Zootopia: The Padded Predator Policy (private with Chancellor Castro)

Miss Jeri smiled at Nick, nodding and urging him to the front of the classroom. "I know we've discussed some of the differences between predators and prey before. Predators have sharp teeth called fangs that make it possible for them to eat meat, like fish and bugs." She placed her hand on Nick's cheek, spreading his lips and rubbing one of his fangs. "Whereas prey only have flat teeth, for grinding fruits and vegetables."

Felicia opened her mouth, grinning proudly and showing off her teeth.

"But that's not the only thing that's different between us. Predators think differently from prey too. A long, long time ago, predators even tried to eat prey. Back then, predators and prey couldn't live in harmony the way we do now. But with modern tools and technology, we created ways for predators and prey to live in peace. Like the TAME belt. I'm sure you've noticed that Nick and the other predators in your class all wear a special belt that makes it so that they can't remove their nappies. Does anyone know why this is?"

Several hands shot up.

"I heard it's because pred pee smells really bad!" one kid, a goat, shouted.

"No, it's because they have super large dongs!" shouted a rat.

Miss Jeri blushed and shook her head. "No, that's not quite it. Nick, do you know why you wear a TAME belt?"

[Bellhart]

"Uh, to help me behave?" he answered as he fidgeted.

He felt another cramp go through him and tried not to react to it. He was going to have to poo soon,and it was going to be a big one.

Most of all he hoped Miss Jeri didn't notice the yellow light on the front of the belt.

His first warning shock was probably only seconds away, but he wasn't about to mess in front of the whole class!

"That's exactly it, to help you behave," Jeri said, patting Nick on the head. "Predators still have lots of feral instincts that need to be controlled. One of these instincts is called 'marking', where a predator feels the urge to leave their scent on things they think belong to them. And I'm sure you can guess how they leave that scent, if we prevent it by making them wear a nappy."

A chorus of "Ew!"s came from the prey students. The other predator students mostly just blushed.

Nick was caught off guard when Jeri suddenly groped the front of his nappy. "If you look closely, children, you can see that Nick's nappy is wet. He made his scent in his nappy like a good predator, so it all gets neatly contained and Mrs Shelly can come and clean him up later." It was while she was doing this that she noticed the yellow light on Nick's belt. "I'm sure Nick here can explain how the belt works just as well as I can. For instance, see this yellow light on it? Why don't you explain to the class what that means, Nick."

Nick blushed when Jeri called him a good predator. He didn't like it when he was put in the spotlight, but she was still a kind teacher, and he liked getting praise from her.

Reassured slightly by her warm smile. He stammered out an answer.
"W-w-well it help to keep me reg - ught!" he was cut of by a large and loud cramping sound from his gut that he was sure the entire class could hear.

He just wanted it over with now.

"A-a-and the light on the belt changes colour to tell me when I need to go pott - OW!"

He squealed slightly as the belt gave him his first warning shock.

It was enough of a distraction to stop Nick in his tracks, and he forgot the rest of what he was going to say.

There was an awquard silence for a few moments before Jeri took over the situation.

"I think what Nick is trying to say is that the light is there to remind him that he needs to use his nappy. One of the most important things a predator can do to control their instincts is to learn to pay attention to their body signals. Not to mention, if a predator isn't regular, they can get antsy. So when the belt detects that a predator has to, you know, go, it turns this light yellow to remind them to just let it out. Since we know that Nick already made pee in his nappy, the belt must be telling him that it's time to make something else in his nappy instead. If the predator still doesn't go in his nappy, the belt will remind them, with a gentle electric tingle. I'm sure Nick knows how to make that light green again."

She knelt down and lowered her voice. "Nick, are you feeling alright?" she asked him. "Why are you holding it in? You know that's not healthy."

"I-I-I know" he whispered back. He didn't like disappointing Mrs Jeri, especially when it came to diaper belts. Nick had always modeled himself as the perfect student, gladly obeying the belt and going when it told him too - after all, the more he obeyed, the more he proved himself ready for potty training, right?

But this was different. He desperately needed to poo, but he was in front of the entire class. Although he was getting some sympathetic looks - namely from Finnick and Felicia. He was getting a lot more snickers and whispers, mainly from the prey animals.

He looked back up at Mrs Jeri. "It's just the whole class is looking, and they make fun of me for it!"

He winced as a second, more powerful shock went off.

He hoped she could see the desperation in his eyes.

"Please don't make me make stinkies in front of them!" he begged, already knowing what answer his futile plea would be met with. Jeri might have been a kindhearted soul, who loved all children, Prey and Predator alike. But she was also a sticker for the rules. Especially rules she wholeheartedly believed were in place to help preds like Nick.

Miss Jeri felt bad for preds like Nick; she really did. He was only a child; he couldn't understand the long history between preds and prey that made this possible. She got down on her knee and gently held Nick's shoulder.

"The class won't make fun of you, Nick, I promise. You're only doing what you're supposed to do. Predators need to use their nappies. And if you're not comfortable using your nappies in front of prey, what are you going to do when you're an adult and your mommy can't change your dirty nappies anymore? You'll need to go to a changing room, and your changer is probably going to be a stranger. If you're going to be in nappies your whole life, you should be getting used to using them in public now, when you're surrounded by friends." She squeezed his hand and rubbed his shoulder. "Besides, I'm sure it's not very much fun holding in your poop like that. Wouldn't you rather just let it out? You'll feel better."

"My whole life!" Nick cried out in shock. But this revelation could wait for more pressing needs. After a third rather painful shock, he realised there was no avoiding destiny. He leaned forward, before squatting down entirely, facing away from the class. His little fox paws clenched tight as he started to grunt.

"Ungh! Umph!" He audibly sounded, as the class got a front row seat to watch him soil himself like a good predator.

Slowly, a baloon like buldge appeared, slowly growing as the back of the school issue nappy expanded and tinged a shade of brown. Nick pushed wave after wave of poop out of his backside and into the waiting nappy, in one of the biggest poops of his short life so far, easily outdoing Finnick.

Unbenowst to nick, his slight observation at the size of his oatmeal meal was no coincidence. Miss Jeri herself had been a part of the school consultation and decision to alter the meals preds got. Not maliciously of course, just mandating that they had to be realatively high fibre meals, which would then be laced with both a bulk builder and stool softener, to help Pred children to go and be regular about it. In miss Jeri's view it was a small but vital part in helping preds get ready for a life in nappies.

After what seemed like aeons, Nick finally finished, and awquardly stood back up and turned around, the massive buldge and smell impossible to ignore.

He looked to Mrs Jeri for aproval. He knew she'd likely praise him for being a good pred, but would probably also have some more humiliating demonstrations ready for him.

Finnick was leaned forward in his seat, as far as he could go, his jaw agape as he watched his friend out-poop him for the first time ever. He was seriously impressed, jealous even.

Felicia simply turned away and held her nose. Since she was the last prey in the class to potty train, she was all too familiar with the stench of a soiled nappy, and wasn't pleased to be getting a reminder of it.

"Very good, Nick," Miss Jeri said quietly. "See? No one is making fun of you. Using your nappy is exactly what good predators are supposed to do. And doesn't that feel better now?" Of course, while none of the students were making fun of him right now, Nick probably knew they would tease him as soon as the teacher's back was turned. "Now, we should probably get you out of that, right? Pay attention, class, because this is how predators who have used their nappies can get changed."

She lifted Nick down and set him on her desk, the contents of his diaper squishing against his rump. "Predators can't remove their TAME belts themselves, and without that, they can't change their nappies. Only approved caretakers with a key can remove the belts. As a minor, Nick's caretakers are his parents, and school staff. Once he becomes an adult, he can hire a private changer, or visit one of Zootopia's many public changing facilities. Many workplaces also have their own changing rooms and staff. Now lay down, honey, and we'll get you in a nice clean nappy in a jiffy."

Nick squirmed as the mess mashed into his rump. He was beyond embaressed at this point, but there was little he could do. He was still concerned about what Mrs Jeri had said about being in nappies for life. He probably would have been enjoying his soiled nappy otherwise.

He wasn't looking forward to this public changing. He knew that he was going to be restrained thouroughly, and Mrs Jeri would give a detailed description of the change itslef.

She'd probably also explain the other functions of the belt, like the readout that measured his bladder and bowel status, as well as the state of the nappy itself.
