Level 2: (A user with 10 or more posts who has been a member over two weeks) have vastly reduced advertising (including removal of the large full screen closable adverts)
Level 3: (A member who has been registered over a month and has over 50 posts, or has a special account like "artist" or "writer" sees minimal advertising.
Level 4: (VIP Donators) receive no advertising.
All donators of $10 or more will never see an advert on our site again!

I'd like to add an addendum to the list:
Fooly Cooly (Fl Cl): with it's intense plotline and condensed format, it is a short series which manages to tell very much over a very short period of time: at least as much as an anime with 20 or so episodes. And it blends high-speed action with intuitive gimmicks, philosophical consideration and humor in a bizzarly elegant and almost art-like way. All the characters are well defined and executed in a believable way. I recommend it!

I'm afraid I'm rather mainstream, and I haven't delved too deep into the anime/manga world.
My favorites as of now are (in no particular order) Bleach, 666Satan, DeathNote, Code Geass, and Rurouni Kenshin.
(P.S: I'm open to suggestions)

Hmmmmm, that's a tough one. I think they would be in this order:
#1 Death Note
#2 Vampire Knight
#3 Naruto
#4 Hellsing
Death Note due to it's incredible plot twists and it's view of justice. Not to mention that the secretive introduction to the wammy kids.
Vampire Knight due to it's great and dynamic music and moral conflicts between the main characters. And it totally immerses you in this world of vampires living among us.
Naruto due to it's storyline of revenge, personal struggles and corruption.
And Hellsing to to just it's plain epicness LOL
