The tavern sits in one of the "borderlands" areas, between Equestria and one of the surrounding kingdoms, in this case that of the dragons. Despite the peace between all the kingdoms such places did tend to be rife with crime and unsavory dealings, not to mention unsavory characters like the Unicorn mare sitting at a table in the far left corner.

Crimson Net idling glances around the tavern, casually sipping her mug of cider. The muscular unicorn is wanted all across Equestria for poaching, specifically in the illegal pet trade. She is waiting for her partner to arrive as she just got a line on something that she thinks will set them for life.

Velvet walked in a while later. “So, what’s the plan?” She asked.

Upon seeing her partner, Velvet Snare, Crimson smirks and levitates her mostly empty mug away.

"I finally found us the big one, Velvet," Crimson says, pulling a letter from her satchel out. "We pull this off...we'll be 2 million bits richer."

“Ooh… I like the sound of that. Tell me more.”

[theJozza]

"Okay get this," Crimson says, unrolling the letter. "There's this rich, crazy widow out in the outskirts of Trottingham. She's got a thing for dragons, but doesn't understand how they age. Somehow she thinks they stay babies for decades and has decided she wants to have some so she can be their mother forever. That's where we come in."

“Oh, so we are scamming her?” Velvet giggled.

[theJozza]

"Well not entirely," Crimson shrugs, but also giggles. "Obviously she's not crazy enough to accept any dragon, so what we gotta do is find some smaller, younger ones, and then by the time we drop them off in Trottingham make sure they think they think they're babies as much as she will. Maybe they'll stay that way for a few years...or a few days. We just gotta be sure that until we get our gold they play the part."

“Sounds good to me. Shall we start the hunt?”

[theJozza]

"My sentiments exactly," Crimson grins and leads her partner out to a wagon parked behind the tavern. Soon enough the two are in the outskirts of the dragon kingdom. "Think it would be best if we split up," Crimson says as she loads her pack with supplies. "Remember we need at least two dragons so we each get one and meet back here. Then we gotta put some distance between us and here before we can start...adjusting them."

As the two hunters are getting ready, Smolder is pacing around the woods not too far away. The young dragon was home from Friendship school for spring break, but with her older brother off with his own friends she was feeling pretty bored.
