Cream and Marine's Ring of Wishes

Tails was in his workshop, examining a ring under a microscope. He had spent the last week traveling across the world with Sonic and Knuckles, trying to track down the ancient artifact before Eggman could get his hands on it. They had found it, but none of them had any idea what it was, or what Eggman wanted with it. In order to stop whatever he was planning, they would have to figure out what the ring did. So Tails had taken it for studying.

The first thing Tails had done when he got home was call his friend Cream. He figured she was probably worried and would want to know when he was home safe. She'd probably want to pay him a visit.

[Liten]

Cream had been wondering about everything that was going on. She hadn't heard anything since all this stuff began in the first place. So when Tails called her over she was overjoyed to know that everything seemed to be all right for the most part. So she came over as soon as she could, not wanting to miss out on what Tails might have to tell her, and what was all going on right now.

Tails spotted Cream approaching the front door of the workshop on the security cameras, and he unlocked and opened the door without leaving his desk. If Cream was here, it meant he could take a break and spend time with her. He needed the break. He hadn't been able to discover anything about the ring. As far as he could figure out, it was just an ordinary ring.

As Cream came up to the door, she saw it open for her. Taking that as an invitation to enter, Cream went inside. "Tails? Tails, are you here?" Cream said as she came in, wondering if Tails was here, or if this place was simply acting on it's own accord for some reason, with all of Tails's inventions and such, it wasn't too hard to believe that something might just be responding to her being here in the first place.

"In here, Cream!" Tails called from deeper in the building. "Watch your step." He hadn't cleaned up, and there was mechanic debris all over the place.

He'd been so busy he hadn't thought much about what we was going to do with Cream.

[Liten]

Cream began to make her way deeper into Tails's place, being careful to step over, or in some cases where the mess seemed to be quite large, fly over the pieces of machinery strewn about the place. Heading towards the voice she heard calling her further inside. Tails was usually a bit more neat about his work areas, Cream wondered what could have distracted Tails so much as soon as he got back, well, she would find out shorty, hopefully.

Tails put his tools away but left the ring on the table.

"Sorry, Cream," he said as she approached. "I guess I got carried away. What's going on?"

(Maybe this wasn't the best way to start this? It's a lot of scene-setting for what essentially amounts to her getting her hands on the ring. I'm just going to try and move through it quickly.)

[Liten]

As Cream came up to him, she seemed a bit peeved. "What's going on? You and everyone else has been gone for practically way too long, and I come here to see you after the fact and you're asking me whats going on? Tails, what was going on, and why is everything such a mess around here?" Cream asked him, curious to know what was going on with everything.

Tails scrambled around the room, putting tools away so that he wouldn't seem like such a mess in front of Cream. "Sorry, sorry," he said. "It's just been kind of crazy, you know? Beating Eggman is more important than keeping things clean." He cleaned off a place where they both could sit. He was just wearing a pair of white briefs. "So how's your mom?" he asked.

[Liten]

Cream watched as Tails seemed to scramble about in a sort of hectic manner. She knew something was up here. "Tails, I came all the way here to ask you what was going on and you want to know how my mom is? Whats wrong? What aren't you telling me?" Cream said adamantly. Not happy with all these hoops she had to jump through just to get one question answered after all.
