Sweetie Belle was about to dig in with gusto when Rarity suddenly put a napkin around her neck. Of course. Not a big deal though, and she was just happy to have some food, and a distraction from whatever was going on, clearly it was something, she just didn't know what, and she was starting to think it wasn't as simple as Rarity had made it out to be when it had been explained earlier. Though as they kept eating, and with Sweetie not having much else to do but focus on her sister, she can clearly tell something is bothering the mare.

"Okay. What's going on?" Sweetie said after she finished eating, she normally ate faster than her sister anyways, and Rarity seemed quite distracted by 'something' as well. Sweetie Belle eyes her sister suspiciously. "Something is up with you and this Suri mare, are you two dating or something? Is that it?" Sweetie Belle spat out her wild guess, not sure of what could be throwing her sister off unless it was something of that magnitude, especially after Suri had been so rude to them earlier, clearly Rarity must really like this mare to keep putting up with her right?

Rarity is wiping her mouth when she starts hearing Sweetie's questions. She sighs feeling that the "jig is up" or something along those lines. Naturally she also starts considering to simply lie to Sweetie Belle some more, but at this point that feels like it likely won't work and/or will only make this situation worse. She could tell her some of the truth, but not the full extent to what Suri's done, but maybe it's too late for that too.

Then as Rarity is contemplating her options, she hears Sweetie Belle's last question and double takes.

"Wha-What?" She sputters blushing a bit. "No no no, absolutely not! I can safely say that Suri is just about the last mare in all of Equestria I would ever consider going on a date with!" Rarity pauses for a minute to take a few deep breaths to regain her composure, realizing that at this point she might as well commit to tell Sweetie most of the truth. "I'm....sorry, Sweetie Belle," she sighs. "Yes I haven't been completely honest with you. Suri and I are NOT friends. Frankly, she's one of the few mares I can say I more or less detest, and probably one of the most dishonest and nasty ones that I've ever met. The truth is," she pauses to take another deep breath. "The only reason I agreed to have you model her dresses is she's...forcing me to in a way." Rarity resists telling the last part about Coco, still nervous about giving her sister the full story. After all, this still could be dangerous and she doesn't want Sweetie Belle to get too involved. She was all too familiar with how gung ho she could be with her "Cutie Mark Crusader" background.

Sweetie Belle can't help but smile at how flustered her sister becomes, almost believing she'd guessed correctly! Though Rarity quickly informed her that was not the case. "What's she forcing you with?" Sweetie asked immediately, after all she didn't know what Suri could do to force Rarity like this, after all Rarity was her sister! She was strong! She had connections! Though it must have been something embarrassing to her sister, was Sweetie's thought anyway, after all if Suri was doing something illegal, Rarity could just tell the guards right? Or maybe something that would effect her business?

It wasn't a huge deal to just model some dresses though, so it's not like this was the worst thing ever, though from her experience with bullies, Sweetie doubted it would only be modeling dresses, surely Suri would probably start asking more and more of Rarity, trying to get as much out of whatever leverage the mare had over her sister.

"Well it's....complicated," Rarity sighs, turning away. At this point it did seem like a lost cause to try and keep Sweetie Belle out of it, considering she knew all too well how gung-ho her sister could be once she had her mind set on something. However, if Suri was willing to go this far, well...Rarity didn't want to risk Sweetie Belle getting in any sort of danger. "Look, all you need to know is that...she's done something wrong, very wrong, but as of now I'm not in a position to do anything about it...yet." Rarity says turning back to Sweetie. "So just let me handle this and play along for right now okay? But make sure to never be alone with Suri too." Rarity says with a nervous smile. She's hoping that this will be enough to keep Sweetie out of this, but she doubts it.

Meanwhile Suri is sitting back in her dressing room a content smirk on her face. Obviously getting her hooves on Rarity's brat of a sister would have helped her plans along, but she still had the advantage so it's not like it was a major loss. Besides, that wasn't her main objective anyway.

Sweetie Belle just tilted her head a bit, looking somewhat confused when Rarity explained that. Could it be that wrong if Rarity was handling it herself? To her it seemed like it must be some kind of personal thing Suri must have done. Something Rarity didn't want to end up involving other ponies in lest the secret get out. "Mm.. Okay sis, if you say so." Sweetie said as she looked at her sister, obviously she would do her best to not be alone with the mare.

Though she did sigh a little, it was bad enough to have to be in this fashion show in the first place, now there was all this added junk with her sister and Suri! Hopefully it didn't depend on her winning because she honestly didn't think she would do all that well during the rest of this, but she would still try her best. Though part of her did want to purposely fail, maybe ruin one of Suri's dresses somehow while in front of all those ponies, make the mare regret messing with her sister, but she doubted that would be a good idea.

"Thank you, Sweetie Belle," Rarity smiles and pulls her sister into a sudden, but very gentle hug. "I'm sorry things have turned this way, but I promise I'll handle this and I certainly won't let Suri ruin our week together. No matter what she's got up her sneaky sleeve." Rarity says, giving Sweetie a nuzzle. It was certainly an unfortunate frustration that Suri was once again interfering in what was supposed to be a fun trip to Manehattan for Rarity and ponies she cared about, but Rarity would figure this out. That being said, she could tell that it was asking a lot to expect Sweetie Belle to just drop this. However, Rarity had just the distraction that she could still keep a surprise.

"After all, we'll be pretty occupied tonight as it is," Rarity says, a growing smile on her face. "Can't very well forget about our tickets to My Fair Filly.....oh did I mention that yet?" She asks, bracing herself for her sister's reaction.

"Alright if you say so." Sweetie said, still not entirely sure if Rarity did have things under control, and as much as it was a bit selfish to think, Sweetie didn't want to have to worry about it so she decided not to. Nuzzling her sister and enjoying their time together, though as Rarity dropped that information Sweetie Belle couldn't help it as she let out a. "EEEEEEE!" Wriggling in her sisters grasp with immense excitement. "I can't believe you got tickets!" She added, feeling all abuzz, everything they'd just discussed about Suri immediately left Sweetie's mind, being shoved so far back it was a miracle the filly didn't just outright forget the entire conversation.

Of course she was surprised, Sweetie hadn't imagined this as being a 'fun' trip in the first place, she was supposed to help her sister with a silly pageant show, but so far the show hadn't really mattered all that much, and it wasn't that big of a deal. Maybe Sweetie should consider doing this for her sister more often if it meant Rarity would take her out and do stuff like this with her more often.

"I told you we were going to have fun didn't I?" Rarity says with a giggle as she feels her sister vibrate in excitement. Internally she sighs in relief at how her "distraction" has clearly worked at making Sweetie Belle forget about Suri. "Now then, we've had lunch so now just wait here while I go check when we'll be called for your solo posing before the judges," Rarity says, as she sets Sweetie Belle down, before heading for the door. Upon reaching it she glances over her shoulder and, in a more serious tone adds, "Also this time I'll be locking the door. Don't let anypony in but me, okay?" She says, clearly not taking anymore chances with Suri trying something while she was gone.

As it happens, Suri was still keeping an eye on their dressing room door, but upon seeing Rarity lock it as she leaves, she grumbles to herself and skulks back to her own room.

"Well guess that's that for now," She says to herself as she starts to work on her own dress. "No big deal. Long as I have that traitor Miss goody four hooves will do whatever I want. And if I can get that brat under my hoof....I can really get my revenge..." She chuckles to herself as she sews.

"Okay." Sweetie responds as her sister leaves. Thinking far more about wanting to get done with this so she could go and have more fun with her sister, although the door locking statement does bring her back a bit to the whole 'Suri' thing. Which Sweetie can't really do anything about, maybe if her friends were here they could try and get to the bottom of this, but just by herself? She didn't think that would end up going well, besides, she didn't want to do anything that might jeopardize getting to spend time doing fun things with Rarity. So there she sat, waiting for when her sister would return. It was only about half a minute before Sweetie was looking around to find anything she could occupy her mind with, now that she was awake, and she wasn't hungry, now she was just bored.

Rarity makes quick work of heading to the postings for the afternoon schedule. Even if Sweetie Belle is first she knows they'll have at least another hour before that as the contest gives everypony ample time to have lunch and prepare. She's honestly hoping for a relatively early time slot, just to get them out and back to the hotel room as soon as possible so they can relax and have plenty of time to get ready for the show tonight. In that regard she's pleased to see that Sweetie Belle is the 6th contestant in line.

Of course, Rarity, begrudgingly has to check when Suri will be called and sees that she'll be the 14th.

(I really have to think of something), Rarity thinks to herself as she heads back to the dressing room. (The longer that horrid mare is involved with my precious sister the more I hate it.). She grumbles and uses her magic to unlock the door and walk in.

"All right Sweetie Belle," Rarity says as she approaches her sister. "I saw our slot and we have plenty of time to get ready. First though," Rarity says, reaching her hoof down to check Sweetie's diaper.
