According to an owner of a company that administers multiple forums, the settings for cookie timeouts is set within the vbulletin admin panel (See the following article ->
https://www.quora.com/What-is-the-tr...in-based-forum). If the settings were updated so that cookies uploaded to client computers whenever members log in expire after three days (72hours) then there is not much you can do about it. I recall that a few months ago this site's former main Administrator, Xero, mentioned in the Shoutbox that he made some "Changes" (He didn't go into details) that were designed to increase user participation among those members that have less than ten posts (i.e. - "Probationary members"). Perhaps decreasing the timeout settings for those particular users' cookies was one of those changes (i.e. - Those users would have to manually log in so that they can view the latest posts in the site be it in the gallery, forum threads or PMs and VMs). One way to test that theory is for you to make more than ten posts (You could post pictures, make comments in the gallery and/or make posts in any of the threads in the forum [FYI - RPing in the Creative Area also earns you post count which explains why some peeps here have large post counts - In the tens of thousands for those that have been members here for many years and in the thousands for those who are newer members. Those are usually the RP'ers in this site.]) which would make you a Junior member and then see if you still still experience the same situation.
Personally, whenever I visit here, I log in here with the "Remember Me" checkbox checked, go about doing whatever I came to do and then log myself out, freeing another "slot" in the system. I can understand why that for some of the peeps here that RP, staying logged on for a long time is necessary but even an indefinite duration seems excessive and may even take up system resources, possibly causing this whole site to slow down at times (Think of it this way - Let's say the system currently has 350 active members logged in. Some of the cores in the webhost server's CPU(s) have to go to each one of the 350 forum members one by one in turn and poll each one of the member accounts for user requests [e.g. - CPU cores to Member account: "What do you require of the system?" Member account: "I want to navigate to the gallery"]. If no one logs out and even more members log in, eventually the total amount of member accounts that the dedicated cores have to each poll in turn increases, taking up CPU processing resources. If this amount reaches peak levels, this site may begin to slow down from a given member's perspective (Since it will take longer to go around and poll through the increased total number of the member accounts before returning to poll the given member account again) with page loads taking more time to happen with each refresh (I've seen this site slow down on some occasions when there's "Heavy traffic"). Since you only have less than ten posts (Two posts at the time of this writing), it's obvious that you don't RP (Also, your username says it all), so I don't see the reason why you need to stay logged in here indefinitely. Why not just log in whenever you want to, see/save the pictures (New and/or old) that you want and then log out, freeing another "slot" in the system? In that way, you and all the other members who stay logged in indefinitely would not be contributing to the problem of possibly slowing down this whole site.
