Alex rolled his eyes and groaned, yanking the rattle from his mom. "Okay fiiiiine!" He fussed. He shook the rattle a few times, enjoying the sounds more and more. After a bit he quickly put it down and crossed his arms, looking up at his mother. "There i played. Happy?" He said. Alex let out a sigh as he stared at the floor in defeat.

"Well it's a start," Amber smiled, giving the boy a few headpats before returning to the sofa, sitting herself down. Though she would be satisfied if Alex would start enjoying the toys. Oh well, the woman would have all summer for that to happen. However Alex was reacting to all of this was super adorable to her so she can enjoy that in the meantime.

Alex realized he wasn't going to be getting out of his playpen for a bit. He decided to make the most of his time in there. After looking around at the toys that surrounded him, he grabbed one. It was a toy that taught animal sounds such as dogs, cats, cows, roosters, wolves, and a few more. His eyes lit up a bit as he pushed the cow button and listened and watched the toy come to life with pretty lights, and sound. A small smile crept across his face as this happened.

Amber would be watching her son play with the toys and as soon as that smile formed on the boy's face one would form on her own. Of course she said nothing yet. Amber wanted to make sure that Alex was really enjoying his time in the playpen before she would make a comment about it.

Alex continued to play with the toy for a bit. His smile grew as he listened to the fun animal noises. He really enjoyed the lights and sounds it played. Alex felt himself begin to slip into little space. He then switched to a toy that taught numbers. It only went up to 10, but he didn't mind that. He giggled as he listened to the song each number played as he pushed the buttons.

Amber was really smiling, glad to see that Alex was already acting like the little she wanted her to be. Since the boy was gonna be a bit preoccupied with the toys the woman would find this a perfect opportunity to get up and head for the kitchen to get some lunch ready.

Alex continued to play with the number toy as his mommy began to make lunch. He even giggled at the pretty lights and sounds it played. After a bit he began to play with a toy that taught shapes. He easily put the correct shapes in their proper holes over and over again.

Amber smiled hearing the sounds coming from the living room. She was actually a bit surprised how easily Alex just went into his little space like that. The woman thought she had to spend at least the first two days getting that done. About 15 minutes passed and Amber returned to the living room. "Time for lunch," she smiled, picking Alex right up.

Alex was pretty lost in having fun so Amber suddenly picking him up startled him. He jumped a bit but relaxed in his mother's arms. "So uhh... What's for lunch, mom?" He asked, looking at her. His face went red with embarrassment as he saw the high chair he was going to be out in. "Mom please don't put me in that!" Alex fussed, squirming in her arms a bit.
