Motherly Magical Girl (private with Vyx)

To many, Homura Akemi was just an ice-cold transfer student. Only she knew the burden that she bore; she had to prevent Madoka Kaname from making a contract at all costs. She observed Madoka day in and day out, trying to protect her from the curse of being a magical girl. This burden took a heavy toll on Homura. Beneath her cool and aloof exterior, the girl was tired and stressed out, but but there was no one who could help her. 'I must fight this battle alone. For Madoka Kaname,' she thought as she walked home from school one day.

[Vyx]

"Homura." Tomoe Mami emerged from her apartment nearby, showing clear concern for the girl. "You don't look well, are you still after her?" She asked, taking a few steps closer. "I keep telling you, take a break. It's not good for your health."

Homura stopped in her tracks when she saw Mami approach. Mami was a magical girl, one who had recently saved Madoka and her friend Sayaka from a Witch attack. She made being a magical girl seem cool to Madoka. In other words, she was making Homura's job harder. "I don't need your concern, Tomoe," Homura said coolly, walking away with a flip of her hair. "I'm the only one that can protect her. "

[Vyx]

"Indeed you are, but even you deserve rest." She told her sternly, staring the girl in the eye. "Honestly, do you think you can protect her like this? You'll end up hurting yourself." Everything she'd said was true of course, even if she had multiple ulterior motives on the matter.

Homura halted. As much as she hated to admit it, Mami was right. She was feeling more fatigued as of late, and that was negatively affecting her Witch hunting performance. Still, she was suspicious of Mami's motives. "Why do you care about my well being all of a sudden? " Homura asked, her back to the slightly older girl. "Wouldn't it benefit you if I wasn't performing at my best? You'd be able to harvest more Grief Seeds."

[Vyx]

"Well, I do have a proposition for you. I'd like it if you came to my home, and we discussed it over tea." Mami told her, gesturing for Homura to walk with her. "I care about your well-being because I consider you a friend. And I've said this before, I hunt witches to keep people safe, and you are no exception."

[ToddlerMarissa]

'She...she thinks I'm her friend?' thought Homura. Mami sounded sincere enough, but Homura knew she couldn't let her guard down. Still, even if Mami's motives were suspect, her talk of a proposal sounded interesting. At the very least, Homura would get a nice tea break out of it. She turned on her heels and started walking towards Mami. "Alright Tomoe, I'm willing to hear you out," the black haired girl told Mami.

"A pleasure, Homura." She responded, smiling at the acceptance to her proposal. Mami began to walk back into her apartment building, gesturing for her friend to follow. She'd stashed many of her required materials for this event, all hidden from sight of course. She prayed that Homura would accept the proposal, however... different it was.

Homura wordlessly followed Mami back to her home, on her guard in the event of an attack. Mami hadn't tried to hurt her yet, but for all Homura knew, she was waiting until they both got to her house to ambush her. Trying to prevent that opportunity from arising, Homura waited for Mami to enter the house first. "After you, " Homura gestured to the open door, cold as ever.

Mami sighed, unlocking the door and heading inside. "Please, have a seat. I'll prepare some tea." She told her, pacing off to thr kitchen to begin her work. The apartment was fairly simple, yellow wallpaper with flowers and a generic house scene. Only thing out of the ordinary, was a clearly locked and probably forbidden closet.
