Unofficial RP Discussion Thread

I haven't seen any threads here regarding talking about the current RPs taking place as of yet, so I decided to make one myself. So yeah, here is the place where you talk about your favorite(and not so favorite) RPs that are still in the works. And PLEASE respect each others opinions.
I personally favor one of my own RPs, called Nobodies Child. It's a mixture of romance, yuri, adorableness(sp?), and you'll love it if you like NamineXLarxene pairing, or if you want to read something involving pregnacies.

I'd suppose its what you like.. personally, I really like:

Fallout Legacies, for its action, and closley based story/game plot. All the RPers are doing a wonderfull job using detail, the ones that are still in it, anyways.

From Teacher to Daddy: I really love the plot and idea of this one. Very interesting. Very 'one-liner'ish though.

And since its my favorite Anime, i do love the Code Geass rp im in with Ace. Just my personal preference.

Last but not least, i really like The Reform, with Pyroh and DiaperedSakura25 because of the plot and use of detail.

Well, I got three rps that I'm involved in.

One rp going on that I find myself surprisingly attracted to is this one: Poke'mon: Changed at the Start. Rp'ers are DiaperCharm and TBBayLee. Basically a rewrite of the series with Misty starting her journey in Pallet Town with Ash, and has a rival. Good grief. This is a pretty tough call. Well... Out of stuff I have been a part of, I'd have to say
New Arrival for Auntie was my favorite. However, as auntie's been vanished for a long while, it's on a bit of an indefinite hiatus. The synopsis for what we had so far ran along the lines of a genetic defect, returning seventeen year old Joseph, to the form of a one year old babe over the span of months.

Can't say I've really been looking over others, however Mistress and Sami have been always runnin' right ahead of me in quality here on this site. Twas a pleasure with Sami and Saturn in Wicked Wicked Witches, though I do think there was more to be done.

I pearsonally liked one of my earlier rps Bounty hunter x and the sequal return of the gang I believe

Okay. There's gotta be more people who wanna talk about this. I'll start off again, but only this time I'll say what RPs I hate:

I hate all RPs with no story, terrible grammer and spelling, and just plain stupid or unoriginal overall. Urz turnz!!! (Seriously, though...)

'What more to lose' has been nice to read so far, I hope the quality continues.
Appart from that I havn't really read anything else much, most things I glance have no effort put into writing them so I don't see why I should put any effort into reading them.

RP hates? Hmm, well for one would be users that RP here as bed wetting teenage girls when they are quite obviously guys with a fetish. I'm not saying people shouldn't be allowed to RP whatever they desire here but thats one thing that really puts me off, especailly when they write in such a skeleton fashion that it's obvious they want to jump straight to diapering the afformentioned female character/s.

Otherwise I'm actually not so fussed about bad grammer or spelling, I've been a bad speller (I'm alittle dyslexic) all my life and I've got through my education rather successfully so far, the important thing for me is that regardless of a writer's relative writing skills, they are always putting the effort in and have the will to take critism in order to improve.

I guess another pet annoyance of mine would actually be character sheets. I mean I understand they are very useful in a sense because it imediately establishes the characters before the story begins. However I'm abit of a traditionalist in that I think that a character is something the reader should have the enjoyment of discovering for themselves as they progress through the story.
My main reason for hating character sheets though is the silly details people put in i.e. the clothing characters wear (and some really go to unessicary length in description) seriously no one wears the same outifit every single day.
One section I've also seen in a character sheet is 'likes' and 'dislikes', just the thought actually makes me cringe, I mean why does that information need to be included, are these characters being interested in checking their compatiblity for some cheesey internet dating site or something?

I'm going to do alittle satired character sheet of my own to illustrate the point,

Name: Terra (I grant you the joy of guessing my surname)
Age: Old enough to have boobs but young enough to still fit a pair of pampers for a horny man's entertainment.
Apprence: A black dress which has fossilised and fused to skin because I never take it off.
Likes: Reading anything people push under my nose so long as it has some appeal.
Dislikes: The silly parts in character sheets.

In conclusion I think doing a character sheet is a useful thing for a writer to have on a peice of paper somewhere, as an outline of a character they can refer to and they can be handy for explaining the context into which a story begins, however they should not be considered as adequete character description on their own with no further development throughout the story, unless of course you want to create a very two dimensional reading experience not disimilar to a childrens cartoon.
