Neko Adoption (A private rp for Me and ToddlerMarissa)
(If you're okay with it, I'd like to make my character out as a relatively young adult/old teen who's not really experienced with taking care of kids, but ya know... he'll learn and everything whilst making a few mistakes, if that's fine with you :P I don't know I kinda want to get creative with my character and his backstory while creating some sort of self conflict in the story. I didn't want to make it a cliché story, or have him be a perfect parent... far from it, if that's okay with you I'm really kinda stepping out of my comfort zone with this character and plot so not sure howgood i'll be but I really hope I do good. Please give me any positive/negative feedback so I can hopefully become a better rp'er, and more enjoyable to rp with. Sorry for rambling, let's get to it!)
Jack looked down at his phone, before glancing up at the door. He sighed as he folded the papers up and shoved them into his back pocket, before holding the door for a woman pushing a stroller. She thanked him before heading into the parking lot, probably heading to her car. He still couldn't believe he was actually coming here... He put on a smile as he walked in, hit by a wall of warm air. It was a pleasant change to the chilly air and merciless wind that winter continually barraged them with. As Jack walked up to the main desk, he put on his usally expression of swagger and confidence, and leaned up against the main desk, smiling at the woman.
"Hi, how are ya? My name's Jack, and I'm coming to ah... inquire (Is that a fancy word)? Haha, so I'm coming to inquire about adoption?" He finished with a smile, scratching the back of his head.

"Ah yes," the man at the counter nodded with a smile. "We have a large variety of nekos available for adoption. Please, come this way, and I'll show you," the man gestured with his hand, leading Jack to their neko collection.
As Jack walked through the collection of nekos, he would see a large variety of nekos with a variety of heights, weights, and even fur color. One of these nekos was a girl named Sera, with brown fur, brown paws, a brown tail, and light green eyes. Sera was 6 years old, but had the mental maturity of a two year old, so she couldn't speak and was stuck in diapers.
At the moment, Sera was sucking on her paw cutely, wearing just a diaper.

"Alright..." Jack said, following the man. He looked at the various pens and areas for the nekos... he was very confused with all this. He barley knew what a neko was... sure, he seen some on the streets or around, they just weren't all too common in Boston... they had-had some at college, but... he hadn't stayed there very long. He had gone on to the NHL Draft, and had been the overall First round draft pick for the Boston Bruins. And one of the things the Bruins did for Charity benefited these nekos and helped find them a home. The GM had thought it would be best if the potential Bruins Rookie All-star would demonstrate his consideration and generosity, as well as improve the team image by adopting a neko. Jack was so happy to be playing for the Bruins, he had agreed to it almost immediately. Besides, he loved kids, and was great with them. He had always been great with his younger siblings, and his older siblings had (probably inadvertently) taught him how to be a good older brother... he knew that adopting a child would be a lot different, but his experience as a brother defiantly would help. As they entered an area, a bunch of the kids ran over to him, and tugged on his Jersey. Since he was showing up and was doing this on behalf of the Boston Bruins, he wore his game Jersey. He saw a few of his other teammates in the area t=as well, and he waved to them. He got on his knees and greeted a bunch of the kids... it made him sad to think they didn't have families. He saw a little girl sitting a few feet away, and smiled at her, and walked over to her, a bunch of the other nekos in tow.
"Hi Honey, what's your name?" He asked kindly.

When Jack walked into the collection room, Sera stared at him in wonder. He was a lot younger than most of the aides at the center, and a lot stronger looking too. Sera couldn't help staring at his muscles because she had never seen anything like them before, neither on a neko nor on a human.
When Jack walked over to Sera and asked for her name, she shyly responded "Sewa". This was one of the few questions that Sera could understand though, so Jack would have a hard time geting more info out of her.

While Jack was fit, toned, and strong, he was far from a body builder. He was lean, and cut, physically fit and muscular, but not bulging with muscles. With his stubble, "Hockey flow" hair cut, and build, he looked at least in his late twenties, rather than having just turned 20. He looked at her with his brown eyes, and smiled.
"That's a very pretty name Sera..." He said, able to decipher her speaking. He had had a lot of practice with understanding little kids, having to do so with his younger siblings his whole life.
"Do you like it here Sera?" He asked with a smile.

Sera didn't really understand Jack's question, so she just mewed in response to it. It was clear that she didn't have a lot of education at the adoption center and that Jack would have quite a bit to teach her.
"Sewa go away?" Sera asked Jack. The reason she was asking was because, as Sera understood it, whenever a strange looking person came into the center, a neko would go away.

He smiled at Sera, and nodded.
"I'll see what I can do." He said, winking at her. He stood up, and signed a few autographs for the kids. He made sure he sighed something of everyone's. I wouldn't take to long, and he was making these kids day. He smiled, talking to a few of his teammates as he sighned shirts and papers and hats, handing the hats out to the kids. He doubted any of them knew who he was, and he doubted that they knew most of the players. Sure, they knew the big names. But the season had just started, and he had only played in the pre-season games. Their regular season started in a few days, and hopefully he would get a start. He walked back over to the man and smiled at him, looking over to Sera.
"Can you tell me about her?" He asked smiling.

"Ah, her," the man at the counter said, with a touch of sadness in his voice. "Physically, she is 6-years-old, but she's at the mental level of a 2-year-old due to an unfortunate condition she was born with. The condition is curable, but it would take a lot of work and dedication to do so. Unfortunately, the amount of work involved in raising Sera tends to turn a lot of people off from adopting her."
"Sorry for rambling, young man," the man at the counter said with a chuckle. "Is there anything else I can help you with?"

"Huh... well, thank you." Jack said, and smiled as one of his teammates, (just making somebody up here, don't wanna use anyone real like Bergeron or Chara or Erikson :P), Johannes Grettikson, number 56 who was a 2nd line forward (Right Wing) walked over.
"How goes everything?" His teammate asked in his heavy Swedish accent, and deep voice. Jack smiled, and shook his hand.
"Feels great to be helping out, ya know?" He said with a smile, and Grettikson nodded. "But... I don't know. One of the girls over there... She's kinda... slow, I guess, or something... and I feel bad, because she doesn't really have anybody here..." Jack said with a sigh. "What do you think?" Grettikson scratched his chin and shrugged.
"Hard choice. You do what you think right." Jack smiled and thanked him.
"Well, if I don't see you 'till Monday, have a good week." Jack said with a smile. He shook Grettikson's hand, and the man was off to sign more autographs. Jack went back over to the man, and smiled.
"Is she up for adoption?" He asked with a smile. "I'd love to see if she'd want to come stay with me."

"Well she is, but I'm warning you up front that raising Sera is going to be a lot of work. It will be very trying, especially for a young man like yourself. Will you be able to handle it?" asked the man at the counter.
Sera looked hopefully at Jack. If she was going away with anyone, she wanted it to be him. He may be strange to her, but he seems nice enough.
