

Steven should've figured the answer wasn't complicated, going to a baby doctor would make sense for Tiffany, as odd as she was, even for something as simple as getting a free sucker. She really was one of a kind.

Ok now first let’s take his temperature

Tiffany shivered at the thought "Brrr, I always hate it when my Mom takes my temperature, especially when she forgets the Vasaline and puts it in dry, it always makes my butt feel funny" Tiffany bent over, mimicking having her temperature checked, while Charley and Steven both looked dumbfounded at her explanation. "Um, never mind"

"I think she meant with a regular thermometer Tiffany" Steven said, holding up the plastic toy instrument, as he sat down on the ground in front of Charley. Tiffany blushed.
