"Remnant? Is that the world you came from? Anyway, sooner or later you'll have to get employed somewhere but for now I think it'll be for the best if you focus your efforts on learning about this world. Otherwise you might be deemed too weird to get a job or something." Nicole told Weiss as she stood back up and causally looked around the room.

Weiss gave a curt little nod to Nicole's question about Remnant. "It is.." Weiss stated softly as she seemed to relax on the couch a little bit more. "Right.. is there a library of some sort I can search to learn more?" Weiss asked curiously. She then looked around the room as well.

It seemed to be a small living room, having only the bare necessities of a couch, two chairs, some end tables, and a platform with a TV on it. "Well the city has a library, but it's getting late into the day so I don't think we'll be able to head there for today. There's also the internet to look on, I have a laptop if you want to use it." Nicole told Weiss as she waited to see what she would tell her next.

"The internet?... a laptop?.." Weiss asked curiously. "Well.. if it will help me gather the information I need, it sounds far simpler if it can be done from this couch.." Weiss mused, clearly intrigued about the things Nicole had mentioned.

"Well I guess it would be best to show you. Stay here." Nicole told Weiss as she went into her room. A few seconds later she came out carrying a gray laptop with stickers of anime characters on it. "This is a laptop." She told Weiss as she sat down next to Weiss, opened it, and turned it on.

Weiss nodded, though she folded her arms at the order of being told not to leave her current position, however she was the guest. "Hmmm, just seems like a less advanced version of a scroll.. " Weiss mused as she pulled hers out and expanded the transparent tablet like device. "Oh wow.. no service at all.. I guess that's not really surprising.." Weiss watched carefully as the computer booted up.

"That's a scroll? I don't know what it's like but it's kinda like a smartphone." Nicole told Weiss as she took her smartphone out of her purse and showed it to Weiss as they waited for the laptop to boot up.

"Yes it is... " Weiss stated as she sighed and folded it back up, putting it away for now. She looked curiously at the device and reached out to hold it.
