Fairytail - Lucy the disciplinarian!

After a long day of traveling home from their latest mission you would expect young Lucy Heartfila would be back at her apartment but no, rather she was back at her guild sitting in her masters office “sir I’m sorry to bother you so late but I think this really can’t wait. I’ve been thinking a lot lately about my fellow guildmates behavior and what punishment follows and frankly I don’t think it’s working.” She explained in a long sentence having just sat down Lucy was obviously very tired but she still felt she had to have this talk with their master.

Makarov Dreyar, the Guild Master of Fairy Tail was working in his office when Lucy Heartfilia entered. He stayed quiet, understanding how exhausted she was from her latest job, so he was open to her suggestion. "If you don't mind me asking, do you have any suggestions on how to improve the discipline system in this guild?" He asked the young Mage.

She nodded “I grew up around a home where if you did something wrong you were punished, usually very severely. My father was cruel about it but my mother... she would always keep to the theme that whatever I would receive was out of love and nothing else. As for specifics to what punishments, I would receive anything from spankings to grounding having my phone taken sent to bed early she even made me wear diapers for a week once. All in all I turned out well because of the strictness I grew up around and because my mother always followed through and made sure I felt safe with her. That’s the number one priority because if they don’t feel safe then they won’t learn.” She explained finally taking a deep breath after her long explanation.

Makarov thought about Lucy's ideas for a few minutes, wondering how these would be implemented. "Interesting idea, Lucy. As a father, I can understand the reasoning behind that." He replied with a smile. "How would you want to implement these ideas? What kind of rules do you want to enforce?" He asked.

She nodded “it’s really quite simple, the rules can be light or strict but the most important thing is to be consistent. Letting one person off the hook while the next is punished wouldn’t be fair nor would it work if the severity was all over the place. I would suggest finding one of the older members of the guild to take over as the fairytail disciplinarian, in charge of rules and discipline for our guildmates.” She explained nodding along with her explanation.

"If I'm being honest, I think you fit that description perfectly." Makarov replied. "You are a very mature woman, and you do have a habit of keeping Natsu and Gray in line. Would you mind being in charge of this new method of discipline for Fairy Tail?" He asked.

She blushed slightly and her eyes widened “I-I would be honored... over everybody? Even... Loxus?” She asked curiously having fantasized more than once of putting that brat in his place “and Mira and Erza?” She added wondering how this would go over with her team.

"As long as they misbehave, anyone goes." Makarov said. "The only condition is if you abuse your power, I might need to punish you as well." He explained.

She nodded “how would it work with wizards who are stronger than me, mostly meaning Loxus?” She asked curiously before she began to move to her feet and turn to exit the room “you think you could call a meeting tomorrow to make it official?” She asked curiously wondering if they would take her serious for this.

"If anyone like Laxus fights back, I will deal with them myself." Makarov replied firmly. "But don't worry, I'll call a meeting tomorrow."
