The door pushed open and a drunken mare stumbled through the door. Her purple shades strewn haphazardly in her mane, Vinyl stumbled towards her room. Ugh... St-Stay still hallway... Two more... Three... Steps... It took her awhile, but she finally found her way. Vinyl strode through the door and immediately tripped, falling straight on her bed. "Yaaaay...." With that, she blacked out.

The morning came without the telltale headache of a hangover the alabaster mare expected. Sunlight wavered in her face which made her grumble. Who opened her curtains? She stapled those shut. Vinyl rubbed her eyes and turned over. Mmm... Her bed felt softer than normal. Great. Five more minutes. Or ten. Or thirty. One of her hooves moved back to scratch her flank absently.

Crinkle. Vinyl's eyes snapped open. That was not what she was expecting. She had been expecting the bars around her bed even less. Without the grogginess of sleep slowing her down, Vinyl sat up and grabbed the bars. What the...? More crinkles came from her flank. Just about that point, she noticed how much her legs spread apart. Vinyl looked down and took in the plastic garment encompassing her crotch. She was wearing a diaper.

Immediately, Vinyl yelled. "WHAT THE BUCK?!?!"

Octavia was currently downstairs having her breakfast. She was rather used to eating alone at this point. Despite what her friend believed, it was actually rather easy to get up in the morning if you didn't have a hangover. At hearing the sudden yell from upstairs though, she blinked and looked up in surprise. Normally, she was out for a few more hours after coming home drunk. Still, the gray earth pony couldn't help smiling to herself as she walked up to Vinyl's room, taking her time as her raven-black tail swung behind her.

Upon coming into the room, she immediately smiled and it took all the restraint she had not to laugh at her friend's position. "Well, good morning to you too, little Vinyl. Is something the matter?" she asked, her normal sophisticated tone replaced by one more sweet and motherly as she walked up to the crib her unicorn friend was sitting in, hoping her smile didn't show just how much she was enjoying this.

Vinyl stared at her little crisis with disbelief. A diaper?! Why the heck was she in a diaper? Why was she in a crib? What was going on? Vinyl rubbed her head trying to wrap her thoughts around it. She realized she didn't feel her glasses either. A quick look around revealed them laying on a dresser nearby. Definitely out of reach.

Then, Octavia walked in. Finally! Someone who had some sense! She could- What? Little Vinyl? Something the matter? "Heck yeah something's the matter! Why am I in a diaper?!" She was acting like this was perfectly normal! What happened last night? Vinyl remembered taking an extra drink after the show... Maybe two. Or... Maybe drinking last night wasn't a good idea.

Octavia smirked at her reaction, even if it was a bit over the top. "Now Vinyl, just relax." she said gently, smiling at her and reaching into the crib to playfully ruffle her mane. "I'm just taking care of you like any mother would. A little foal like you should be wearing diapers in case of accidents, and sleep in a crib so they don't hurt themselves." she explained, her speech almost sounding rehearsed. She then reached down as well and briefly felt the front of her diaper to check if she had any accidents, ignoring any protests from her friend.

Relax? Why should she relax? This was not something to be relaxed about. Vinyl frowned when Octavia ruffled her mane. Tavi was not supposed to do that. She was supposed to do that to Tavi! Then, Vinyl listened with mouth agape as Octavia 'rationally' explained why everything was happening. A foal?! She wasn't a foal! Vinyl Scratch was an adult! Then Octavia's hoof felt the front of her diaper. Vinyl blushed and tried to push her away. "D-Don't touch it!" Vinyl felt her bladder becoming a pressing problem, but she was more preoccupied with what was going on with Octavia.

"Come on, I'm a grown up! Let me out of here... This is stupid!" Vinyl forcefully crossed her arms. Unfortunately, a bit too much. Vinyl yelped and fell backwards, emptying her bladder like a foal...

Octavia had to admit that she was having fun caring for Vinyl already, if nothing else because of her admittingly cute reactions. She then blinked in surprise at her getting embarrassed over her diaper. "Vinyl, you don't need to be embarrassed. Who do you think put it on you in the first place?" she asked plainly, still smiling at her. She then blinked as she actually wet herself right after. Wow, the timing couldn't have been better. "And I don't think it is, because frankly, I am tired of your behavior. Being out late, coming home drunk. Frankly, my mother raised me to be better then that, so I decided that should work with you too." She then lowered the crib. "Now, let's get you changed out of that wet diaper." she added.

She wet herself? Ohhh... Octy was the one who did this? Because of her behavior? She heard of interventions, but this was ridiculous! Vinyl watched her lower the bars. Freedom? Nope. Octavia wanted to change her diaper. And, honestly? With how this thing felt, Vinyl didn't mind, even if it was extremely embarrassing. This was just some weird phase, right? Octavia just wanted a foal, or something, and maybe she had been drinking and thought to baby her. That was it, right? Or just some funny little punishment. In a few days, they'd be laughing about this...

Vinyl wasn't laughing right now.

Octavia smiled back at her expression before helping Vinyl out of the crib and leading her along, holding her hoof the entire time so she wouldn't fall, just like a foal. Admittedly, that would only be because of the diaper, but still. Since she'd let her out of the crib, Vinyl also noticed a few other additions to her room. Mostly the changing table she was leading her to that had foal supplies on it, including spare diapers. There was also some toys lying around for her, and she'd even set up a playpen next to Vinyl's stereo system! "Alright, up you go Vinyl." she said, smiling as she helped her lay on her back on the table.

Vinyl held a wobbly stance when she got to the floor. Stupid diaper... It was all wet and squishy, and it pushed out her legs! Vinyl held onto Octavia's hoof, only for support. She was not holding on to play along with this game! Her eyes scanned the room before she remembered her shades. She wiggled her free hoof towards the shades. "Octyyyyy! I want my shades!" However, Vinyl climbed up onto the table with Octavia's coaxing. That didn't stop her from wiggling her hooves more towards the purple glasses.

Octavia giggled at her wobbling as she helped her walk before rolling her eyes. "Vinyl, it's just a pair of sunglasses. You can have them back afterwards." she said before lightly swatting a stray hoof. "Now hold still while I change you." she said, taking the diaper off and putting it in the trash before cleaning off her friend with some wet wipes. She then powdered her already white flanks before putting her in a new clean diaper, closing it up over her crotch with another loud crinkle. "There, now does that feel better Vinyl?" she asked, smiling at her as she playfully patted her diapered front again.
