An Unexpected Encounter- a Tiffany sidestory

Summer days had once again come to the little town of Belview, days were warm, twilight came late, and best of all, school was out. These were the days of endless playtime for children, for teenagers to goof off, for catching fireflies and hanging out at the lake, for grass stains and ice cream cones, summer loves and camp fires, but it was also time for summer jobs.

Steven was a well known babysitter around town in spite of him being a boy and facing competition from the girls at his high school, e was trusted and well liked. It was the third week of June and the end of the school year was a not so distant memory in his mind, as Steven drove to a new client's house for another day of babysitting. Nearing mid-morning, the streets were sparsely occupied with cars, and the sleepy little town was abuzz with sounds of a different sort, parks were packed with children and parents, caravans of old cars made their way up to Mirror Lake for a day of fun in the sun, and the local cinema was lined with the opening of a new movie.

'Business as usual' Steven thought to himself, but it wasn't the only thought on his mind. She was still there, and so was that night, a night that changed his life, possibly the best night he had ever had in his young life. Tiffany, she was on his mind.

They hadn't gone out again since that night, although they had seen each other around school and even hung out a few times with friends, but never alone. The night hadn't ended badly, and his cheek still burned with the kiss she planted on it, but something still felt awkward, something in her eyes was different, Tiffany was a funny girl, he could never figure what she was thinking, one minute she's acting like a happy playful child, the next her mood does a one eighty and she becomes calm and stoic. Whatever it was, it would have to wait for another day, she was probably busy today anyways, going to the movies, shopping downtown for summer clothes, or swimming down at the river, like most teenage girls would be doing.

Steven arrived at his destination, his mother had set up the job today with one of her friends who needed a babysitter for the day, it was good money and it was only one little girl who was about three years old, luckily the younger ones were easier to deal with, the only downside was that it was going to be all day, as the parents said they wouldn't be back until early evening, so his whole day was going to be shot. Steven sighed with annoyance at the thought of blowing a whole day of his summer break hanging around with a toddler, but her steadied himself and pressed the doorbell.

A young woman in her early thirties answered the door, she wore a sleeveless summer dress and her auburn hair was pulled back in a youthful ponytail, she was pleasant and attractive as any young mother might be.

"Hello, you must be Steven, your mother told me all about you, please come in" ushering Steven into her home "I'm Wendy Blake, I'm so glad you were able to come watch our little Charlotte today...............she's in her room right now playing with one of her little friends from daycare, but don't worry she's only staying for a few hours today then leaving, I hope that's not going to be too much trouble for you"

She lead Steven down the hallway and around the corner to a small sunlit pink bedroom, decorated in a unicorn motif, it looked much like any typical toddler room would be, toys strewn about the floor, the smell of talcum powder and aloe scented baby wipes drifted in the air, a crib on one wall, a changing table on another, and there in the middle of the room was a little blonde curly haired girl, dressed in a pair of denim shorts and a yellow gingham top with white puffy sleeves, she was wearing a half put on princess dress that was open at the back and crumpled at the front, exposing her legs. Steven nearly went into shock, his heart jumping up into his throat as he saw standing next to the little girl, wearing a pink tutu and plastic tiara was none other then Tiffany. Both girls stopped as they entered the room, Tiffany at the realization of just who Charlotte's babysitter was going to be today her mouth hung open in bewilderment as she made eye contact with Steven and a very long and awkward moment passed between the two.

"Hi girls, I wanted to introduce you to Steven, he's the nice young man who is going to be babysitting you today" Wendy beamed with a cheery smile, oblivious to the reaction between the two teenagers.

Yeah I already know Tiffany he said to the mother sooooooooo. You go to daycare with her huh Steven said to tiffany

Tiffany remained motionless for a moment before snapping back to reality as she shook her head, blinking her eyes, and realizing this wasn't a dream, the guy she had gone out with, the one she had dry humped on Lover's Lane, and the one she had had her first orgasm with was standing right in front of her, and was not only going to be Charley's babysitter, but hers as well.

"Oh, um...............yeeeah, she's a regular at Sunny Days, and I go there after school sometimes when I'm bored" Tiffany managed to stammer out, trying not to look embarrassed.

'What he hell is HE doing here? Mrs. Blake said she was going to be having a babysitter come over today to watch Charley, but I didn't think it was going to be Steven! I am SOOOO screwed right now' Tiffany thought to herself

"Oh, you two know each other?" Wendy asked innocently

"We go to the same school Mrs. Blake" Tiffany replied out of the corner of her mouth, drawing an uncomfortable attention to the fact that Charlotte's playmate and her babysitter were the same age.

"Oh............how nice!" she beamed in a motherly tone, as soon as she put two and two together, a confused look on her face.

"I'm sure" she half-heartedly, looking away.

Meanwhile, the little curly headed tot next to her had been starring up at the adults as the conversation was literally going on over her head. Steven noticing this, bent down to say hello to the little girl, which she promptly hid behind Tiffany's legs, clinging tightly as she peeked out. Charlotte was at that unfamiliar stage in the terrible twos, where she didn't like being around people she didn't know and would often throw fits when encountering new things. Tiffany on the other hand was her friend and she thought of her as a big sister, seeking security and reassurance from her as she would from her parents.

"It's okay Charley, come on out, Steven is nice, we play together at school, just you and me play together at daycare" Tiffany said, stroking the little girl's head and trying to coax her out.

Oh o-ok tiff Charly said slowly uncovering herself

"Say hi!" Tiffany said, ruffling her hair and giving her a smile.

Still hanging onto Tiffany's leg, she gave a small wave and squeaked out a "Hi"

"Charlotte, you be a good girl for Steven today and listen to what he says, and I want the both of you(pointing to Tiffany as well) to behave yourselves today, Understood?" Wendy said as she bent down to give her daughter a hug.

"Yes Mrs. Blake" Tiffany said
