14 year old Mira Hoshi tagged along with her best friend to a abandoned factory which was rumored to be haunted "Tell me why you dragged me along you know i'm afraid of haunted places?"

"To prove too you once and for all that it's not haunted. There's no such thing as "haunted". Angie grumped, having explained it too her before they left. Angel Miyo (who went by Angie, since she wasn't fond of the little phrases people liked to dress around her name) stepped over a fallen branch on the abandoned road to the factory. The thing had been left dormant for as long as she could remember, always just sitting on the edge of town, the place collecting stories and myths quicker than it collected rust.

"Angie spun around and planted her foot, swishing her medium length brown hair about. "Don't tell me you're wanting to back out now, it's right there." She stated, pointing her finger off into the distance, the dark building nestled through trees and prefaced by more tarnished road.

The pinked haired teen shook her head "Ummm noooo I just want to make sure you don't get hurt."Just promise me we don't stay in there long we're just there to take a quick peak." she said shyly. Mira was known as a typical scaredy cat when it came to either bugs, heights, and scary stories.

"Oh, we'll be fine. The only things in that factory are dust and disappointment. Heck, I'd rather we actually find a ghost." Angie said, trudging forward down the road once again. Gusts of wind would drape by her school uniform occasionally as they walked.

Reaching the factory, the two girls circled around until they found a lucky break - An old tree seemed to have fallen atop part of the fence, crushing it in a bit. If they climbed over the top of this tree, they'd be able to get over the fence and into the perimeter - surely they'd be able to unlock it from in their when they went to leave. "Okay, you first Mira." Angie said, motioning for her friend to go on ahead.

If Angie was to be honest, no part of this felt fun; she was scared out of her wits. She had a bad habit of having to one-up those around her and being competitive, a quirk that had gotten her in trouble in more than one occasion. This time she'd made a huge deal about going out to this abandoned factory, which brought her (and Mira, to her misfortune) right here on the doorstep... Although it looked like they would be taking the side entrance.

Mira gulped as a small breeze slighty ruffled her skirt and slowly stretched her hand to open the door which was unlocked. Both girls walked in the pitched dark abandoned building "its so dark in here." reaching in her purse and took out a flashlight to make it easier to navigate "There thats a little better lets hurry up and explore this place so we can get outta here."

After the pair made it over the tree and up to the factory, Mira decided that she wanted to head on inside first. Angie tried to hide her nervousness as the door opened, the smell of dust and aged equipment filled her nose. ~"Maybe not ghosts, but a serial killer, or some sort of monster..."~ Angie's thoughts raced as she stepped inside.

The light flicking on spooked Angie a bit, but she was relieved to have it. "Y-yeah, lets..." She gently took the flashlight from Mira, trying to remain stoic and appear brave, but was panicking on the inside. She lead the march through the echoing doorways of the factory, until they got to the production center. As Angie shined the light into this place, she had a hard time imagining the scope of it from her angle on the floor. Unlike the section before which sort of reminded her of an abandoned hospital, the factory floor had her at least a little curios. What did they even do here?

"Come on" She said, a light echo following. She motioned for Mira to follow her, shining the light back and forth to check out the belts and gizmos that were seemingly all around them.

Mira nodded and followed Angie while moving her flashlight around "If only this place still had power?" motioning her flashlight around Mira stumbled on something on what looked like a long conveyor belt "It's some type of conveyor belt wonder where it leads to?" The pink haired girl turned to her best friend "Angie whatever you do please don't touch anything you have a bad habit of touching things without knowing what it does."

"What?" Angie said, having been playing with some levers and buttons she'd found just a few moments ago. She'd slapped her hands all over the darkened board, maybe trying to elicit a response, when suddenly little lights started to flash on it.

Angie nearly fell over from jumping up out of the control's seat when she heard a loud crashing sound, and then lots of whirring behind her... She turned around slowly to see what sort of damage she might have done, a cringed look on her face.

Miras hair stiffened "Angie!!! I told you not to touch anything now hurry up and figure out and turn off the machine before we get in trouble." With her focus on Angie she didn't realize someone or something was creeping up behind her.

Angie spun back around and sat back down in the seat, frantically smashing buttons and pulling levers again, trying to get it to stop... Whatever "it" was. How did this place still have juice, she wondered?

As she was pulling levers, she was neglecting a tiny console above her head that read "BOOT: SUCCESSFUL, PENDING A.I., REMOTE USER FUNCTIONS: DISABLED. A.I. FUNCTIONALITY: MINIMAL, PENDING FULL BOOT. OPERATIONS: REINITIALIZING...

Angie eventually gave up with the board of buttons and gadgets and got up once again, not really sure where Mira's voice was coming from throughout. Lights were just starting to flicker on throughout the place, which was nice, since she could return Mira's flashlight now... This wasn't the time to be thinking about that! She darted off in a direction, figuring she'd find something so long as she didn't loop around in cricles.

The lights were coming on slowly around Mira, who had decided to stay in place, not moving in case she'd trigger something else in the factory. From the dark a set of tendriled hands came from behind, not for her, but to pull a few levers and flip a little switch on the machinery next too her. A whirring could be heard as the belt started to slowly move...
